Two people at work have sung Dr. Adachi's praises so I took their advice and was MORE than pleased at my experience!! From beginning to end I cannot say a single, solitary bad thing about the office! I especially appreciated Dr. Adachi's personal time and attention in answering my questions; taking the time to explain how the eye works (at my prompting) and making sure I got the best prescription. This was head and shoulders above the attention and care I received at my last eye exam. Thank you so much for having a warm and friendly/knowledgeable staff, Dr. Adachi - and for your care and dedication to your patients! It's very clear that you love what you do and care deeply for people! more

Amazing Staff 9/28/2010

The staff at Dr Adachi's office is AMAZING! For the past 3 years, they have routinely gone above and beyond. They even walked a pair of contacts to my office during a particularly hectic day last year - who does that?! The office manager bends over backwards to accommodate my busy work/family schedule. The assistant is great at her job - she adjusted my glasses to fit much more comfortably in no time at all. I seriously cannot say enough good things about these 2 ladies. They make being able to see easy and convenient. As for the comment that they are too expensive - their prices are comparable to other providers. more

Too Expensive! 9/24/2009

I have been seeing Dr. Adachi for 20 years but I will not return. For some reason a test where you put your face in a machine and they print out a piece of paper costs $200! And although the cost would have been reduced if I'd had the right kind of insurance, no discount for me! 20 YEARS. The glasses also cost too much. And the ""assistant"" who I'm sure is not a optician, didn't even fit the glasses on me because she was so concerned with collecting the balance owed. Goodbye, Dr. Adachi! Pros: $200 for a 5 minute test? more

Great visit, recommended 12/11/2008

This was my first eye exam in over 5 years and it was a positive experience. Dr. Adachi is pleasant and thorough; he didn't 'dumb it down' when I asked questions. After the exam, I selected frames. The staff suggested 5-6 varieties within the general style that I had in mind; there was no pressure to choose a higher-priced model or style. The glasses look sharp and I'm a pleased customer! Pros: Good explanations & office atmosphere Cons: Had to wait a few extra minutes in the lobby before being seen more

Skip this office 11/18/2008

Dr. Adachi is nice enough and very knowledgeable, but his staff is AWFUL. You will feel like a number, not a human and they will drain you dry with extra fees. I have been to quite a few optometrists, and this is the only one where I truly felt like all they cared about was getting my money. I even went back for a second annual exam, because I thought maybe my first experience was just a poor one. Again, customer service was some of the worst I have ever seen, they don't return your calls, and make no apparent effort to remember you. I will take my hard earned money elsewhere next time. more

They had me at hello :) 5/31/2007

I was riding my motorcycle and an object flew right into my eye causing me serious irritation. Not only did Dr. Adachi take time out of his busy schedule to squeeze me in, he actually called me at work the next day to check on the progress on my eye. After such an incredible experience, I don't know know I could ever go to another eye doctor. I was completely blown away. These are true professionals and a beacon for the medical profession. They truly believe in helping those who need it! Thanks Doc! Pros: Everything about the visit! more
