Alamo Rent A Car

We rented a mini-van in Orlando for 13 days in March 2015. We put over 700 miles on it including many trips with 6 passengers. Alamo gave us a great rate and the car drove, handled and performed very well. No problems with our billing or service from Alamo. more

We rented a mini van for 4 1/2 days in Orlando, Fl. We were very pleased with the car - comfortable, new and a good ride. We got a very good price too. The only problem - when we returned the car, they charged us for gas ($40. plus) and shouldn't have because we had filled the tank before returning the car. I didn't notice the charge until we arrived home. I called the 800 number right away and the customer service rep listened to my problem, asked if I had the gas receipt (I do) and she said she would credit our charge card for the incorrect gas charge. I asked if she needed a copy of my receipt and she said no, she would just credit the charge. I appreciate the customer service very much and will continue to use Alamo whenever I need a rental car. more

I received exactly what i booked from Alamo at Orlando International Airport.They brought me a 2015 Dodge Ram Pick-Up with only 1000 miles on it. This truck was great i put 400 miles on it in 7 days.I always like Alamo vehicles they are next to new and a company you can always trust.Thanks again Richard Henry Connellsville Pa. more

Alamo makes it easier than any rental car company to get off the plane and into a car. This level of service is repeated when you drop the car off: fast, simple and friendly. Considering that Alamo usually has the best rates, there's no reason to rent from another company. more

They charged me more than the agreed apon price that I got booking online. The car was fine. Trying to get the Orlando branch onthe phone was a nightmare. I tried the customer service number, they couldn't help me. Then I Googled the Orlando branch, called that number and got customer service again. I tried almost every number from the options with Customer service until finally I found someone willing to ring me over directly to the Orlando branch. I wanted to REMOVE the extra insurance as I found out my credit card covers it for free. They said that I would have to bring the car in for an inspection before they could take the coverage off. I could understand this policy for adding coverage in the event that I crashed the car or something but why require an inspection to remove coverage? They most likely do this because they know I wouldn't want to waste $10 in tolls and a couple hours of my time to save $30. They did however remove the fuel service when I asked, which i appreciate. more

very good experience in Orlando. Easy to do the rental and get the car. Very reasonable price. Only negatives--sales girl a bit too pushy, then no one did a ""walk around"" to be sure there were no problems with the car. In fact I was told to simply ""go pick a car""--no instructions or help whatsoever. Before leaving the parking lot, I had to find someone to show her the lever was broken off the mechanism to adjust the seat. THEN she told me, ""oh, tell the fellow at the booth when you drive out."" Could have explained that to me initially......I've read too many reviews where renters are blamed for damage they did not do, so an inspection is very important to me. Otherwise, Alamo was good and i would rent again. more
