Sushi Central

I've seen this place on the Food Network and thought I would try it. It's in a strip mall, I saw Bobby Flay's picture in the window and knew this was the place. It looks like a fast food place, when we walked in the staff greeted us. We asked our server, a cute Japanese girl, what she recommended that we order. She gave us some suggestions and we ordered what we had seen on TV: spicy tuna roll and ono. We added a spicy shrimp roll, tuna sushi, yellowtail sushi, and miso soup. It seemed strange to order nigiri sushi in a fast food looking place, but everything that we had was very good. We did see Phillip from the Food TV show, he was pretty funny when he was talking to the people seated at the sushi bar. He asked us if everything was good and suggested that we try an order of live shrimp. We tried it and it was very good. He told us that next time we need to sit at the sushi bar and he will serve us. Sushi Chef Phil Yi prepares your favorites, or his (omakase) at this casual restaurant. It looks more like a Diedrich's on the outside than the fine establishment it is. The Ono, Monkfish Liver, and Spicy Tuna keep this place at the top of my list. Fast, friendly service by the Chef and his staff and hands down, the best sushi my palate has ever enjoyed.
