Food is great. Delivery took a while. Didn't have some of the items we ordered. Delicious option, just not if you're in a rush. more

Beware--this place is super obnoxious in person, but it's even worse for delivery! Swim Cafe is 0.4 miles from my house, and they charge $5 for delivery. Add $3 for a halfway decent tip and we're talking $8 total--that's $20 per mile to bring me breakfast. I ordered a bagel with lox, a side of bacon, and a coffee (neither a large nor complicated order). 80 minutes later (10 minutes after the late end of the promise range), all three arrived, cold. Not lukewarm, mind you, but cold. When the delivery guy showed up in the street and called my phone (even though my directions explicitly asked him to just come up the steps and ring the doorbell), and then, after I told him to come to the door, he came up the steps and *opened* the front door to my apartment without knocking. And of course, instead of an apology, I got a "You're all set." Am I? Don't order from here unless you want cold, overpriced food, delivered late and incompetently, at great expense. more

Swim's cupcakes never disappoint - they are always moist and flavorful with light and sweet frosting. I love how they are served on such adorable plates with fresh oranges, quite an indulgence. Two of my favorite cupcake flavors are True Blueberry and Mint Oreo. Swim's signature Oatmeal Chocolate Chip cookie is to die for as well - soft chewy texture and sweet without being too sweet. If you try these fresh out of the oven, you'll think you're in heaven. On the savory side, they have sandwiches and amazing scones as well. What really pushes Swim into 5-star territory, and I don't give out many 5-star reviews, is that everyone at Swim is so nice and welcoming, you really feel at home. Its a nice place with a very pretty interior and the sweet lady who owns it does all the baking herself so the food is delicious...but.....her staff is awfull. I went in there a while ago and ordered a lox deluxe [bagel and lox sandwich]. I got it to go - when i got home i noticed something funny about my sandwich....bagel, cream cheese, onion, no lox...no lox.....yuck...its an onion bagel sandwich with out the salmon. The other day my boyfriend and I went back - he ordered a stratta and asked the lady if it was vegeterien. She said the ones on the bottom were - so he ordered one. When we got home it had chicken or turkey or something inside. He called the place to ask the lady what he was eating and she sounded irritated that he wasn't more clear about wanting vegeterien food. Hello?! Its what he asked for. You cant get mad at someone for ordering vegeterien food and then getting meat. It was like she thought it was his fault. Pros: The food is good, but.. Cons: The service is awfull more

The Swim Cafe is a great cafe located close to I-90 on Chicago. They have great cappaccino's, unqiue and healthy food, friendly staff, original artwork, and a nice envirnment overall to grab a coffee and relax. more

I love to come here and relax while drinking a limade with mint in it...like a non-alcoholic mojito!! I'd prefer the alcohol but hey, a girls gotta work! I take my laptop, do some work or reading, and just relax. It's great. Food is good too. more

The food at this coffeeshop is very good, with interesting combinations of tastes. I do think that the decor is a little forced with a barrage of ocean themes surrounding you, and very uncomfortable trendy furniture (no overstuffed couches here). However, the food and friendly staff made us want to come back. I personally recommend the hot chocolate and my boyfriend loved the bagel and lox (very reasonably priced too).
