fun 1/11/2006

We take our kids here each and every time we visit my sister. usually twice a year. It's a very fun place with lots of neat and interesting things to look at. They have several wonderful exhibits and beautiful gardens and ponds. Makes for a fun, relaxing family outing. Great gifts shops and a nice little cafe as well, all of which is very affordable. more

Magical Wonderland 9/18/2005

On my last visit to Albuquerque my best friend and I decided to take our children to the botanical gardens. The gardens are beautiful and were a lot of fun for the kids. First you can walk through the castle following the dragons footprints, then you venture into the giant vegetable patch where there are huge ants and buzzing bees and even a pumpkin you can walk into. The Rio Grande Botanical Gardens also offers a Christmas light walk through that is beautiful. I highly recommend visiting as soon as you can. more

Great Zoo 9/16/2005

Of all the zoos that I have visited the Rio Grande Zoo has to be one of my favorites. I believe that they have done an excellent job of making the exhibits look like the animals habitat instead of just cages like you see in other zoos. The grounds are beautiful and well cared for. I visit the zoo almost I am in town visiting family. more

Wonderful family fun! 9/4/2005

We have a membership and love going in the summer to see all of the roses and butterflies. Our favorite, though, is the River of Lights display during the holiday period! The garden has a children's fantasy land where everything is oversized. The aquarium is next door and is really nice as well. more

Love the train!! 9/4/2005

Our family goes at least three times a month so our train addicted son can ride the train around the park. It is a pleasure to take him as the exhibits are world class. The Rio Grande zoo is wonderfully laid out and boasts beautiful exhibits! more

Great Zoo! 8/22/2005

The Rio Grande Zoo is a really good zoo in New Mexico! They have a large variety of animals. It is large but not to big where you would not be able to see every exhibit in one day. They are always making improvements and renovations. The animals are for the most part out to see. My daughter loves and as well as I do! We go a couple of times a year! more

Love spending time here 8/5/2005

This is the perfect place to go when the weather is nice out. It is very spacious and there are so many different kinds of plants to look at. The set-up is nice. They have a big grassy park-like area that would be perfect for picnics. There is also a lake that is very pretty. My daughter loved exploring in the little castle and playing in the pretend bird nest. more

Love taking my daughter here 8/5/2005

I brought my daughter here when she first learned how to walk and she loved every exhibit! Lots of things were at her eye level and there was an exhibit on the first floor that was made to look like a ship that she was fascinated with. Her favorite part was the very last exhibit: the shark tank. I just saw her eyes light up. She loved being right next to it and watching the fish swim all around her. The prices did go up, but it's understandable. I have not eaten at the restaurant here yet so no comments on that! more

Aquarium 7/31/2005

I wanted to do review on the Albuquerque Biological Park because it's one to the best places to visit here in Albuquerque. It includes exhibits of animals, mazes, plants, music and much much more. The food there is great they serve a different varied of foods. Right now there in the process of communing three amusement park together, the bio park, tingly beach and the zoo. for any tourist that comes to Albuquerque, I would really recommend that they visit this place more

Great Place to Relax 7/27/2005

The Albuquerque Botanical Gardens are one of the most beautiful, serene places you will find within the city. It is on the same property that has the Albuquerque Aquarium and you can purchase tickets to both of them plus the zoo for one low price or you can purchase them separate. As you wander through the gardens you will see the flowers in bloom, butterflies fluttering around, bees pollinating the flowers, hummingbirds stopping by and you will find quiet. There is a cactus greenhouse that has every cactus you could imagine as well as a butterfly house and a hummingbird house. All of this is wonderful but watch out for the schools taking field trips it ruins your peace and quiet. In the summer they sometimes hold concerts on the lawn. more

beautiful garden 6/20/2005

The Garden currently covers 20 developed acres, including a 10,000 square foot glass conservatory housing native and exotic plants from desert and Mediterranean climate zones and a seasonal butterfly conservatory featuring hundreds of free-flying North American butterflies and moths. It's absolutely beautiful and we go there atleast once a month - often times more. We enjoy it so much and never get bored by going there. more
