I bought the recent Groupon for the Brazilian Keratin Treatment and makeup application. I called to make my appointment and was able to choose the day and time that worked best for me, not the other way around. I also asked if it was possible to save the makeup application for a later date because I really had no need for it now and I was told that was not a problem (the Groupon actually said both services had to be completed on the same day).
This was my first time to visit Sensia and naturally, I was a little nervous about having someone new do my hair. I forgot the print-out of my Groupon but the receptionist was very nice and let me pull it up on my phone and show it to her. Francisco (my stylist) met me at the front counter while I was checking in so I didn't have to wait at all. He sat with me for a few minutes to make sure I understood the process, and even though I told him I had done it before, he was very thorough in explaining what he was going to do.
Francisco was super-friendly and did amazing work in a short amount of time. The first time I had the Keratin treatment on my hair, it took over 4 hours at a different salon. Francisco had me in and out in 2 hours, which was fantastic. He even fixed the uneven haircut I received at the other salon, free of charge. The salon is a bit on the pricey side for a haircut but I'm going to suck it up and pay it because Francisco made such an impression on me. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and professional.
My only gripe is that you can't tip on your credit card. I had no cash on me but luckily, I had my checkbook. It would have been nice if I had been informed of that policy when I booked my appointment. Other than that, I was very impressed.
