Really happy with them! 6/16/2011

I called them because the temperature in the house wouldn't go below 84 degrees. I expected it to be a big ordeal to make an appointment, wait all day for the guy to show up, him tell me a bunch of technical jargon and so on. They were great! Very friendly office staff, making the appointment was easy and convenient. Sam arrived right when they said he would, and they called me to tell me when they were on the way. Such a friendly and smiley guy, he found the problem very quickly, and explained it without a bunch of mumble jumble. It's cooling better then ever now! I will use them again and refer them to anyone. more

The company to trust 2/26/2011

Our heat stopped working and we have an infant so needed it fixed right away. We called a company that put in a new heater across the street from us two weeks ago thinking they were familiar with our type of heat and cooling. They told us it didn't make sense to repair it because it needed about $2000 worth of repairs and we could buy a new one for about $6000. My husband thought it was a good idea to get a second opinion and if the second company agreed to get a cost for a new heater from them too. Good thing we did! When Magic Touch looked at it they said we can fix it for $312. I don't know if the first company was trying to take advantage of us or if Magic Touch is just better at what they do but we now have heat and it cost us $312 not $2000 and not $6000. Magic Touch is the company to trust. more

poor service, poor management response 8/11/2010

Wished I would have spent more time asking friends for a referral verses trusting these online reviews. We had two service calls with charges upon charges for fixing the same thing. After the third time we gave up. The management is unresponsive and belittling. I would ask for my money back but that would be a battle I have no time or energy to fight for. Don't believe the hype--stick to friend and family referrals FIRST. Don't believe online reviews as there is no way for telling if it is a friend or co-workers fake review as I'm certain the ones about Magic Touch mostly are. more

IMPRESSIVE SERVICE AND RESPONSE TIME 7/16/2010

We WERE SO IMPRESSED WITH THE SERVICE AND CARE WE GOT FROM MAJIC TOUCH. WHERE DO I START? FIRST WE WERE ABLE TO GET SERVICE WITHIN TWO HOURS OF OUR INITIAL PHONE CALL. THE LADIES IN THE OFFICE WERE SO POLITE AND EFFICIENT. THE SERVICE MAN WAS POLITE AND FOUND AND FIXED THE PROBLEM VERY QUICKLY. HERES THE PART THAT WAS SO IMPRESSIVE. THE SERVICE MAN INFORMED US THAT THE PART THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. WE HAD NO IDEA THIS WAS THE CASE. WE HAD ANOTHER COMPANY REPAIR THE SAME PART A LITTLE OVER A YEAR AGO AND THEY NEVER MADE US AWARE WE WERE STILL COVERED BY A WARRANTY. HE EVEN TOOK THE TIME TO CALL TRAIN TO VERIFY THAT THE PART WAS INDEED COVERED. HE ALSO TOOK THE TIME TO EXPLAIN AND REPAIR THE REASON THE PART HAD ONLY LASTED A YEAR THAT THE LAST COMPANY REPLACED. EXCELLENT 6/14/2010

I was very happy with the fast response time and how polite both the office staff and service guy were. No doubt he was very experienced but I wish he could have spoken in laymen terms instead of AC Guy terms. He was kind enough to get on the phone with my brother in law in Virginia who is also an AC Guy and explain what was wrong. My brother in law said he definitely knew what he was talking about and thought his price was "very reasonable". So: Magic Touch you get EXCELLENT for this review! Pros: Fast service, very polite Cons: Wish he would have spoken in more laymens terms more

Thanks Tom 3/13/2010

Tom fixed what other company couldn't. I was told by a different company that the air conditioner could not be fixed and I should just buy a new one. My neighbor suggested I call Magic to get another opinion and that they could be trusted. The alternative was spend thousands on a new air conditioner so I figured I would take the gamble since I cant afford that right now anyway. They sent a technician named Tom who not only said the air conditioner COULD be repaired but he could get the parts needed that day and return to fix it. He did suggest I consider replacing it also since it is almost twenty years old and not in the best shape but was not pushy about it. Since I just went back to work after almost five months of being unemployed, replacing it is not an option for me at this point. So I spent $344 and it's working good again. I just need to make it through this summer and hopefully will be able to replace it next year. I will call Magic to do it and I will ask for Tom. Pros: Can be trusted more

Top notch company 2/24/2010

Fast service on a Sunday with no weekend rate extras. Tech was obviously very experienced and got the air working again quickly. I will use them from now on and refer anyone who asks me to them for sure. Pros: Fast service, fair rates Cons: None more

No Magic for Magic Touch Mechanical 1/20/2010

1/20/2010 Magic Touch Mechanical = NO MAGIC! As to purchasing a new AC/Gaspac unit, fast service and fast install, As for service; service call was quick, however the unit required a new blower motor which they did not stock and had to order 2nd failure in a 2 year old unit As to servicing what they sell; POOR performance in obtaining parts and LENGHTH of Tme required for the repair They Failed miserably at acquiring the necessary parts in a timely fashion and did not go out of their way in expediting a fast shipment I have been without Heat or AC for 23 days. I would never again purchase a unit from “ Magic Touch Mechanical” Cons: if not a stock part, be prepared to wait weeks for part more
