Best

A bit overpriced but worth it. You can also find them in the grocery aisle.

Many people seem to love Mighty-O donuts. I don't get it. They have a dense, greasy, grocery store muffin-like texture and indistinct flavor. They cost quite a bit more than av...

Vegan donuts are hard to find... 1/19/2012

okay, so vegan donuts are hard to find. i understand. it must really be hard to make something taste remotely edible without ANY animal products. none. nada. nothing. but, i'd hardly say they're delicious. They're edible. Better than edible for a vegan. but for a non-vegan...I give Might O Donuts an A for effort and an A++ for supplying a place for me to buy all of my vegan friends birthday desserts. personally, sorta good, overall, a ""yep it's good, 3 star"". more

More donuts please. 4/8/2010

Vegan donuts are nearly impossible to find and usually even harder to digest, but not these, these are delicious. I love being able to eat sprinkled donuts like a kid again. My favorite are the creme filled ones but they always seem to be out. Great to pick up and bring to a party if you are too lazy to make something. They are currently sold at some local stores, but going to get them at the actual store makes them taste best. I hear they do tours for children and would love to get in on one of those. If only they would open another location somewhere. They also have coffee, its a good place to stop early in the morning if you feel like sitting around for awhile. Location can be difficult to find though so make sure you mapquest. Pros: vegan donuts, variety Cons: good donuts run out, only one location more

def. worth trying! 3/10/2010

we got there ~1 and their selection was def. dwindling down. they were making tons of fresh donuts in the back though. I wish they would have offered us some. We were the only people there. I had their french toast donut and it was amazing! really moist cake donut, but the edges had a bit of a crunch. their glaze was really good too. Pros: great french toast donut Cons: hard to find parking more

I'm having an affair with a donut. 2/20/2010

I'm an avid tweeter and love finding new restaurants, bakeries and mom-n-pop shops to visit and support. Lately I've noticed one of my twitter friends speak of Might O Donuts, so naturally I was intrigued - always looking for exciting, new places to try, and who doesn't love a good donut? Well, today was the day. Not only is it a bright, sunny day in February, but it's also the day that will go down in my life's history as eating the best donut ever. I knew I was going to be in for a treat, and my husband knew he was going to have to hold me back after seeing my eyes light up after walking through the opened garage door entrance into the magical world of organic, fresh donuts, which they bake daily in the back kitchen. And yes, I almost snuck back to grab ""free samples"". The first donut to catch my eye was the bright pink raspberry. Second, the coconut laden Don King, which I picked up for later, along with a Mint Grasshopper. Yeah I giggled a little bit at having to say ""I'll have the Don King"" but I got passed the name. Biting into the chocolate raspberry was sinfully delicious. I can tell they use fresh berries in the glaze frosting, and the chocolate cake has just the right density, not too thick and perfectly fluffy. It actually reminded me of baking chocolate cakes from scratch as a little girl, having that very distinct, natural taste. My Husband tried the Devil's Playground and I gotta say, I wouldn't mind playing with the Devil every once in a while. I also noticed they have WIFI (not sure if it's free, but assume so) and very tasty, fair trade coffee. I can't wait to go back, maybe do a little creative work while hanging with my new donut friends, Raspberry and Don. Pros: vegan, organic, fresh ingredients more

One of the reasons I love Seattle! 10/14/2009

I am not really a cake doughnut fanatic, the fluffy glazed are normally my favorite but Mighty O doughnuts make the best doughnuts I have ever had-even if they are all cake. They are also vegan but you would not know it from their taste, they?re just a delicious doughnut that happens to also be vegan & organic. Mighty O has great traditional flavors like the standard glazed and also unique and delicious like chocolate peanut butter, so there is something for every appetite. You really can?t go wrong with whatever you try and their drinks pair perfectly (I am a fan of the soy hot chocolate with a chocolate peanut butter doughnut). I also wait every year for the pumpkin doughnut with pumpkin glaze that they have every October, they are amazing! Pros: Organic, delicious, unique flavors Cons: Can be hard to find bakery or parking, only cake doughnuts more

Eenie Meeny Mighty-O! 9/23/2009

I am addicted to Mighty-O Donuts! They make new donuts for every season, and a different selection every day. If you get there in the morning you have a ton of delicious options; if you go between 4:00 and 5:00 it's DONUT HAPPY HOUR at half off! What's not to love? more

Best Cup of Coffee in North Seattle, and Thoroughgoing Donuts. 3/26/2008

Not only a chill spot with great donuts (yes they are incredible by any standards vegan or non...) but I would posit that Mighty-O makes the best americano in North Seattle. Stumptown, impeccably brewed. It has become increasingly difficult to find palatable espresso even in our coffee-arrogant city. Even famed Zoka's, across the street, delivers a mediocre pull. more

awesome donuts 3/22/2008

mighty-o is a family favorite! my dairy-allergic kid loves the glazed and the sprinkled donuts. it's fun to watch through the window as the donuts are being made in the back of the shop. the people who work at mighty-o are friendly and nice, a relief from seattle's typical sullen-style service. i've taken a box of a dozen donuts to parties and they are always popular. the 4:00pm time is 'happy hour' and donuts are half-price. coffee is good, too. Pros: great donuts more

Yummy! But eat at your own risk... 10/25/2007

These doughnuts were the richest, most decadent I've ever tasted. The staff were wonderful, the place is inviting and charming, coffee is divine - if you don't have a car, getting there is extremely difficult (but hey, you'll walk off the calories ;) Beware, though, my friend and I felt very ill for about 3 hours afterwards - maybe it's the palm oil. Half a doughnut is probably good for one sitting. more

yummy! 3/21/2007

I dragged two friends to Mighty-Os while vacationing in Seattle. I was told to pick donuts that ""tasted like real food"" since the donuts are vegan (friends have had bad experiences with vegan food). These were the best donuts I've ever had. Chocolate Mint, regular glazes, Lots O Chocolate and just the Chocolate Topped ones were our favorites. They had some different flavors (peanut butter and jelly, cinnamon toast) that were good. We ran out of time to make a second run there, otherwise I would have brought some home. I will definitely be back whe I'm back in WA. Pros: Yummy, vegan Cons: Parking more

Vegan donuts? Not for me 12/15/2006

Eh, I'm not the biggest fan. Just because they're vegan doesn't make them tasty--I feel like they have to find workarounds for the elements that usually make donuts good and the flavor and texture definitely suffer. The chocolate is particularly atrocious--if I'm going to let myself eat a chocolate donut, I want it to be chocolate overload, not a strange, unsatisfying flavor vaguely reminiscent of sawdust. If you do get one, the cinnamon's the best of all. Pros: Friendly, serve yerba mate Cons: Don't like the donuts more

Better than Zoka Accross the Street 8/17/2006

If you want a cool coffee shop atmosphere with great people, I recommend Mighty-O. The servers seem to work hard and care about the customer. I must say, I don't get that feeling often at coffee shops in Seattle. It's not just a donut shop! Go in this place to chill and grab coffee/espresso and a treat too. more

Best donuts ever. 2/15/2006

My boyfriend and I made the mistake of getting here too late in the afternoon and there weren't many choices left. Still, the donuts we had were really good, and they didn't make me as sick as ordinary donuts do. I would definitely go to Mighty O again. Pros: Yummy donuts Cons: Closes early more

Vegan? Didn't even know.....just good donuts! 7/31/2005

I just moved right next to this place and it has the best donuts ever....not a huge variety, but that doesn't matter when what they have is that good. Very creative with some of their varities. The Don King was my favorite... I had no idea it was a vegan place. Maybe I'll become Vegan and eat nothing but these donuts. more

Awsome Donuts! 4/6/2005

The best vegan donuts ever! I even have friends who refuse to eat anything vegan who I tricked into eating a Mighty-O and they loved it. Everyone shoud try it. They have tons of different kinds of donuts and all of them are good. more

Yummy donuts 2/10/2005

A variety of flavors, and less sweet than typical donuts (e.g. Krispy Kreme). I was surprised to find out that they are actually vegan. Even if you are not vegan (I'm not either), you would enjoy these yummy donuts. I usually grab a few different flavors of their mini donuts. more
