Bronx Bar is a welcome alternative to the long-time Village dives (e.g., Gingerman) and boring college kid bars that have popped up around it (Baker Street, Brian O'Neils). The jeans-and-tennis-shoes-on-a-Saturday-night crowd may not feel comfortable at Bronx, but anyone looking for good music, a great crowd and lots of energy will be right at home. There is a reason this bar has survived so long in Houston.
