Britt is AMAZING! 11/13/2006

Love my hair! Britt took what I wanted, mixed with what she thought would be great for me and made my hair look better than ever! Suggested great products for me to use in my hair so that it can looks it's best even when I don't have a whole lot of time to do it. Color looks wonderful! Have never gotten as many compliments on my hair as I do now since Britt did it! I would Highly Recommend her to anyone! more

The Best Salon in Raleigh 11/13/2006

I have been to many top salons over the course of the last few years. When I found Carly I was amazed. She listed to what I needed and then gave me great advice and a great, easy to maintain cut & highlights. I would recommend Carly or Samuel Cole to anyone looking for a great hair experience. Pros: terrific ambience and service! Cons: so far I haven't found any more

My daughter and I went to see, Andrea Love, at Samuel Cole Salon. Andrea is the only one that has colored my hair that lasts for approx 4 months,and it looks great the whole time! Andea really listens to her customers and their needs.. Andrea you always make your customers feel that they are important to you and their business is apprecited.Andrea, my daughter, looks foward to getting her hair cut because you always make her feel like a princess, and after you are through with her hair she looks like one ,too!! The best hair experience I've ever had! 11/12/2006

I have super-baby-fine-short-blonde hair that likes to lay flat on my head at all times. Because of this, I have left so many salons in tears after asking for a body-defining cut... the tears are NOT an exaggeration. After so much struggle to find a competent stylist that actually KNOWS how to deal with fine hair, I saw all the wonderful reviews about Samuel Cole salon. I thought, what the heck, I'll give them a try. Just calling them on the phone for an appointment made me feel confident that my visit was going to be all about ME. Well, I was right. I had an appointment with the lovely Gay and hopefully she'll be sticking around for awhile (please don't ever leave NC!!). She assured me that my hair texture wasn't anything to complain about, and that she was going to give me a shape I would love. Though I didn't have an appointment for it, she recommended that I get some different shades of color to my hair for added dimension (which I've never had done before). She squeezed the cut and color into her schedule and showed me how to EASILY maintain the style with just a couple products. Sure enough, a month after the cut and my hair looks as good as it did the day I had it done. Not only did she take the time for consultation, but gave me advice about my hair, and also took time to teach me about various products for my hair. I left the salon looking magnificent, with an air of confidence and beauty that I have never before experienced. I left Samuel Cole in tears...of joy. Thanks, Gay. Pros: Everything Cons: A little pricey for a poor college student :-) But worth every penny nontheless more

Great salon and great stylists. An A plus all the way. Can't wait to see the new salon post renovations. If you are looking for a can't miss hair cut then Britt is the girl to go and see. She took her time and gave me exactly what I was hoping for. I am picky about my hair cuts and she has been giving me nothing but the finest results for over a year now. Thanks Britt!! more

In love with Britt Crane! 11/7/2006

Thank you Britt!! I am in love with my new hair! My last stylist turned my platinum blonde hair into an ugly brown with gray highlights. Britt corrected my color and gave me a great cut. I tried 3 times to have it corrected before going to Britt. She was able to fix it in one appointment and I am happier now than I have ever been!! Pros: Knowledgeable Stylist and Great Service!!! more

well, i have always struggled to find a hairstyle that suites my personality and lifestyle.. and not to mention never could bond well with a stylist. i immediately knew when i met britt that she was going to be great for me. she has a great ear for listening and is also very knowledgable in her field. not only did she recommend perfect products for my new wonderful hair.. she gave me a great time away from my children and a beautiful fresh look! LOVE IT and will be seeing samuel cole again! Pros: great staff! more

I thought I was never going to be able to find a hairdresser in Raleigh. I had tried the trendy, the crazy expensive, and the cheap mall places and didn't think that one was any better than the other. So it was with some trepidation that I took the advice of a hairdressing friend who told me to find a Bumble and Bumble salon, call to see who the busiest stlyist is, and then wait for the appointment. And I'm glad I did. Jack took time to really look at my hair and decide what we should do with it now, and where we are going to go with it in the future. I got a great haircut, and the root color is a perfect match. If you are like me and hunting for someplace to call your salon, give Samuel Cole a try. Pros: Great customer service, doesn't rush more

My experience at Samuel Cole Salon continues to be unparalleled. I have been going to Samuel Cole Salon since they opened over 9 years ago. I have naturally curly hair and have suffered through many terrible cuts and colors before finding this salon. My cut is always fresh and functional (those of you who have curly hair can relate) and my color is always rich and natural. All of the staff has always been friendly and professional. I am very excited to experience their newly rennovated and expanded salon when it opens. Kudos for your continued excellence throughout the years. The Best Hair Ever!!! 10/25/2006

I recently went to Samuel Cole Salon because I was looking for a top salon in North Raleigh. I read pages and pages of incredible reviews and thought I would give it a try. I am so glad I did because I got the best cut and color of my life. I loved that my stylist Lauren took the time to find out exactly what I wanted. Her great recommendations took me from boring and blah to fabulous and hip. I have never had so many compliments on my hair. I am thrilled that I found the salon of my dreams. Everyone was friendly, fun and the shampoo was awesome. If you want a different and professional salon experience go to Samuel Cole Salon and enjoy the pampering. Beware! 10/23/2006

The cut was okay, but the highlites were terrible. The owner did my hair. I specifically said I did not want it ""stripey"". So I ended up with three big stripes on each side. After two more attempts to fix it, I had a lot of orange and wore a hat. Said he would call in a couple of days to check on it; never did. No response to email. All that agravation for almost $300 with tip. Go at your own risk! Pros: ??? Cons: Too expensive and little value more

why didn't i know about this place before now? not only was everyone so friendly and professional but i was lucky enough to have britt do my hair. she gave me an unbelievable cut the color is just goregous. i have a lot of hair so it's hard for me to find a great stlylist. i couldn't be more pleased. my only regret will be that i won't have britt around every morning to do my hair. i can highly recommend this salon. more

great place 9/17/2006

As a guy, it's sometimes hard to find a salon that I am comfortable with. For my first visit, I was sent to Erica, and I couldn't have been more satisfied. A quick consultation was all it took for her to understand what I was looking for. The big plus for me was that she does razor cuts, which I like, and does them very well. On a personal level, she's really nice and makes good conversation. I've never made use of them, but complimentary touch-ups have always been offered. Samuel Cole is a wonderful salon. They do incredible work and they are so friendly. Very rarely do you come to a place where the owner greets you as kindly as Jack does. Lauren is my stylist and I can't say enough good things about her. As someone with extremely dark brown hair other stylists have colored it to a point where it is very brassy. Lauren explained she could get rid of it, but it would take a few sessions to achieve the results I want. I appreciate her honesty and after one color and one touch up its barely visible. She is very friendly and knowledgable. I highly recommend Lauren and Samuel Cole-you won't be disappointed. Pros: color, cut, atmosphere more

Congratulations to Gay Coast-Frampton and this particular salon for catching her. I have been a client of Gay's for years and always have a great experience after leaving her salon, VitaStile Hair Salon. Great experience! 8/1/2006

After searching on Citysearch for salons, I felt there was no way I would be disappointed with Samuel Cole Salon. And I was right! The salon is not pretentious at all (some can be and make me feel like I'm an intruder), but I was greeted courteously and offered something to drink as soon as I came in. The salon is undergoing construction now but it didn't seem to interfere with business. Cons: Under construction but didn't pose a problem for clients more

Relocating isn't easy 7/31/2006

I recently relocated to the Raleigh area and needed among other things a new stylist. It's not an easy task for a girl, I put off getting my hair cut and colored for longer than I could tolerate. I searched the internet and read many reviews on this salon before making the call for an appt. All the reviews were raving and they used Bumble products. I was able to get an appointment right away with Sara B. She took the time to listen to me about my likes and dislikes regarding my hair and made me feel at home in a new city. My cut and color was exactly what I had asked for. I would definitely recommend this salon, particularly Sara B. She was great. more

Never had a better experience anywhere! 7/18/2006

I have been telling everyone about my first experience at the Samuel Cole salon and how I will not be looking any further to get my hair needs met. I recently had my hair foiled and cut by Sara Beard and cannot say enough wonderful things about her and the salon in general. Sara's bubbly personality and genuine interest in what I was looking for was refreshing after some bad experiences at other top Triangle salons. The pride she took in her work, her knowledge and desire to give me the best experience and look as a fellow curly-haired girl, and her obvious enthusiasm were contagious. The owner came and said hello to me and was equally wonderful. As someone whose had her hair done numerous times at the Bumble + bumble salon in NYC, I admittedly have pretty high standards and can honestly say they were met at Samuel Cole. If you have naturally curly hair and are looking for someone to do a top-notch job while enjoying the experience to the fullest, head to Samuel Cole and Sara ASAP. Pros: Sara Beard, great ambiance, peanut M & Ms in the waiting area Cons: None! more
