We're very happy with how much we saved and the appliances work like they should, so no complaints. more

Terrible company 5/17/2011

I wish I read the review before I had anything to do with this company. Just as most of the reviews said, people in this company are rude, the customer services are POOR. I was told that the stainless steel dishwasher ordered was not in stock, and I had to wait for a week for it to be ordered. But after the extra week of waiting, the dishwasher delivered to my home was still a wrong one (a black one)! Unfortunately, when the electrician installed the dishwasher, I was not home. I contacted the customer service immediately after I found out. Their first response made me relieved. They said they would ship out the right model and swap out the wrong one for me. Which may only takes a week. After a week of waiting (without touching or using the model that?s installed), I called the customer service and surprisingly found out that they had changed the solution to just replacing the front door (saying that the two models are the same expect for the front door). I could not accept the deal because I don?t want a new appliance that has different parts assembled together. Emails ever get responded, and you can ever get hold of a person that can make the decision. So, if you want to do business with this company, pray that nothing goes wrong. Otherwise, you are doomed. And with the attitude this company towards its customers, things very likely will go wrong more

HORRIBLE- HORRIBLE Service. Think Twice! 5/2/2011

We ordered about $5,000 worth of appliances to be delivered to our home. Our delivery window was scheduled from 5pm to 9pm. Unfortunately at 9pm, our help we had to help bring the items inside had to leave. At 9:06pm, 2 men showed up with our new range and fridge. Our house has an entry with 4 steps up the front porch. The men very rudely said they would not be carrying the items up the stairs unless we paid an additional delivery charge of $25 per item which had not been previously disclosed to us. We had a total of 5 items and of course questioned the charges over such few steps and the fact they were late and we had to send our help away because of this. The men were very rude and hostile doesn't begin to describe it. We felt extremely threatened standing in a dark front yard with two hostile men screaming at us. Because of this we decided that they could just leave the items in our garage that doesn't have any steps and isn't behind closed doors where we would be alone with the delivery men. Now we will also have to pay to have the items delivered inside our home by another company. After our past business of spending over $12,000 with this company and being pretty loyal, we have now decided that because of the two men and their hostility and rudeness that we will be taking our business elsewhere. We planned to spend about $10,000 on additional appliances in the course of the next few months with AJ Madison but not anymore. I would hope this was just a fluke from a couple of grumpy men that had a long work day, but after reading all of the other awful reviews posted across the web, from all over the country- I see that we are not alone. Please thank twice before placing an order for delivery with AJ Madison. I know the amount of our orders are minimal to the overall volume in sales this company sees so a loss of one customer is not going to make them frown, but please if you care about you and your family's safety- please think twice before allowing these men in your home! Hopefully AJ Madison will listen to their customers complaints and will soon make some changes. more

PLEASE, DO NOT ORDER FROM AJ MADISON!!! There is a reason they are able to keep their prices low.? If you plan to place an order anyway, read their return policy, I think it says a lot about how they conduct business.? Pay the extra couple hundred dollars to work with an organization that cares about customers!!!? Please do not make the same mistake I did.? Read the customer reviews.? I assumed the majority of the reviews were negative because most satisfied customers don't take the time to comment.? I WAS WRONG!? Do not pay attention to reviews from Bizrate. They work for AJ Madison, NOT CUSTOMERS. I ordered a fridge on January 13th and received it yesterday (January 31st).? I had problems with the shipping company and when I called AJ Madison, they were very rude.? Since then, I've received my new fridge which has a large dent (4" wide) and the paint has been scratched in 6 separate and noticeable areas.? I'm keeping my fridge and praying that nothing else goes wrong with it just to avoid having to do further business with them.? I wish I would have done more research and avoided working with AJ Madison.? Please, do not make the same mistake I (and many others) have.? DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR MONEY!!! more

Crooked. Don't do it. 1/25/2011

I was really really disappointed that AJ's delivery service shaked-down my tenants for $40.00 for extra delivery charge. the transaction in Brooklyn had a conversation about the delivery being flat. When i called to get an explanation - after 5 times i got a live body that would take my call. None of emails were answered. they said that the contract has language that if there are stairs a $40 per flight charge. they carried it from the street up a few exterior stairs. to the entrance of my condo. Very upset by this since i'm a repeat customer and the last order was for a $5,000 range that i had shipped to Wash-DC six years ago. i wouldn't recommend them ever again. I believe over the last six years i mentioned AJs name at least a dozen times in positive light. I'd say since that delivery in December, i've mentioned their name two dozen times in negative light. Sorry AJ. Hope you feel good about yourselves shaking-down a young female tenant that didn't know better. very organized crime like. don't do it. go to home depot. over the last six years i've bought at least 20 appliances from Home Depot. And i've never had an issue with them. I know HD doesn't have the product selection like AJ, but wow. they hurt me. more

AVOID!!!!!!! DECEPTIVE 1/25/2011

Others wrote this but I did not pay attention, like the other review, until I had a problem. The customer service is awful. Deceptive sales people. I spent 20K with this company and ended up losing $2500 because the sales person convinced me to buy a hood that would not work as advertised with my range/griddle. Then they wouldn't take it bad. TERRIBLE SERVICE, DO NOT BUY FROM AJ MADISON 12/20/2010

I purchased a stove from AJ Madison. Once it was installed, I realized it was too big (the drawers hit the handles of the range). I went back to AJ Madison and they said there was nothing they would do for me. Once installed, even though I had not used it, it was not returnable. Even just 2 days after installation! So, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND, do not buy from AJ Madison. I have spent over $2,000 and have a nonfunctional kitchen. I have never heard of a company with essentially no return policy. BEWARE! more

Great Service and Delivery 7/28/2010

After placing my order on the AJ Madison webiste, I started reading really bad reviews of customers who had bad experiences with the company and order. To be very honest, I was concerned that I would experience the same issues as those that posted reviews. I did not! My products were delivered within two weeks after my order was placed, and the products I ordered are what I received. I have only opened one item, the oven to look and see if it's the one I ordered and if any damages existed. Nothing appears to be damaged. The delilvery service called the Friday before delivery and a half hour before delivery to my home the say of. Again, no issues! Now with that being said, I have not opened the products fully and waiting for our space to be completed to completely unbox. But so far so good. I am sorry to hear of those that had so many issues. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! 6/23/2010

Worst customer service! Not to mention the absolute WORST shipping service that they use!! Unless you like getting your appliaces delivered at midnight! My delivery was scheduled on a monday between 1-4 (wow, what a delivery window), I had to use my precious vacation time off from work to recieve my stove. They never showed up. They call me at 10pm that they would deliver in 30 mins. I was already sleeping so it didn't happen. They finally delivered the following thursday, and what a shoker, it was the wrong stove. I call ajmadison first thing the following day because it was delievered at 9pm and they tell me I got the correct stove. They read me a disclaimer (that I apperently didn't read on their website) that the images on their website do not always match the product you will be recieving, that is why everyone should always check model numbers. First I can't imagine any other retailer trying to sell appliances like that. Honestly who sells a stove and has the incorrect image of their website???!! But anyways, I have been shopping for this particular stove and know the model number by heart and I was 100% sure this was the correct image & model number. Anyways, I am on week 2 waiting on them to come pick it up which they were supposed to do that today (what a surprise, its 9 pm and they didn't show up). I can't get a refund until they recieve it!!! I have been in this nightmare for 3 weeks already!!! Oh and they wanted me to pay to ship it back to them!! Not going to happen! I hope they don't fall into the "thieves" category as well! The worst 5/31/2010

AJ Madison is a complete waste of time and money, terrible customer services, TERRIBLE return policy and nothing but the run around when you need to try to return a product - this is not atypical for appliance sellers - most dont care but AJ stands out as the worst of the worst They dont seem to have the support of their vendors when there is a major problem with a major purchase and you can never get the same customer service rep on the phone to deal with a problem. To top it all off they will actually ship out the last piece of an appliance without checking it first then have a their delivery persons dump it in your hallway and take off before you realize that the unit is a POS All my purchases will be from online appliance stores that actually have a real return policy / customer service Stay AWAY from AJ! Excuses Extreme Cafe offers delicious food, fun games, friendly service and great hours. They have transformed the legendary Club One space into a friendly neighborhood cafe. The staff and owners are eager to make sure their customers are happy and will also assist in any party or event planning you may have. After being a patron of Club One for years I can honestly say they did a fantastic job on making the space inviting yet left the things about the original space that make it interesting. I imagine it would be a fun place for kids since there are so many things to keep them busy here. Excuses is an original concept that you don't see in Dallas very often so I really wish them the best. Once you experience Excuses Extreme Cafe you will never run out of excuses to stop in and enjoy. We are customers who received a damaged, defective Liebherr domestic Refrigerator CS1600 on February 3, 2009 from AJ Madison, Brooklyn, NY. We do not know if the defects and damages occurred during transit or manufacturing. We have two small children and the unit is unstable on its base, which its most dangerous defect. We contacted both AJ Madison and Liebherr representatives in the USA and Germany and requested its removal from our home. Neither company has claimed responsibility. Terrible Company!!!!!!!!! 12/7/2008

#1 The sales person will lie to you to get the sale, we all think this is an obvious statement I am sure, but they will tell you ANYTHING to get you to buy what they are selling, they constantly tell the customers their items will arrive on said date, even when the item is in fact on Back Order, so when you call a CSR to get status on your order after it was placed with the Sales Guy a CSR will then tell you it is back ordered, you then would want to cancel and get it somewhere cheaper right? Well then they train us to tell you there is a cancellation fee which FYI there is not. But we will say there is because well our managers tell us to. The "fee" is normally $50 but if you have a BIG order we will say 100-200 depending on the amount of money you spend. #2 When customers call in for damages (i.e. you received your item(s) and they have a huge dent in them) you will then reach a Damage Line, they will do anything for you to NOT send back the item. they will offer you 10% off, and to be honest if you do have a damage and it is purely cosmetic and can be easily fixed and don?t need to send it back, I would strongly recommend you trying to haggle them down as far as you can I think I have even seen them give 50% off before depending on the problem though, so like for a dent I could say they would give you 30% the key is to be persistent, keep calling EVERYDAY yell and tell them you will do a CHARGEBACK (they hate these words cause they HAVE to give the money if you do one of these) #3 if you do actually need a new unit.....GOOD LUCK it takes a ridiculous amount of time to even get a person who knows what they are ACTUALLY doing on the phone and then once you have a rep who knows their job, the unit(s) could again be on Back Order or Discontinued, which FYI happens a lot. But the discontinued item(s) are not AJ's fault; it is the fault of the manufacturer. But it can take a while. But again I have seen it take less than a week but that doesn?t happen often Pros: maybe have better prices Cons: EVERYTHING besides prices more

Great place to play pool! 11/9/2008

What a great find! We went to another place first on Sat and they were closed for a private party , so we were looking for a NON SMOKING place to play pool. We went to citysearch, tyed in billiards, and this pool place came up. The review below could not be faarther from the truth, this place is great! They had pool tables, great music a full bar and a food bar. They also had other games, but we were only interested in a non smoing place to play. What fun! You have got to check this place out. Extreme is just really that much better than what you expect out of deep ellum! Pros: non smoking bar in Deep ellum! Cons: a little hard to find, so keep your eyes open more

Big Caution 8/30/2008

Went to this place for the first time expecting great things. I could not keep track of how many things\r went wrong. We placed our order and first thing they came back and said that they were out of one of the items a member of our party wanted to order....no biggie. Quite a few vegetarians in the group so choices were limited. After taking a very long time to serve, they finally came carrying too much to handle and dropped one of the pastas on the floor....they said we would have to wait 10 minutes for another one. By that time some folks were ready to start eating. (they served us in shifts preventing us from eating together and people felt they wanted to wait for the others) The spilled pasta patron ordered a sandwich instead but got hers sooner than a party member who ordered in the first round. Initially they came with food for only half the group... We had to remind them that she had ordered a sandwich too a long time ago. Waiter shift change was the excuse. Sandwiches came with NOTHING extra....no chips....no fries...nothing but the sandwich (french dip- meat looked like thicker Arby's meat). We inquired and were told pickles are served with some but not with that particular sandwich. Then we knew some were going to leave still hungry. We ordered some sorbet....(single dips) and we were brought bowls with delicious sorbet (the one bright spot) and low and behold when the bill came we were charged for two scoops each when we hadn't ordered two per person. What's up with that? Had to ask twice for refills on beverages....the begian waffle was teeny (but he said it was good). Portions are definately not very large so don't go hungry. For what we spent? 53$ got us 2 sandwiches with no sides, a pasta meal (salad had to be ordered on the side, extra) a personal pizza, a waffle with fruit, 3 drinks and 2 sorbets.\r AND NO attempt at any kind to make up for anything we experienced. Excuses?? they were full of them. more
