Visible Changes Precision Hair -Memorial City

I have been going to Visible Changes for a long time now to get my hair cut but this last year I have been going to get my hair colored. I was very hesitant and scared but I trusted the staff at VC. They put me with one of the top colorist and her name is Myrna she is sooo great with me and I wouldnt trust anyone else to color my hair but her. She always makes me feel very comfy and at ease. She always does such a great job to my hair, making it feel soo smooth and silky when I leave her. If you were interested in getting your hair colored I would recommend Myrna at VS Memorial City Mall, shes the best, I promise!!!! You will not be dissapointed. more

Cindy is the consummate professional and always has a smile on her face. She is really interested in getting to know her clients and is a great listener. She is very talented as a creative stylist and a leader and respected by her colleagues. I have been going to Cindy for many years. She has been cutting and styling my daughter's hair since she was 15 and she's 20 now. My daughter just loves Cindy and she always felt that CIndy listened to what she wanted in high school when she went to her for her ""updos"". My 17 year old son gets his hair cut by Cindy and she makes him so comfortable, that he just says, ""Mom call Cindy and see if I can go by there for a haircut today"". CIndy is an incredibly hard worker and she is deeply committed to her family and her career. I feel fortunate to have found Cindy so close to home. She's one of a kind and all our family thinks the world of her. more

My family and I have been going to Cindy for at least twelve years now. Cindy ALWAYS takes the time with each of us to find out what changes we want (if any) and always has some great ideas. I can honestly say that I can go in and say ""do whatever you want"" and not worry one bit! It never fails, people ask me all of the time who does my hair and I gladly tell them. I have even called her at the last minute -- asking if she was working one morning and she drove in (when she wasn't due to work until 11:30 that day) just to help me out -- not many people would do that!! When getting my hair cut, I have always looked for someone who really takes the time to listen to what my wishes are. When visiting Visible Changes I met an amazing lady named Cindy. After my first visit with her, I was very pleased. She was very friendly and made my time with her feel like a visit with an old friend. I was looking thru the city search reviews when I came across a disgruntled ladies complaint against Cindy at Visible Changes and was TAKEN ABACK by her comments. I was referred to Cindy by a friend about 7 years ago. I have been going to her off since then, when I moved to Katy I tried someone different, but it wasn?t the same, no one can cut my hair like Cindy does, in fact I just go into to her and tell her to do what she wants, THAT?S HOW MUCH I TRUST HER! more

I have been a client of Cindy?s for more than ten years and I feel more than qualified to submit a review of her skills and abilities as a hair stylist. Cindy is excellent. She has always done a great job on my hair. When I walk out of the salon I always feel confident that my hair looks great, and certain that I made the right choice in Cindy for my hair stylist. But it?s not just me. I often arrive early for appointments and have seen clients, males and females, old and young, and of various races and hair types, walk from Cindy?s station smiling and appreciative of Cindy?s work. I have also referred friends and family members to Cindy and they experienced the same high level of satisfaction. While her hair stylist skills are superb, it?s not just the multiple awards and trophies that she has earned that keep me coming back. more

I would like to to take this time to express how impressed I was with the service I received. I took my daughter to see Cindy ,,, OMG she was Wonderful. My daughter is having her Quinceanera on May 28 ,,just a few weeks away..STRESSED!! So my Daughter just had her pohotoshoot yesterday at Mercer Arbortoreum. We were very nervous to find someone that would do exactly what she dreamed of. This is a once in a lifetime moment that she will never forget. So I heard about Cindy at Visible Changes Memorial City. I heard she does a wonderful job. My daughter needed a cut as well as her hairstyle for her photoshoot and her BIG day!! .. She is very picky about her bangs they have to be cut just perfect. We took the chance and went to see Cindy,,,, she was Great from the start. My daughter had one photo which was a front view of the style that she was interested in. We did not have a back view of the updo, so we were nervous. Cindy went off the picture that she was given. The end result was Amazing!! It was more than we expected. Cindy was extrememly sweet, she did not treat us like a customer she treated us like family, it was the best service I have ever received. My daughter was so happy. we left very pleased and booked our appointment for MAY 28!!!!!!.. My daughters photoshoot photos are going to be beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Cindy!!!!!!! I have usually had a good experience at Visible Changes, no problems. Evelyn always does a FANTASTIC job on my color. I have had to hop around to find a good fit for the past year....since I was up charged by Teresa....I didn't appreciate the additional fee that even the receptionist agreed didn't seem right. I ran 10 minutes late and she added $15 to my bill (under her hair cut fee) to conceal upcharging me. I immediately noticed it wasn't right and quizzed the front desk, they checked with her and it appeared it was wrong. She was adding additional time, although my haircute only took 45 min. I was angry because when I arrived I apologized for being late 10 -15 min. and she said no problem, never a mention of any additional fees and then the way she secretly added the fee just made me angry. So since then I have not found a good fit for me, none bad haircuts ....but none great. So, then I made an appt. with Cindy just about 5 days ago...thinking she normally does decent job on my daughters hair, she will do good on mine. NOT! She didn't show me the back of my hair before I left, but honestly I wasn't concerned the front looked good and she always did a good job on my daughters. Anyways, I had shown her pictures and asked for some thinning out and just reshape layers...I was continuing to grow out my little over shoulder length hair. When I woke up the next morning I noticed immediately that my hair appeared totally messed up as if I had just washed and let it air dry. When I took a look at the back in the mirror it was very apparent what she did...she cut me a major mullet type cut and screwed my layers up beyond belief! It really is unreal! It was lopsided and so botched. WHen I went over it with the flat iron I managed to get it a little better, but still looked like someone took a hatchet to the middle portion of my hair and I very much looked like a mushroom. I was too embarrassed and humiliated to go back to the salon. I feared they wouldn't give me my money back , instead would offer to fix. After all I had been through I decided moving on was the best thing. But, I had to spend more money on a new cut and cut additional 3 inches off just to get it back to ground zero. Even the haircutter that I went to said she has people come in that claim they got a bad haircut and sometimes she addmitted some were a little off, but she said mine was the worst she had seen. She called it a mullet cut without my input at all. I have just cried and cried over the time and money I have spent, I will never ever go back to visible changes - I hope that if you read this you head my caution. I'm sure there are some good hairstylist there, but I'm not sure how one get's paid $65 and called top tier stylist and gives mullet cuts! cindy should be sued for what she did to my hair! more

This is review for the Memorial City Mall location. Unlike most criticism here, my problem was neither with the front desk or cutting / styling service; to make it full - it was the coloring and the acquaintance with Majolo the manager. The bottom line problem here is lack of recognition that it is after all service that they perform, and whoever does it, should follow the expectations of the customer instead of thinking they know better, or can easily handle the dissatisfaction. There are complaints about the staff not listening; mine was even more problematic. Dena the certified colorist assured me she understood immediately and was excited about what I wanted; after all there were women around displaying the 'streaks' I asked for and it was not particularly complicated. At the end of what looked like self delivered all around $10 color (at $150) she acted still convinced she did a great job. When I went back for a refund a week later she was asking 'so what do you want' as if assuming I will repeat the mistake, and somehow not dare to follow up on my dissatisfaction. This was an unfortunate combination of the colorist's certification, self-confidence, lack of skill and ability, expectation I would 'go along' to avoid the hassle and my -minimal in my opinion- expectation that some subtle contrast streaks will show. The refund meeting included the manager's assurances that 'nobody else in town' would refund the bad job (but they, generous folks, exceptionally were) to the person of my character. I assured them I would get the money back even without them willing, if necessary, but am still not sure if the situation will lead them to self-reflection and an attempt to improve the skills. This is my very first hair disaster experience; maybe we all need them to appreciate later even average jobs. more

I have had the same stylist for many years and scared to try and new barber and style. I was referred to Xzavier Silver and was BLOWN AWAY how great the new style he gave me looked. Come to find out, he is one of their most requested Senior Cutters................ I won't be going ANYWHERE else now and what a great experience !!! more

oh my! I loved every moment I was there. Dena made sure that I got the special attention that my hair needed. She explained the process so that I could learn how to take care of my hair. I loved every moment and such detail that she gave! And I walked out looking FAB! more

I came in wanting my blunt ends a little less blunt. So the stylist insisted on giving me layers. I kept asking her what that meant, but she was so vague. I told her I was afraid of looking feminine. Once it was all done, she cut at least 6 inches from the top of my hair, not even considering using thinning scissors to thin the ends. Not all guys want a scenester style hair. When I told her it was too short now, she said it would grow out in a month. 6 inches in a month. No kidding? When in doubt, do not let a ""scissor happy stylist"" near your head. The would love nothing more than to feel like a celebrity stylist doing you a making over. more

I have been going to Myrna for my highlights for almost 10 years and I have never been happier with the color. She absolutely knows what she is doing, I have thick hair and she is quick, efficient and always does a great job! Xavier is also excellent with haircutting, he is totally ""into"" cutting hair as he examines it from every angle both before and after drying and gives it that extra touch. I have never had so many compliments as I have had since these 2 have been doing my hair; both are highly recommended. more

My first experience at Visible Changes in Memorial City Mall was not pleasant. As I walked into the salon no one acknowledged my presence as to ask could they help me. I stood there for about 15 minutes waiting to see if someone would be available to ask a simple question. I even stood close enough to the counter/front desk to try and get someone's attention but to no avail. So eventually frustrated and feeling ignored I left the salon with several mixed thoughts. Being new to the Houston area I decided to try such a salon as this which looked to have been able to handle all of my hair needs. Not until my husband encouraged me to return back into the salon did I then get the attention of one stylist, Ms. Novlette who was amazing in helping me. Once speaking with her I was able to make an appointment and come in for a full service hair care. My first appointment was a great experience and the shampoo assistant, Marcus was a wonderful experience after a long day at work. For several months I have been having problems with my hair and what to do with it. Novlette solved my hair care problems and made me feel confident enough to want to return for a second appointment. Only to me calling in to wonder why I did not get a reminder call for my next appointment, they had not put me in the books at all. When I called in to verify my own appointment I was not listed in the books having a second appointment with Novlette. On my first visit I specifically made an appointment to return a second time and to become a standing regular appointment client with Novlette. The young lady who answered the phone let me speak with the assistant manger, Kim, but still she was not able to find me in the appointment book as well. At this point I am not happy and upset with how I have been treated at Visible Changes in Memorial City Mall. Kim offered to squeeze me in for an appointment, but the times are not conducive for me. Why is this happening to me when it comes to find the right salon? Now I am extremely upset and without a good stylist to continue styling my hair. If anyone knows finding a good hairstylist is like finding a good doctor or mechanic for your car. They are extremely important. I hope that eveyone that reads my review is not treated in this such manner and perhaps will have better luck in their visit to the Visible Changes Salon in Memorial City Mall. more

Myrna is the best! Always professional and personable. I look forward to each visit with pleasure. However, today when I was in the salon I was shocked to see a pig sticker at her station!!! If you have a message for your stylists, it should be delivered in private. I could only assume that this was regarding her station and the condition of the station. If my assumption is correct, and I think it is, management is less than professional! more

I've gotten my hair done at visible changes 2 times prior to getting a new haircut this past Monday. First time, I was pleased, second time, I was disappointed. This past Monday I came in to get my long hair cut into a bob. I needed someone who knew how to handle curly hair because I have really curly hair and that was the reason I was disappointed on my last visit because the stylist couldn't get my hair to straighten out. The reception at the front desk recommended me Cynthia and told me he gets his hair cut from her and she's wonderful. I told him, if she's good as you say she is, I'll take your word for it and to schedule me with her. When I got there, I got my hair washed and massaged by Tony, (awesome person) then escorted me to Cynthia's booth. Upon meeting Cynthia she was really nice, told me not to worry since I was super nervous. At then end, I was amazed at her work and loved the new me. My husband was also pleased. I will definitely go back to her and if you have super curly hair or wanting a drastic change. I also would recommend Cynthia. Oh and she was very helpful in helping me fix my bangs that I tried to cut myself at home. :-/ more
