Thank you Foster Premier closing department. I recently closed my condo and a problem came up during the closing. A quick call to Tammy and she was able to explain the issue. The ...

Worst

The employees that work for this company are very rude and are quick to transfer people to VM. Very rude and hard to get ahold of the actual person in charge.

What are we paying for? They are the worst!! 2/10/2010

This company has managed our HOA since inception- Managed may not be the right word here. I meant to say- mismanaged. I won't go into the details here- just to say avoid them at all cost unless you want to be ripped-off. more

The worst service, attitude and treatment towards residents 2/10/2010

I called so many times in the past notifying The Foster Premier Inc. about dangerous ice & snow accumulation around our dwelling unit. I also complained about snow removal after 8 a.m., which is the time when all our neighbors including ourselves are already gone to work. Every time I call in, I face the worst treatment from Marla and is given information in a very disrespectful manner. No request have been satisfied. I often would get the person dropping the phone call. My suggestions and complaints are never taken seriously. In return, all I get is a very sarcastic, rude and disrespectful tone. I never received notifications about the Board Meetings either. That said, I often feel powerless and being unable to improve the maintenance of the premises. more

Absolute arrogant jerks all around (my opinion) 12/13/2009

In all my years on this good earth, I have never met a MEANER angrier vindictive WITCH with a ""B"" than our property manager B. Doren.. From my experience, and by talking with other home owners in my community, they don't act like they respect their customers at all. I REALLY had the ""feeling"" that they were a little too friendly/cosy with our board of our association (.why ???). I met the owner briefly one time at a meeting, and in my honest opinion.. just a big group of arrogant jerks who showed disrespectful attitude to their customers... again not facts here just 100% my subjective view as a customer, and so you should form your own opinion of the company... just take my review as the feeling of one individual..although gee wiz.. it seems like a lot of customers may agree with me...? Pros: This is the US.. & there are other HOA companies to choose! Cons: Absolute Petty jerks!! Poor customer service/management more

Foster Premier the worst HOA in the world 10/14/2009

I would never understand a home association, who collects $$ but has nothing to do with the area. We have no parks, no pools, no nothing, where does my money go? That?s right, we do have some trees that if we don?t water ourselves they would die. Seriously, I would like them to tell me where my $$ goes? Why do I have to pay them for doing nothing? Pros: Pros: none what so ever, not even one star worth Cons: Cons: who they are more

Terrible mgt company 9/4/2009

I have lived in a townhome managed by them for over two months and have several maintenance requests that have gone un-done. I speak with their office rep who handles this and she seems to never remember speaking with me. Don?t live in a development managed by them!! more

Great Managment Company 8/6/2009

I live in a Foster Premier association and have had a great experience so far. I had an issue with Millipedes and an issue with my mailbox and both times they had someone out to handle the issues within a day or two. The president is very knowledgable and if answers his phone directly if you ever need to contact him. I know that other residents in my community were frustrated with the turn around time for their complaints to be addressed, but I believe most of the issues are out of the associations control (legal matters, the builder, board approval, etc). Al in all- this is a great management company! Pros: Very Knowledgable Staff more

What am I paying for? 7/16/2009

Foster-Premier is a terrible management company. I live in the Easton Park subdivision in Carol Stream. While the builders were here, they took care of the lawns, landscaping, rule enforcement and did a decent job. Since the builders have left, the common grass in front of my house has not been watered once. There is dead grass and bare spots in common areas. There was no mulch spread into the landscaping this year. In July the leaves are falling from the trees from not being watered. We have complained and have not had our calls returned. In the winter the snow sits until it becomes ice and they do nothing to fix the problem even though they cash our checks all winter. I moved into a townhouse community with a management company to avoid snow/ice removal and landscaping. Once again, they are terrible! Pros: No Pros to speak of! 1 star is too many! Cons: poor work, no follow-through, expensive assesment no results more

What a group of useless people 4/3/2009

I need a copy of an approval faxed to me. The lady rarely answers the phone, or is constantly out of the office. No one else wants to get off their butt to simply fax it. Ask for an e-mail address and you get sent to their voicemail? The minute the operator sees the opportunity to pass you off to voice mail she has done it before you even finish your sentence. more

Research before you accuse 1/29/2009

I am currently moving into my second Foster managed complex, where I was on the Board with the first. I got curious and read the reivews given here. What appauld me was the comments and complaints here are actually not complaints with the management, but rather with the Board and sometimes the limitations governering documents place on the Board. ** Please keep in mind until their is a homeonwer board there is a developer Board Foster Premier has to abide by so the term Board is very loosely said here. Management companies are not babysitters and can not make decisions for fines, assessments, and maintanance without the Board approving it first. I know from the last building where I was on the Board had to approve any expense over $1,000, which things for maintanance usually are. Additionally, fines also have to approved by the board for bad nieghbors. Rather than get frustrated with management for something they have no control perhaps you should read your Declaration, the Condo Act and the attend a meeting to place the blame where it belongs. Residents that have these type of complaints should be on the Board so that they are able to authorize Foster Premier to fix these issues! Pros: They are knowledgable, careful of the laws, and easy to work with more

worst professional company EVER!!! 12/10/2008

It is no wonder that the most recent reviews have come back with such disdain for this group of rude, obnoxious, lazy individuals (the women in the office). They are nothing but all about the money. They have made purchasing a condominium in one of their association a NIGHTMARE. We have been trying to obtain documents regarding Summit Enclave and they CONTINUOUSLY want money (cash in hand) for each individual thing they send or give you and then don't produce like they say. There was a particular form that needed to be completed (for my mortgage co.) and the charge was $50...taking 4 days to complete...if same day then $100. Sent them $100....""will try and get it done today"". Now more money for more documents. ridiculous. Oh, and they are quite well versed on hanging up on you. THAT they do well. Cons: WAY TOO MANY TO LIST!!!!!!! more

need more info 11/19/2008

most of these reviews would help if you tell us the Subdivision/complex name. I think the good rating came from the menagement company. more

A step towards a law suit...and it's the tip of the burg. 11/6/2008

copy of a friendly letter I have sent my builder in regards to Foster:I live in The Ponds of Genoa City I am complaining and want this forwarded to Dixon Residential and Foster Premier as well. I will be following up with both and want your consideration in the sales office as well. Foster Premier of Buffalo Grove, IL. is the association for the Ponds. I am filing this as a complaint before I move this to my attorney. I am considering this my 8th attempt to contact Foster (this time via 3rd party). Foster has not retunred my calls, and they have not taken action on any issues I have requested action on. I have spoken to Jill at Foster after attempting to contact Norma via her voicemail as well as the general voicemail because she is never in or never answers her line. I have complained over and over and yes, over about the residents in *** They own FOUR vehicles all of which are parked outside at all times taking up 4 out of the 12 spaces behind the model units. With units closing more frequently there are ZERO exterior spaces left. Each unit is alloted one space (which still doesn't add up to the stall amounts). There needs to be some sort of numbering system OR there has to be some sort of penalty for parking FOUR vehicles per one unit outside. It's ridiculous, aside that he infringes on our garage space by parking his extended bed, double cab truck sideways. I also called to find out about where are fees are going, because the landscaping is poor, and they hung up on me! I am not a difficult person to talk to, but the service is horrible. I am sick to think that this company can operate, no less someone would sign a contract with them to be the governing association in their townhome community. I will go as far as I can outside of slander to let people know the issues that they will run into if they move here in association with Foster Premier. I thank you for your time and am sure someone will get back to me promptly. that's the tip of the iceburg. Pros: a dollar less than other associations Cons: you don't see a penny of it used...except for the fat asses always on lunch when you call. talk like they are eating when u call them all the time! more

run away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 7/14/2008

The worst. Promises not made, i.e., sealcoating driveways. Trim bushes every week........not necessary. Cannot explain where the funds go.......club house fitness equipment is sticky from the previous users' sweat. arbitrary rules at the pool. lifeguards smoke???? I'm a little worried about their lung capacity when they might need to save someone. more

Worst service available 7/14/2008

This is the absolute worst service i have ever experienced. Happy to take your money, but hang up when you call to ask where it goes...?! I called to ask a simple question and was rudely hung up on after being told by the operator that they cannot talk to me. If you have any choice in the matter, I would not move to Heatherstone subdivision in Beach Park. more

Money Well Spent NOT 5/23/2008

I have lived in the Heather Stone Community located in Beach Park, IL. We bought our home in April of 2004 and our neighbors moved in around June of 2004. They have 9 kids living in the home with the two parents. The first week after moving in they had their two oldest sons girl friends and their two 3 year old boys living with them. The two 3 year olds would constantly be unattended walking down the street. The property was a total mess with grass 8"" high and garbage and gum everywhere. The windows had sheets over them until 6 months ago when the put mini blinds up on 3 windows. The house has no air conditioning so, during hot days I could not even sleep with my windows open because the noise was so loud. The screens from the house were destroyed and laying all over the property along with a trampoline and basketball hoop that were falling apart and unsafe. From the back yard patio door you could see black garbage bags stacked up in the kitchen against the wall 4 feet high. All this time I was in contact with Foster Premier and the Village of Beach Park. NOTHING has ever been done. FINALLY on the 15th of May the family moved out leaving the house and the property in total disarray. The garage is full of garbage and the inside of the house is trashed. For the past 4 years I have been imbarrassed to have family and friends over due to the neighbors next door. I have had NO help from either Foster Premier or the Village of Beach Park. Now I have been putting in a NEW patio which will make my property look NICER and I received a $50.00 VIOLATION and a STOP WORK order from Beach Park because I did not obtain a permit. I wanted to finish so I could have family over now that the neighbors are gone but the patio has to be approved by Foster Premiers board of directors before the permit can be approved. And that could take upto two weeks. I guess I pay $8000.00 a year in taxes to have someone else tell me if I can build a patio. Cons: Everything I would suggest not using them more

Created a painful process to buy and now sell my unit 5/20/2008

I have lived in a building managed by Foster Premier for several years now and do not have a positive experience to speak of. While moving in, there was information that they could not provide in a timely manner(2weeks) to the seller which delayed our transaction and actually forced us to reschedule our closing. I only say this because now I am the seller and going through the same painful process again. Several times that I have called out to Foster Premier the people I deal with act as though they are grossly understaffed and at the end of their ropes. I just want my sale to go through so each time I am overly polite and each time I receive subpar customer service and just flat out rudeness. If you are in the unfortunate position of having to deal with Foster Premier leave yourself twice as much time as you think you should need to obtain your information and dont call them when you are not in a good mood. more

Top manager and management company for townhomedevia! 5/7/2008

Foster-Premier has been great for us. No complaints for the management company. Our community is very well served. Looks great! When our roof leaked, manager responded quickly and roofer was out to evaluate and repair in a timely manner! more

Excellent Service 5/6/2008

I think Foster Premier has done an excellent job at the condo where I live. The manager returns my calls quickly and they run meetings with the board & residents. I wasn't thrilled when my association fees were raised, but they showed us how costs were rising & gave us the option to cut services. I would recommend this management company and I think the association board should listen to their advice. more

New Knowledge 5/4/2008

Just recently I met with the president of Foster Premier and our propert y manager. Like many homeowners in frustration, I walked in with a hot head. The president met with my neighbor and I to discuss what was going on with our property. Many things are true with what we assumed a property management does. But there was a lot we learned. Most howners assume that the company is a glorified babysitter, frankly they do not charge enough if they were to assume to responibilty of a babysitter. We, like many homeowners assumed that all of the problems came from the management company. What homeowners have to realize is that there is only so much ""legal"" control that the company has. Many times these are a poilce matters or a community problems. It is important that the association boards lay out in the rule book what they are paying for, when they pay for a management company. It is not the fault of the management company there are bad neighbors out there. Sometimes people need to report that there is a problem. IF you feel that your problem is not resolved then to go to the next person in line. I am confident that if the president did not care about us or the way his employees conduct business, he would have never met with us. We only hope for the best in our futures, Pros: They were up front, blunt and honest Cons: I wish they were up front, with out us having to take the step of going into the office more

Reputable and recommended 5/3/2008
