My bf and I have been going to Juan for over a year now and I gotta say that he is my favorite haircutter/stylist. Hes super fun and always leaves my hair in perfect shape. I never leave unhappy with the results and I enjoy how he cuts hair. You can tell he is super confident in what he does and I like that. :) Pros: Friendly, Professional, and awesome results! more

I like the different color shirts (like pink, green, red, etc.) that the hair dressers wear. I think it adds some LIFE to the salon. more

I've been to Visible Changes several times in the past few months. Each time, the receptionist has been less than pleasant. My shirt got soaked during the shampoo session. My stylists never take the time to really listen to what I want. This is probably due to the high volume that a salon in a mall enjoys. I only switched stylists after two unsatisfactory haircuts. My last stylist, Kevin (""master stylist""), was rude and impatient. My haircut reflected his carelessness. I paid 45 dollars for a men's haircut. I would pay more for a better experience and a stylist that takes the time to listen to what I want. For the same money or less, I'm sure you can find a better salon. As a former waiter, I greatly appreciate those in the service and retail industry. Sometimes people have bad days; however, Visible Changes struck out EVERY time I walked in the door. Excellent customer service. Its hard for me to believe that people would say that the staff is ""rude"" and ""should be fired"" because I have never been mistreated by any of the VC staff, and they've always been incredibly polite and as helpful as possible. Juan is the real deal. I refuse to go to anyone else. I have never recieved a haircut from Juan that I was displeased with, i've always walked out incredibly happy with my hair. He always give me useful tips, for example if i show him a picture of what I'd like my hair to look like, he always includes his opinion on what he thinks would look better, which i think is useful because I definitely trust his opinion. Anyways, Juan is the absolute best. :) Pros: Always helpful, always take their time on their work and never rush, very nice staff. Cons: The first women who cut my hair at VC pushed product purchase on me. It was annoying, if i want a product ill ask for it. more

I've been seeing Patricia for at least 5 years. I am always happy with my hair cut. My daughter and son also have their hair cut by Patricia. We love her! more

Bernie did a good job with both of my daughters who have two different grades of hair (due to mixed parents). The girls love her so much that I have to drive from the Woodlands area to Memorial City so that Bernie can make them look marvelous. I've been going to Visible Changes for years now and exclusively the Memorial location for the last 10 and have always received excellent customer service and great haircuts. I've tried those quick cut joints now and again and they just don't measure up to the professionalism and consistency in styling I get from Visible changes and their all star staff. No matter which stylist may have an opening to fit my schedule I can be assured a great hair cut. I'll never go anywhere else. more

I was a repeat visible changes customer until recently. I agree with many of the posts on this website. The front desk customer service has consistently become more rude and disrespectful. I decided after trying to schedule an appointment and being treated like garbage, I would take my business to a salon that values their clientele. So, I decided to treat myself and spend the extra $$ and give Visible Changes a try instead of the ""cheap"" salon I usually go to. HUGE mistake! First of all, they immediately got my hair wet instead of looking at it dry. How in the world can you glean any info on: how the client 's hair lays, the preferred style, the texture, the condition, etc?? In my case, I have a cowlick in front and you can't part it in the middle and have it fall naturally in place. This was ignored. Jose not only refused to cut it the way I specifically wanted it, he charged me for a 'consult' even though I stated on the phone AND in person that I only wanted a cut! When I got to the checkout he had place 4 products on the counter which, on top of the consult fee, took the bill to over $200!! He explained that one of the products would ""be good to scrunch the hair if you want tousled curls for a wash n go."" Did he bother to find out that I have stick straight hair that has no wave whatsoever? Nope. That product is especially useless to me. I demanded the products be removed from the ticket. When I got home, I was half enraged and half in tears at the chopped up mess that was my hair. To add insult to injury, I told him I wanted the length kept and he cut off 4""!! This haircut was 2 days before my vac with friends and I had tol spend the week with my hair in braids to hide it. I no time to run elsewhere. Where would I have gone? To the shop that only charges $10 and does a much better job. more

This was my first and last experience at this visible changes. The front desk was very rude. They acted as though they had better things to do then talk to a customer. They didnt greet me when I came in or tell me goodbye when I left. The whole experience was like WAM BAM THANK YOU MAAM...THE END! more

I have been going to Novlette Spence for almost 14 years now and im 24. While I was in college I would drive all the way back to Houston specifically to go get my hair done by her. Novy is the definition of a hairstylist. She is everything you could ask for. I recently got engaged and now not only does my fiance go to her, but his whole family does also. Novy always has a smile on her face and I always leave with one on mine even if i didnt walk in with one. She is very knowledgeable on all the products and keeps me looking nice with the latest styles. I strongly reccomend her to anyone of any age or gender. I guarantee you will return to her. more

I have been a loyal customer to Novie and I don't plan on going anywhere. I LOVE her spirit, her knowledge and her service. I don't know how she does it, but when I walk out of the salon, I am a total different person and you can see it. If you want a superb short-cut, Xzavier is #1! He has been cutting my hair for 12+ years and it is always perfect. I live downtown, but I still drive to Memorial City every three weeks for my trim, and he listens patiently while I tell him exactly how I like it (although he knows because he cuts it every three weeks!). I've been Mary Ann's client for well over 10 years and she has never dissapointed me. It's reassuring to know everytime I get my hair colored I am never worried. The end result is always amazing!!! She is always advising me on how to maintain the color added or which colors would work best on me. No question is ever left unanswered and you leave feeling and looking like a new person. When I moved to Houston three year ago, I had no clue where to go for my hair style. Somebody for the nail salon recommended Chris, and I was so blessed for that!!! She is awesome!!!!!!!!!!! I've gone to visible changes for over 15 years. I remember getting my hair styled for proms, my wedding, family pictures - you name it. I use to just take ?whoever? was available and I always liked my hair cuts and styles. All that changed about two years ago. After going through a VERY difficult time with our third child?s birth, I needed a break from hospital life and was sent to ?pamper? myself by my husband. I headed to Visible Changes in hopes of clean hair and a new style. That day Xzavier cut my hair.
