Horrible vision clinic 8/4/2011

I could not beleive how horrible this eye center was. If you have insurance from another state, what a horrible hard time they give you and won't even try to contact your insurance, they refuse to. The women at the front desk are awful, they will not wait on you, They play all kinds of games, they won't help you and just keep telling you so and so will, when so and so gets there she refers you to another so and so. They are rude, do not help you at all, keep pushing you off to someone else. more

Awful, awful, awful! 6/1/2011

I went to Seattle Vision Clinic on the recommendation of a friend that told me the doctors were great. My friend was correct, Dr. Kikuchi was great (friendly and very professional), but the optical side of their business was absolutely appalling. I had brought in a vintage frame to have my new prescription put in. As she was preparing the order, the woman told me that there was some risk involved with using a vintage frame. Having at least 15 vintage frames done over the last 25 years at various opticians without any incident, I took my chances. I got a call 10 days later telling me that the lab had broken my frame. They were apologetic, but did not offer any compensation for my broken frame. (Later they told me that was their policy, but they never informed me of that fact in advance. They only warned me about breakage.) Nevertheless, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and brought in a new frame to have my lenses put in. 2 weeks later when I got the new glasses home, I noticed that the $150 anti-reflective coating was not applied, so I had to go back again. 2 weeks later, when I got the glasses back, they seemed fine in the store, but again, when I got home, I noticed that my left eye vision was blurry. (When I rotated the frame slightly, it was fine.) I went back to Seattle Vision Clinic and the manager, Eva, adjusted the frame. Again, they seemed fine in the store, but later I noticed the same problem, leading me to believe that the lens was ground incorrectly. I went back a fourth time and after defensive and rude treatment by the staff, I became fed up and politely ask them to take the lenses out of my frame and refund my money. The woman said, ?We can?t do that?, but I persisted. After talking to manager Eva, she came back and said they would refund $400, but they could not refund the $150 that my insurance company had already paid them because, ?They already made the lenses.? At that point I just wanted to be done with Seattle Vision Clinic, so I agreed. (I figured losing $150 was worth it.) In closing, I?d like to say that I am definitely not a complaining, hard to please customer! (In fact, this is the first online complaint I have ever written.) I?ve just had enough! Whatever you do, don?t have your glasses made at Seattle Vision Clinic!! more

Worst vision clinic ever 1/17/2011

This is the worst place ever! Their receptionists have the worst customer service in the world. Especially a lady named Pauline, NOT willing to help and gave attitudue to those non-native speakers. Also, most of the staffs there are very rude and impolite. My family and I would never go back there again. I rather pick else where with bad exam but with good customer serivce. If i could give them negative stars, believe me I would. Unprofessional and disrespectful. Period. more

Sorry, but i feel this is important enough to write about. This concerns the SEATTLE VISION CLINIC on Jackson Street . I have been a customer since 1968, and now have my own children, which i still bring there....But.....now...Seattle Vision Clinic office staff has been over the last several years, quite rude about simply making appointments with our DSHS insurance coupon. It stems from louldly talking in their quiet office about our insurance information. Little things like have we brought our coupon from the ""State""? Even last year comments like your State coupon is very limited, and does not pay them much. I guess it always feels we are treated different because we are using DSHS low income insurance coupon.. I noticed it is always a little uncomfortable to have our names and insurance information louldly talked, exposing our DSHS status, while other staff look at us like we should have to pay more, only we are the very poor people, and are, or, of a different nature to the staff. The eye doctors are good, but there clinic staff seem to always have problems on professional maners with other DSHS coupon holders as well., because they have so many more customers, since they also accept DSHS coupons, even in 1968. Every time we check in, everyone listens and can here we are DSHS coupon holders, because the staff needs to say insurance information so louldly, but funny thing is, it is always quiet inside That in mind, after this last event which happened at the Seattle Vision Clinic on Jackson street. I am giving a very low rating because of my last encounter with the staff there, here is what hapened this year: Pros: very quiet Cons: staff treats people with DSHS insurance different more

The Best Vision Clinic in Seattle! 10/23/2008

Dr. Gregory Chin is the best, plain and simple. He was the first opthamologist I saw in Seattle and he will definitely be the only opthamologist I see again. So very helpful and extremely knowledgable. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my vision. Pros: Helpful, knowledgeable, friendly, great location, great staff Cons: None whatsoever more

Dr. Greg Chin is the best 6/13/2007

My husband found Seattle Vision Clinic via a recommendation from a friend... he went and was very impressed at the level of service, personal attention, and commitment to the patient's health. Dr. Chin did all the follow up to his Lasik surgery, and everything went fantastically well. I decided to go to Dr. Chin, and he explained my test results better than any doctor I've ever had. He listens, spends time to make sure you have the right lenses, has state of the art equipment, and is committed to excellence. Pros: free parking, full service clinic, excellent frame choice, great staff more
