Just attended a birthday party here and the staff was great with the kids. Everyone had a great time.

Worst

Worst kids birthday party experience EVER!!!!! 12/17/2011

Couldn't agree with the other posters more. Rule Nazis... Went there for a 4 year olds party and they wouldn't let the kids really even play. Tried to stand with my shy 3 year old and was told parents weren't allowed on the floor with the kids. My daughter ended up running off crying her eyes out. This was after they had already chewed her out (not me) for jumping on a trampoline earlier. Even walking from one area to another got you yelled at. Never seen anything like it. Was told 'those are the rules.' I asked to speak to a manager and conveniently there wasn't one available... The 'planned' activities were pretty bad too ... Which is why the kids wanted to do other things and much of why they got yelled at. I've done many gym parties at other Allen establishments and have never had even close to an issue. Four other parents were also irate so it wasn't just me. Save yourself some heartache and avoid this place unless you want a bunch of screaming, crying kids and a bunch of angry parents. The workers yelled at so many kids we lost track of how many. Go anywhere else .... Metroplex Gym is one of the best and Eagles Wings is good to. more

Not the place for real gymnastics! 8/6/2011

This place is great if you want a day care, but don't expect your child to learn gymnastics. They intentionally try to keep gymnasts below level 4 and refuse to let them move on. They do not make enough money off higher levels because they are in the gym so many hours and the price gets cheaper per hour the more you are in the gym. So they send them away, year after year devastated level 4 (going 5) girls get sent away and told they are not good enough. Told they are not good enough by the head team coach who was a dancer not a gymnast. These same girls go to other gyms and succeed, but could be alot further along if not for ASI's poor training and holding them back. more

Don't go to any ASI Gymnastics, ever, for any reason 4/11/2011

ASI gymnastics is a multi-location business run by a single man who is more interested in quantity than quality. He keeps the kids competing within the ASI world only to keep then ignorant, unless you've come from another gym, then you know better. He has, on at least 4 seperate occassions at different ASI gyms, fired the coach (or eliminated their position) and dissolved the team because they were better than the other ASI gyms. There are so many more options for real, quality gymnastics in the Dallas/Fort Worth area - stay away from ASI. more

Great for cheer girls, awful for competitive gymnasts. 11/20/2007

Don't switch to ASI if you are a serious/natural talented gymnast. My child was from a different gym, very tough, disciplined, competitive. ASI is a different environment, more of a social club than a gym. It is great for cheer girls, or to let your kid get thier energy out, but awful for serious gymnasts. My child ended up retiring the sport, after falling into mediocrity with the rest of the ASI team members. Workouts consisted of drills that were not supervised or coached, a few crunches and pushups, and a couple of laps. Not even Carly Patterson's kind words were enough to fix the damage/defeatist attitude/loss of skills and physical shape that ASI caused. Don't make the same mistake that we did. This is NOT a place for a gymnast with any kind of drive or raw talent. I would suggest WOGA, University of Gymnastics in Plano, or Gymnastics Place. Pros: Pretty, big, fun for little kids, great for parties, great for social events Cons: Poor instructors, non-competitive, lack of discipline, poor scores, low success rates. more

The toddlers program has a variety of activities. There are set goals for the children, but there is no pressure. more
