The service recently preformed should have been done during the April seasonal service. That was what I thought I was paying for. I'm unhappy paying for seasonal service and payin...

Best A/C Company in Scottsdale 4/25/2012

We worked with many contractors in the past and I was afraid of receiving the (normal) substandard service you get used to. After talking to several A/C contractors and nearly giving up hope, it was absolutely amazing to finally meet someone who was really knowledgeable and cared. Rich Larsen, who presented the proposal to us was the most knowledgeable sales guy I ever talked to. There was no cheap sales talk like the other ones and he thoroughly explained all the options to us. He even recommended some changes to increase efficiency (none of the other contractors mentioned a word about it). Did they live up to our expectations? They absolutely did !!! The install crew arrived on time. They explained the whole installation process to me up front and the installation started out with the removal of our old system. They covered up all of my floors with tarp, cleaning up after every step.. WOW. They paid very close attention to every little detail during the installation (that was the first ?). After everything was done I received a thorough training on the new system. Now the really amazing part is, they came out again to do a quality inspection and answer any open questions. This was the best contractor experience I ever had and I am looking forward to do business with them any time in the future. BTW their Trane electronic aircleaner is a MUST. Just a few days after the install I nearly forgot that I ever had severe allergies. It’s not the cheapest but worth every cent. more

Very impressed 8/8/2011

I was very impressed with the level of customer support from this family run company. We had both of our AC/Air Handler units replaced in May '10. Rich Larsen, (owner) was personally involved not only in the initial phase, but during the installation and follow-up. We ran into some minor problems with the initial install and Sue Larsen was VERY proactive in the coordination of getting things rectified. All in all they exceeded expectations more

Purchased a new Rheem system to replace an aging Carrier A/C and to take advantage of rebates and tax incentives. Can't say enough good things about the company and experience. Very friendly and easy to do business with. I highly recommend JR Perkins! more

You won't be disappointed 7/26/2011

Looking to replace a 22 year old Carrier Heating and Cooling unit, we invited J. R. Perkins to make a proposal. Literally within hours Rich visited us, carefully evaluated the building and the Carrier unit and offered a proposal for a new Rheem unit. We found the price to be very fair for the high quality unit itself, the promised promptness and professionalism of the installation, and the other longer term benefits. Later the same week, the installation was complete and functioning beautifully. We cannot say enough about the quality of everything - first-rate throughout. The installers were top-notch professionals who did impeccable work, cleaned up after themselves, and volunteered to answer any and all questions. We recommend J. R. Perkins enthusiastically and without reservation. You won't be disappointed. more

I am very impressed 7/22/2011

To be honest, I very seldom review any company. But I have now bought two a/c untis from JR Perkins and I'll tell you.I am very impressed. They are so professional. From the salesman to the installers, they are so polite and go about there business in such a professional manner. It is indeed a pleasure to find a company that actually takes some pride in their work. Nice going guys. Thanks. more

My experience with them has been outstanding 7/20/2011

I was looking to replace my old air conditioner and was not sure sure what company to choose. I knew I wanted a professional company that had a good history and would be around after the sale. All of my research lead me to J.R. Perkins. My experience with them has been outstanding. They are professional, knowledgeable,and answered my many questions regarding the numerous a/c units and installation process. Their follow-up and attention to detail was excellent. They even came out after the install for some minor touch-up work! I am very glad I chose J.R. Perkins and would recommend them anyone looking to purchase a new air conditioner! more

We are very happy with our new units and the installation 7/18/2011

I liked this company right away when they did NOT send me some slick salesperson who was clueless about AC installation. He also did not try to upsell me on a stuff I didn't really need. Our guy had been installing HVAC himself for several decades, yet was totally up-to-date and even suggested many small, free improvements he could make to our system. Front office was extremely courteous and professional. Installation, follow-up, timing, rebates, everything went smoothly as planned. Very professional and everything is working great. We are very happy with our new units and the installation. I'd highly recommend this company to anyone. Their lack of BS alone is worth it, but they also back it up with top-notch service and products. more
