I have nothing but nice things to say about All Friends Animal Hospital. They have always shown great compassion to my animals and my family. They always do their best to get me in for an appointment as soon as possible and make sure I have everything I need for any rebates offered on medications. \r I recently had an emergency with my cat. She had a stroke and massive heart attack. Everyone was so nice to me. Leigh at the desk took such good care of me. Dr. Lorraine Smith-Gervais came in and talked to me. She explained everything that she had concluded from her exam of the cat so that I understood exactly what had happened. \r I have been to other veterinarians in the past and I find All Friends prices to be comparable. more

Prices so high. I needed to have my cat who is old, weak and is dying euthanized so she would not suffer anymore. They wanted to charge $100.00 to do that, and another $40.00 to give her a physical first. They are greedy, and I will never use their services again. And to top it all off the cat that is ill I adopted from All Friends 10 years ago because she was abandoned there and they were going to put her to sleep, and I have had her ever since. All they want is money - they don't care about animals. more

Poor customer service, high prices 2/7/2011

I finally had it with All Friends Animal Hospital. I had to call four times today--after being told in a recorded message they ""check our messages every hour"" and would return the call, then being told by a real person she would call me back and never did (three times). All I needed was to refill the Methimazole prescription for hyperthyroidism (common cat problem) my cat has been taking for six years. Each time the prescription needs to be refilled, All Friends insists the cat needs another $55.95 thyroid test. At 5:35 p.m. I finally got an answer (when I called again, after being told they'd call me but didn't): they would sell me a 7-day supply, but I would have to come back for a $55.95 thyroid test, a $40.00 ""office visit,"" the three-year distemper shot ($19.50). And they would sell me a 100-tab bottle of Methimazole for $40.50--though I told them I have been buying the exact same bottle for $23, shipping included. For the 7-day supply of 14 tablets, All Friends charged me $18.26, that's $1.30 per pill--compared to the 23 cents per tab I pay online (including shipping). As if all this wasn't exasperating enough, All Friends' l-o-n-g voice options menu tells the caller they are open Monday evenings until 8. Imagine my surprise when today, Monday, at 5:35 pm, I was told they close at 6 pm. ""I will drop everything and race right over,"" I said. This was after having to call them four times, and before I paid the $1.30 per pill--for the last time. Fortunately there are other vets and animal clinics in the area. more

Thankful 2/24/2009

I have had my pets at All Friends for at least 8 years. I have had great experiences each visit, esp when I was upset about a situation. I had a 2 year old cat whom a ""neighbor"" had shot with a BB gun! The indoor cat would sun bath on the roof- I thought she was safe. Regardless- when I took my cat, paralysed from the mid section down, the doctor pet her and held her with care. Of course she could not feel it but the thought through what he'd done. He held her like a baby (and to me she was). The doctor was honesty and genuine. He'd explained the steps he'd taken for her in his care. Unfortunately in the end I made the tough decision to put her down. The doctor gave me time alone with my cat and definatly seemed to understand how hard the decision was. I thank them for making a bad situation acceptable through their honesty and genuine care. more

Treated like family 11/15/2007

15 years ago I was fortunate to have found my new best friend - a Chocalate Lab who I named Tyler. This week we had to make the difficult decision to put him down. I had never done this before but, with the guidance of a most professional and caring staff, I was put at ease telling me that this was the correct decision to make. The next day, two nurses from the office came to my home and helped Tyler pass with dignity. It helps me knowing that he died with people all around him that truly loved him and animals. Our family has been with All friends for about 6 years now. The facility has always been clean, the doctors and staff friendly. I would recommend this facility to anyone. You will not find another place better than All Friends. more

All Friends---How about No Friends 8/3/2007

I worked for this place for one year and everything was great until we had a staff meeting where the manager, Lona Baker, told us it was for us to all yell and scream to get everything out in the open. Everyone yelled and screamed and some people were getting real personal with it, while Lona did nothing. They fired me because I ""created a hostile work environment"", when I never had one complaint against me from any client or worker and I had gotten my yearly review with a 5% raise and nothing bad to say about me from anyone in the hospital one week to the day before I was fired. Chris Melgey has no guts either, he came into the room to fire me after Lona went and said ""I want you to go fire this person."" And he did not even listen to my side, he just fired me and that was that. If you have an animal, DO NOT take them to All Friends Animal Hospital. This place is not thorough and only cares about one thing----MAKING MONEY ANY WAY THEY CAN. Most of the workers will talk about all of the clients behind their backs and even on the employees, this place really is a nightmare. DO NOT GO THERE! more

They could have killed him 4/25/2006

My lab went here to me snipped. They told me to feed him a big meal before i brought him in and they were going to snip him that night. He was then to stay over. Three hours after they called me and told me he was all done and I needed to pick him up because he was too hyper. When I questioned it they just said "oh well he's alive". I can't believe that a vet couldn't deal with my dog. more

Good service but be careful!! 10/16/2005

All Friends Animal hospital is a decent place. They did a a great job neutering and declawing my cat. The staff was nice, but lacked communication among themselves. Also, they told me that they were going to check my cat for fleas since he was staying overnight at the kennel after his surgeries. If he had them they were going to treat them. I said no problem because I knew he didn't have them since he was an indoor cat and I checked him on a regular basis. Well when I picked him up they charged me $13.50 for a treatment of Frontline and told me he was infested with them. Lo and behold my cat was now infested with fleas after staying overnight with them So Becareful!!! more
