Horrible!!! 7/6/2008

We went to one of the last showings of the evening and had a terrible experience. First, when we were searching for seats, there was garbage and food everywhere. They had obviously not cleaned up from the prior showing. Second, they turned off the air conditioning in the theater for the whole movie. It became so stuffy and hot, we were falling asleep during the movie. Last, as soon as the credits were beginning, they turned everything off and turned the lights up. We were not allowed to see past the first credit. It felt as if we were being punished for having the nerve to attend their last showing of the evening of this particular film. They obviously wanted us out of there and fast, by first trying to suffocate us and then cutting off the end of the film. Better than other cinemas nearby 12/25/2007

When I'm downtown, I only watch movies here or at Cinerama; both by AMC. It might be because Pacific Place is newer and therefore nicer than other cinemas. But I love the northwest-themed atmosphere and how unique it feels compared to the typical multiplex one can get used to. For the same price as other theaters, AMC Pacific Place is the preferable choice downtown.\r \r The only downfall is that it won't show ALL new movies coming out. New movies seem to split between here and the Regal Meridian down the street. I always pray that the movie I want to see will be here...rather than at Regal. Good theater 11/24/2006

The Pacific Place theater is pretty good. Very state of the art and it's nice sized. The sound is pretty amazing. I love their stadium seating and their seats are comfortable. The theater rooms and facilities are kept clean. The customer service staff are pretty nice and helpful. It is one of my favorite theaters in seattle. Pros: Good movie selection, good prices, nice clean theatre, stadium seating Cons: parking is hard to find more

Great Customer Service 10/31/2006

Not only is this theater located in a great shopping area, they have excellent customer service. This past summer, they had an ad for a midnight showing of Superman Returns and I and two of my friends headed down to partake in the adventures of Lois Lane and Clark Kent. However, when we got to the theater, it was closed. Luckily, we found a worker, who in turn got a manager, who let everyone who came for the midnight showing in and they set up a special viewing of it for the 20 (or so) of us that showed up. I went from being terribly disappointed to being quite content! Pros: located in the mall--shopping!! Cons: parking downtown is usually difficult and expensive more

Weak sauce! 2/25/2003

I recently tried to go catch a matinee at the Pacific Place and had a very, very poor experience. The film broke TWICE on us and there was no communication between the employees and the anxious crowd...Eventually we just left. The whole experience was forgettable and pathetic. more

Displayed HORRID customer service 2/21/2003

we went to see a movie and they had problems with the projector (understandable and forgivable). The staff at Pac Place failed to inform us for 15 minutes while we remained there waiting...then it started in the middle of the film. After a chorus of boos from the audience the film stopped again. The remedy they provided was to restart the movie from the very beginning with trailers and all - now an hour into the film we hadn't seen but 5 seconds. No manager, no service, no explanation. We will never go there again to see a movie more

Way too much to pay for a movie 1/10/2003

the rush hour special between 4-6 was a good deal for a good theatre, and i liked their student discount price of 6.50 or close to it, cant remember. now the matinee is a rediculous 7 dollars, why go pay 7 dollars what you can get for 5, and the regular adult price is 9.25!! ever since AMC took over i have tryed my best to stay away, but it is a beautiful theater, just not worth the price. Pros: very nice architectur, one of the newer ones Cons: bad admition prices, bad food prices, rip off more

Friendly and Clean 1/10/2003

Great place to go, but may require some planning when seeing a blockbuster film. The screen size is large and sound quality clear. Movie times are rather dissapointing for how big the place is, and Movie selection is a bit dismal from time to time. They have a good clean atmosphere and friendly staff. Regardless of whether they let underage children into ""R"" movies or not AMC Pacific Place has many more redeeming qualities that make me give it a rating of 9. Like the ""love-seats"" in the back 12/17/2002

I've been to this theater numerous times. I haven't ever been disappointed. If you're going to a really poopular movie, make sure you show up early if you don't want to sit in the first row. I don't like paying for food at a theater, so I wouldn't know how good it is... They have pretty comfortable seats - though not nearly as comfortable as the Cinerama. I really like the seats in the back of some of the theaters here, they have the ""love-seat"" configuration - great for snuggling on a date! more

My favourite movie theatre! 9/22/2002

This is my favourite movie theatre! I like it because it is close to my home, close to shopping centers and restaurnats. It is locate on the 3rd floor of the Pacific Place - very beautiful shopping center. The theatre has a very cozy atmosphere, it is perfect for dates. It has some good video games in it. There is a little bar as well. 2 restrooms on every floor. Possibility to sneak for many movies - you pay more but watch more movies :) I am bad. Large screens. Nice sits. Back sits equiped for dates ;) you know what I mean... There are places where you can sit alone and wait for your movie, play video games when you wait for next movie. Pros: comfort, audio/video, possibility to sneak Cons: ticket prize, movie selection more

No apologies 9/19/2002

Seeing movies here can be great -- seats are comfy and roomy, atmosphere is plush all-around to help make up for high ticket prices. But staff are often clueless and tactless -- when we alerted them that the wrong film was playing onscreen, it took 20-30 minutes for them to set things right (in another auditorium), then another 20 for anything to happen -- and we had to sit through endless previews again. No apologies were offered for our time or extra parking expenses; movie started an hour late. Pros: Atmosphere, Comfort, Sound Cons: Customer Service, Prices, Day Parking Rates more

This place now has matinee prices that rival evening rates- but the design of the theater and sparse staffing makes it easy to sneak into a second movie. more

I live in Portland, OR. On a weekend trip to Seattle a few yrs ago, went to see Meet the Parents here- This is absolutely the BEST theatre i've ever been to and i see alot of them! i always try to catch a show here when i'm up north, and the rest of the time just wish we had one down here!!!! A Great Theater!!! 6/17/2002

Pacific Place has become the downtown theater of choice. With cheap parking in the mall garage, plenty of restuarants, and reasonable prices, I use Pacific Place over other theaters whenever possible. The seating is great and there are plenty of lines for both tickets and concessions. I think the other comments about lines are fairly unfounded, for even if the line is long, you will not have to wait more than 5 minutes. The only problem would be the line difuser, or the gates that are similar to airports. People are to stupid to flow all the way down to the five or six windows and instead clog up the walkway by just lollygaging on the edge of the filter.
