Rooms to Go is a NIGHTMARE 10/29/2009

STAY AWAY- Sale people are great but wait until you need customer service and your furniture delivered as promised. OMG, if you dont have high blood pressure, you will after dealing with Rooms to Go! Delivery promises broken, furniture delivery stratched dented, and pieces missings. Its hard getting someone on the phone to be of any assistance. I took off a total of 6 working days for repeated mess ups. yes 6 work days. DO NOT shop Rooms to go or just know you were warned! more

Rooms to Go is horrible 10/19/2009

This place is horrible. They did not deliver the parts for my bed to put together. It took over a week for them to get the parts here, and get a tech out to fix the bed. They do not care that I am upset and will refund nothing. - Do not shop there more

Bad customer service 10/6/2009

I purchased my furniture there and have had the most horrible customer service ever. Do NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THERE! U buy warranty and practically everything u try to fix is excluded. more

DON'T DO IT !!!!! 7/4/2009

WOW!! I feel like a fool. We just purchased a couch and a recliner. There is cheap stuffing hanging out and poorly sewn stitch lines. The salesperson was very deceptive regarding what the warranty covers, which is on the verge of nothing. Please, please, please shop elsewhere. more

Please Look Elsewhere 3/10/2009

I understand that a lot of furniture companies are having problems and questions on their furniture. \r \r First off, rooms to go furniture is made in china. Ask any employee, ask any manager. It is shipped from china to the USA. Secondly, if you see a scratch in your furniture, please call them. I had to have a service technician come out to my house three times, and have to had replacements on my furniture now going on twice. \r \r Please look elsewhere if you are going to purchase furniture, please please look elsewhere. It is not worth your time going home from work to inspect a delivery thats going to be messed up anyway. Look elsewhere, even if you have to spend a little more money, please please look elsewhere. more

Terrible customer service 11/11/2008

I just recently purchased a love seat that the handles came off exposing steel wire!! Incedently it's 3 months outside the 1 yr. warranty ( although I was told I had a 3 year extended warranty) it ws never explained to me as "fabric protection only" I called customer service and they told me "too bad , we already have our money ..call a reputible furniture company to fix it" ...REALLY, what a horrible way to handle your customers. I will NEVER purchase from them again.. I was even willing to pay to have one of their service techs come out to repair it and was told that those calls are only for "warranty customers" and they can't help me. more

Happy repeat customer. 11/10/2008

Two years ago I purchased a leather sofa. love seat, and recliner set from the rooms to go showroom in Arlington. I did not bother with the protection plan (anyone with half a brain and internet access will know most department/retail store protection plans are crap) and the sales person did not pressure me into buying it although he did offer it. The furniture still looks brand new to this day! Everyone compliments how nice the apartment looks, and love how comfortable the couch is. Rooms to go gave me a life time supply of the lotion to keep the leather looking nice and clean and it works *but you have to use it regularly* and I use mine once a month. Takes effort to keep furniture looking clean and new, not a warranty. So far my rooms to go furniture has survived a young Boston Terrier and Hedgehogs!\r \r And just a month ago I bought a new bedroom set from the show room in Plano. All the staff were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They also offered the protection plan (no pressu more

sales person 10/16/2008

I went in to buy a sectional from room's to go. the sales person told me since they were financing i had to purchase the protection plan. I asked several times did it cover everything including the structure. He then told me i had to also put money down or I could not buy it. Well, a friend had bought the furniture from them before and she told me to call customer service because the protection plan was crap. I called and that is exactly what i found out. I was also told the saleperson lied to me telling me i had to purchase the protection plan since i was financing the furniture w/them. I called the manager and again found out I did not have to put down so much money. I asked to be compensated for so much trouble and they refused. I demanded a full refund and vowed to never purchase anything from them again. more

Poor customer service 7/12/2008

I will never buy from them again. EVER. I was making my second purchase and the transaction went smoothly, they took my money, they delivered on time and were in and out quickly. Then about 5 days later, I get a phone call stating that I need to come back in because they didn't have me fill out a credit form that they needed me to. I called back and got a gentleman on the phone in the office and told him that I could not make it in until the weekend. I also told him something that was missing from my order and as I was mentioning it, he was mumbling something and I stopped and asked if he had something he wanted to say and he said no. Then when I started talking again, he did it again and I said "can you please not talk while I'm talking" and he hung up on me. I was a little shocked but decided not to mess with it and just go in on Saturday. So on Friday night, I get a phone call from this guy and it is threatening everything from repo'ing my furniture to ruining my cre more

Cindy Crawford be ashamed 3/3/2008

If I was Cindy I would take my name away from these folks. Bad service. I had three deliveries. First one WRONG second one WRONG. Finally I waited on a Saturday with the window from 8:00AM to 10.PM. The stuffing is coming out of the pillows on my sofa. $1900. Money badly spent. more

Joe M 1/31/2008

The people here who give the company 5 stars complimenting the sale person's eagerness to help are simply kidding themselves.... these people work on commission, try talking to them after you've bought their stuff and padded their wallets. This company sucks, the quality of their furniture is absolutely terrible. I bought the Cindy Crawford bedroom suite from them for about 2k .... The quality is so bad. The wood veneer has already started to peel and the bed was so hard to even put together. I then called the customer service line 4 times ( they hung up on me 3 times) and they finally told me that I could not return my bed and get my cash back, and only pick out another piece of junk from that store..Its too bad I learnt the costly way, but if I can stop somebody else from making the same mistake it might be worth it. more

disposable furniture 10/29/2007

My husband and I purchased a Cindy Crawford bedroom suite and a pub style dining table from Rooms To Go about 6 months ago. We have already had to have 2 of the bar stools repaired because the rungs cracked or completely broke off and then just the other day I noticed that the wood veneer, yes I paid 2000.00 for veneer, on the bed side rails is starting to peel off. When I paid that much for the bedroom suit, I just assumed that I was getting wood. Silly me. I will not EVER buy another piece of furniture for ROOMS TO GO. Don't be fished in buy their good deals, Buyer Beware! more

worth checking out 9/6/2007

I bought my first new furniture at Rooms to Go recently. Until now hand-me downs and craigslist was the decor theme I had going in my home. Inspite of hearing a lot of negative comments about quality and customer service, I still wanted to check out the store.\r At Rooms to Go I was helped immediately and there was someone available to answer every question I had about making a purchase. I later learned that the sales staff works on commission, which explains their eagerness to "help" me purchase something. \r I bought a leather sectional that came in a package with tables and lamps. It was cheaper than buying piece by piece. I was told to buy a leather protection package that I later asked to get in writing. It only covers food and beverage spills for 3 years, but it gives you cleaner and conditioner for life. This part was somewhat confusing and a demonstration cleared up some questions. (Also getting the certificate in writing). The plan was also inexpensive $70 for the sectional. more

bad, bad, just plain insulting 9/5/2007

My mother and sister purchase items from Rooms to Go from two different stores in two different states. Dinning room chairs are less then 3months old and began to come a loose at the seams. No wood screws or screws of an kind, just glue. The dens set was in on color in the store and another was delivered. Half of the Wood on the soft was finished. They sent three sofa set before we were told it didn't come in green. They offered us a $75.00 in store purchase which took 2 hours because someone had used the voucher. They didn't know who or when or how. After picking out an over priced silk plant they said we had to pay the taxes. This took another 30 minutes to figure out. Again, the voucher disappeared and we were back to square. I took my check for the taxes back and walked out. Outside the store I was amazed by the number of customers complaining about the trash they are selling and the NASTY WAY YOU ARE TREATED BY THE CORPORATE OFFICE. P.S. The chair in the den is coming a loose at t more

Rooms to Go, more like throw away rooms 5/24/2007

I bought a sofa set at Rooms to go and the seat cushions are JUNK. From what I understand they have changed the company that makes their furniture. The company makes it for a cheaper price so they get a bigger profit and the quality has gone WAY down. The repairs guys that have come to my house about the problem have said that it is becoming more common that the cushions are not lasting with normal use. Imagine my surpise when the cushions look old and flat after ONE MONTH of use. Niether my husband nor I are over 190 lbs. And we don't have older kids, only a six month old! So it is not like we have over used or abused the sofas. The customer service deparment is beyond bad. You get different anwsers from different people. And the supervisers are WORST, very bad attitudes. I will say they were nice enough to send new cushions for my sofa and loveseat, even though they are the SAME type of cushions and only look nice for a month. I have picture to prove it. But they call it wear and the more

Great Deals, A few quirks 8/30/2005

Before getting married recently, I needed to get a new larger bed. Me and my soon-to-be wife went around to several furniture stores looking for a good deal and something that fit our style. After going to some fancy places (with fancy prices), we finally found a bed we liked at Rooms To Go. And the price was great! They offer discounts for buying more than just the bed, so we got a Bureau and Mirror for $100 less than buying all the pieces seperately. We needed a mattress too, and we ended up getting one from Rooms To Go since they had better prices than even the big mattress "discount" stores. The only problems I have with Rooms To Go are pretty minor. All the salesmen work on commission, so if you like looking around by yourself, be prepared to turn down salespeople for help every few minutes. If you need help, don't worry, you'll get it real quick. If you find one you like, get a card and tell the rest of the salespeople that you're with him. Then ask for him when you're r more
