nail nightmare 9/27/2007

I stopped in at A Natural Nail because it was a convenient location. My first mistake was not asking the price of my acrylic nails, I assumed it would be around 30 to 40 dollars (40 MAX). I had called ahead and made an appointment, but when I arrived I was seated and ""walk-ins"" who knew the manager were all taken first. After about 25 minutes finally a young girl took me at her booth. She was NOT friendly until the manager mentioned a ""tip"" and talked on her cell phone most of the time. When I left I was floored at the price, $52 dollars for ONLY one set of acrylics, and my 3 of my fingers were bleeding. The next day my nails were already lifting (Anyone can easily tell because I had French tip) and the brush she used to put the gel on had left behind black hairs inside my nails. It is now 5 days later and one nail has completely come off, and 3 more are on their way. I have had nails numerous times before and do not agree with the excuse they give me for not fixing them ""you must have bad nail beds that won?t take"". I was unhappy with the painful experience, as well as the steep price. I will now have to go to another nail salon, and pay more just to have them fixed. If you?re looking for a nail place, I would strongly advise you to look else ware. This facility is pretty from the outside looking in, but you can never judge a book by its cover.... or a nail salon. Pros: The room was pretty Cons: everything else more

Always satisfied 7/31/2007

Sanitation ratings have always been excellent. I have been going there for at least 11 years and have never had a problem with any of the services offered. They have had some of the same personnel the entire time. I would never think of changing salons. more

Unexperienced nail technician 7/3/2007

I went to Natural Nails at Crabtree Mall to get my nails done. One of the technicians, with six years experience, gave me what is called a Silk Wrap. Silk Wrap are artificial nails that are less toxic than acryic nails. I also received a French Manicure. I paid a whooping $78 for this service. Well, the polish was chipping and wearing off the very next day. And within a week, the silk wrap nails were rough and seperating. One of my nails came off completely. I am a nail bitter which is why I went for these fake nails so I could grow mine out, so I can understand why one may have come off...... but all my nails look terrible just one week after this service. I went to another salon, Diva Nails in the mall and they were SO helpful. They pointed out how water was easily getting under the nails and could likely lead to nail fungus, damaging my natural nails. I will NEVER go back to A Natural Nail again. Pros: nice and open with appealing decor Cons: inexperienced nail technichians pose health risks more

Horrible!!! 12/30/2005

I went in to get a pedicure and it was by far the WORST experience I have ever had. I went in and the lady at the front desk put me right in a chair, where I proceeded to wait with my feet soaking for 45 minutes. Finally another lady came and gave me a 10 minute pedicure which was awful!!! My paint chipped that very night and there was still lots of dead skin on my feet!!! It was wretched. And to top things off, it cost me $40! It wasn't worth $5! The lady that did my pedicure acted like she hated her job and she hated me for being there. I will NEVER go back and I suggest you DO NOT go there!!!! Cons: VERY Overpriced, Terrible Service, Overall Wretched more

No way! 7/28/2005

I took my sister-in-law here last night and my neice. I got my first set of gel nails, my sil got a pedicure and my 8-year old neice got a kids ped and med. It was over priced BIG TIME for the service. My sil's pedicure was about 15 mins and was $40. They charged $45 for my neices ped and med and the girl who did it acted like it was a major chore. And then she spent about a TOTAL of 20 mins performing her services. My nails look like Lee Press On's. The bottoms by my nail bed are all bubbled up. It looks like a child put these nails on. I just got these on last night. It was $52 for a full set, and one of them is even uneven. she layered the gel on too much on one side, my nail looks lopsided. Cons: overpriced, poor service more
