A & D Automotive Transmission

i took my car there to get a transmission fixed and they took over two weeks to get it done, they charged me $50 bucks for a tow. when i finally got my car my power steering was gone, they claim they didnt do it but i had no problems before i took it there. the second day i drove my car transmission fluid started to leak everywhere, they charged me another $50 for the tow. I went to check on my car after 3 more days and the manager was very disrespectful. They charged me $2300 to fix my transmission and it was out again after 4 months. These guys are con artists and low lifes dont ever take your car to these fools cause they will cheat you. After taking my car to another shop, they told me A&D DID JUST ENOUGH WORK SO IT WOULD LAST UNTIL THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. I HOPE THEY GO OUT OF BUSINESS!! more

Installed a new clutch, which never performed properly. We have driven clutch cars all of our lives and have never had one perform like this. We smell burning, and the clutch doesn't want to catch. It's very shaky and undependable. Another repair shop said it was crumbling and in terrible shape, but A& D continues to say it's perfect. These people are incompetent at best, and crooks at worst. Fortunately, I only spoke to these people. I am generally concerned with a Repair Shop, when they will not give you an ""average"" price to do a very specific repair. (i.e., take out a transmission and put one back in) Apparently, they know more than anyone else, and are afraid to ""tarnish"" their reputation by not charging $250.00 to determine if you know what your problem is. After trying to be patient for over a week while this place was in possession of my car, I decided not to have the car repaired. That whole week, I kept being told that someone would call me and update me but I had to call continuously to find out information about my car. They also take an extremely long time to generate receipts. After having the car towed and this place disassemble my transmission.... THE PARTS WERE NOT IN THE CAR (transmission, torque converter, battery, etc). When I called to tell them about it, I received nothing but attitude and they blamed this on the tow truck company although it was never explained to me that reassembly wasn't included. Even if it wasn't, why weren't the parts at least boxed and put in the car??? The manager was rude and told me ""It is not my business to worry about what people think about my attitude, I'm running a business"". I am so disgusted.... I would never go there again. Not to mention, I spent $250 for nothing. I have had several dealings with RD and Joe through the years and they have always been honest and treated me right. Highly reccomended! more
