I've been to Marbella to have my hair done twice and have been very, very satisfied both times. Eduardo and Rosie's folks are super - from the front desk to the stylists. Pros: All good - particularly the friendly service. more

these people were very rude. i have a smart circle card and they refuse to honor it. i have never had any problems with the smart circle corp. before and if i were to find a good spa i would stay there. i will never go here absolutely horrible. more

I have been using Edwardo & Loni for about 4years now. I go in about twice a year and every time they remember me. I don't mean my name I mean things like my mom, my dogs etc... Real personal service. That is just the icing on the cake cause they are true professionals. I have never walked out of there without being 100% satisfied with my hair. And I have made some dramatic changes to my hair. Very friendly and they make you feel at home. The salon is very clean, which to me is very important. Rosie is a GENIUS with haircolor! I swear I am the pickiest person in the world and she outdoes herself everytime I see her! Each time I visit her I tell her I want to tweak my color a bit in a subtle way and she always exceeds my expectations! When I moved away for college, I had to come home every couple months to have her do my hair because I wouldn't trust my hair color with anyone else. I went to Marbella Salon about 2 weeks ago after reading the Wonderful reviews about the Salon & Eduardo on city search. I made an appointment with Eduardo and he did a Fantastic job cutting my hair & also made ALL the arrangements to send my Hair to ?Locks Of Love?! I had been growing my hair for about 10yrs & this October I turned 30 & I decided I wanted a Fresh New Look & I wanted to Donate my Long Thick Hair... it was nice to know that there are businesses out there Supporting their Communities & different Organizations!!! Let me tell you I LOVED what he did in fact I told him YOU decide what would go Best for ME...I was not disappointed with what he Suggested & Did!!! I have received so many compliments on my haircut/style! =o) The staff is extremely professional and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Unlike many other high-end salons, Marbella makes their customers feel like family. Their prices are very reasonable and you still get a Great Haircut & Style. Eduardo takes his time Cutting and Styling your hair and answers ANY questions that you may have about managing your hair. He really LOVES what he does and it SHOWS with the care that he puts into each haircut and how he treats his customers. He truly is an ARTIST!!! I went to Marbella salon about 2 months ago after reading the wonderful reviews on city search. I was not disappointed. I made an appointment with Eduardo and he did a fantastic job cutting my hair. I have received so many compliments on my haircut/style and to top it off my hair is so easy to manage even with Houston's humid weather. The staff is extremely professional and the atmosphere is very welcoming. Unlike many other high-end salons, Marbella makes their customers feel like family. Their prices are very reasonable and you still get a great haircut. Pros: everything Cons: nothing more

As a professional with a busy schedule I find it very difficult to take the time to write a review of the services I receive at any place of business. I think it is worth to take the time from my busy family and professional schedule to write a review of my hairstylist and his team members. I have been a loyal client of Eduardo and Marbella Spa since the first day I visited the Spa. I definitely appreciate the treatment I receive when I first walk in the door; Sir can I get you a glass of water or a glass of wine? In Houston's weather at times a glass of water is great to have while waiting for my scheduled appointment. This is only one of the many great services the Spa has to offer, needless to say I love the way my hair is washed and shampooed before my haircut. The rods were definitely pink. It was all pink and one grey one on my bangs. I was only put under the diffuser when I asked to have my hair dried a little instead of sopping wet. And I had to wait 3 weeks to get the redo b/c 2 weeks to let the perm 'relax' and another week when Eduardo was out sick. No point crying over spilled milk after the fact, at least the redo fixed the pine tree look. Oh well, lesson learned. Thank the lord hair grows out. I guess you can't give a perfect cut every time, then you would be charging Jose Eber prices! Cons: value, perm more

Finally a salon I'll return to 9/13/2007

Was just in town last week for a visit and made an apt to get my hair cut and colored here. I've looked on citysearch before and got really bad advice so was a bit hesitant. Luckily it turned out I had nothing to worry about! Rosie did my color and she was great and so friendly! It was a quiet day in there so the rest of the girls came over and joined in the conversation as well. They really take care of you and make sure you are comfortable as well. Unfortunately Eduardo had to go home sick, but his replacement Truong (sp?) was great and my cut turned out wonderful! It was nice that they didn't just cancel my apt and instead found someone skilled to take over. Also they gave me great restaurant advice, which I took and enjoyed that evening! :) So glad to have found a salon I can keep going back to! Pros: skills, service, products, staff, location more

It's hard to find a new stylist without referrals when moving to a new city. But, the two things that stood out to me about Marbella's was the long history of consistently positive reviews on Citysearch and the later hours the salon is open. After my first visit for a haircut and highlight with Lonni, I've become a loyal customer. This salon is perfect for me because I am a busy business professional that prefers reserving my weekends for things other than half a Saturday of highlights and hairstyling. Plus, I have very difficult hair to color (Asian) and I know when a colorist is good if she can get my hair the color I want. I also highly recommend Eduardo, as he is a master with the clippers and very good to his clients. more

Bad Customer Service 8/10/2007

About a month ago I was getting ready to take my entrance exam for medical school, and I wanted to get my haircut and have a spa day. Since Marbella was rated very highly with great comments on Citysearch I was set on going here. My boyfriend found out and decided he wanted to surprise me by booking and paying for it in advance. When he showed up at Marbella the male owner was opportunistic with poor customer service skils and tried to sell him a package that included a manicure. However, this service isn't even offered!! Then when my boyfriend tried to get his money back the owner made him pay $5 for ""swiping the credit card machine."" This is ridiculous! As any business owner knows, there is a cost to doing business and this burden should not fall on the consumer especially since they are being potentially being charged for services (manicure) that they will not get! My boyfriend, but was so digusted by his treatment that he just gave him the money and left. I'm glad he decided not to book my appointment here and got much better service elsewhere! more

I moved to Houston a year ago and I needed to find a stylist ASAP. I read reviews about Marbella and Eduardo on city search and called and made an appointment. I have been going back ever since. Eduardo makes getting your hair done even more fun than it normally is. I am always laughing! Once when I came in tired from work after a particularly bad day he even spent extra time giving me a scalp massage. It is hard to find service like that!! Plus I always get a great style and am constantly asked where I get my hair done. I highly recommend Eduardo and Marbella! more

Since I moved inside the loop I haven't found one salon that was worth the price you pay to live in the city until now. I read great reviews on Citysearch and figured why not? When I called to make the appointment, what I thought was the receptionist was extremely nice and professional and did not rush anything. I found out at the end of our call it was the owner Eduardo. The good experience continued into the salon and Rosie, the other owner (they are newlyweds and such a nice couple), was so welcoming and refreshing, and she did the best color job on my hair - EXACTLY the shade I wanted, not too light, not too dark - just perfect. Then Loni did my cut and even when she was juggling customers made no attempts to rush anything at all. Not even the blowdry. The cut was perfect. I went for bangs and she did them the perfect length. This salon knows how to run a business and when I checked out the prices seemed under what some other salons charged. I hope I made up for it in tip because they deserved it! The atmosphere was great too. I will be back many times... Pros: everything Cons: umm nothing more

I had my first experience at Marbella today and left with the best haircut ever!! The staff was very nice and personable. I requested Eduardo from all the reviews on Citysearch and I was not disappointed. I really didn't know how I wanted to cut my hair, but he really paid attention to my concerns, how I wear it, day-to-day styling, etc. He was very meticulous in cutting my hair which I really appreciated because most hair stylists I've been to have just rushed through the process. He really paid attention to what he was doing and made sure it was perfect. I also liked how he explained what he was doing while he was cutting my hair, the products he was using and how they were used, and how he styled my hair. My cut was perfect and I had never seen my hair look so good before. I highly recommend Marbella salon. The staff was friendly, the salon was nice and relaxing, and I got the best hair cut EVER from Eduardo! I'm so relieved I finally found a salon I can stick with! I received a cut and color here. My hair came out okay; however, what really turned me off was the staff (not the person cutting my hair, though). I am 28 and an attorney and pregnant. At least three of the young girls told me they couldn't believe I was having a baby, etc. I feel that I am more qualified to decide whether I should have a baby than the young girls at the salon. Also, I found them to be very unprofessional. I won't be returning, regardless of whether I liked the stylist. more

Edward Scissor-Hands has nothing on the Edward that cuts, colors, styles and manages at this boutique! Forget for a minute that this salon and spa is beautifully designed and accentuated with furnishings that relax the mind and body ? it?s the cut and style that count, and Edward exceeds expectations on that score. All stylists and staff are very professional and courteous, both over the phone and in person, and are always eager to make your experience enjoyable. WOW!! What a great experience I had here and guess what I didn't even get my hair cut. I put my trust in fellow citysearch reviewers and they did not let me down. My roommate asked me to find her a salon because she was on a mission to donate to LOCKS OF LOVE. Her Mom and I have been trying to get her to do it for some time. I knew since this would be tramatic(she has only had basic trims the last ten years) she needed the right person to do this. I came to citysearch and did some homework and found Marbella had the best reviews of salons in Houston. Even better I found Eduardo for her. He took his time to talk with her and found out how she lived,worked and played,how she does her hair, how she needs length kept so she can pull it up when needed in reserve work and kept her relaxed. The staff was a little worried...they understand how tramatic this can be for some women and have seen tears before. Thank you everyone for being supportive!!!! Maria, you and Eduardo have put a great team together. The vibe, the energy and the beauty of your salon has me wanting to get my haircut now....I'll be calling this week. One of my favorite places! The staff is friendly, the salon is lovely and clean, and Eduardo is a magician. I?ve been there three times now and am completely satisfied. It?s so great to have found a hairstylist that I trust and have full confidence in. I?m in my mid-thirties and he gave me the best hairstyle I?ve ever had in my life. It suits my body type, my face shape, my career, and my lifestyle. Then there?s Trang. She works wonders with the wax. I have very sensitive skin and have had problems in the past when after having received waxing services, my skin would be red and irritated for hours on end. Whatever Trang's secret is, whether it?s her process or the product, this is no longer a problem for me. I?m exceedingly pleased with Marbella and know you will be too. more

Marbella was a great experience to say the least. My hair is very fine and I hadn't had it trimmed in at least 3 months. It seemed to be weighing me down. I didn't know if there was hope for it. Eduardo saved the day. He looked me in the eye and knew I didn't want the length gone. He did a great job bringing my hair back to life while keeping the length. It looks great and I've gotten so many compliments already. I'll definitely be back to get it colored soon. I am so glad I found such a great place! more
