She was honest yet positive and supportive. 1/31/2011

The assistant was so thoughtful and caring. Yes, they took my dogger to the back to be examined, but that's partially because they had to hook her up to an IV immediately. The vet (I forget her name) came out within a few minutes to tell me what tests they'd like to run, and all the possible outcomes. She was honest yet positive and supportive. more

Every single person I dealt with at the clinic was wonderful 1/26/2011

My golden retriever recently had an emergency surgery. I was nothing but impressed with the staff. They were amazing with my dog and were so kind to me during the process. Every single person I dealt with at the clinic was wonderful. Thank you Emerald City for the excellent care for my dog and the kindness you showed me during this difficult time. more

Not shocked or bothered 1/19/2011

I was neither shocked nor bothered by the price tag, which was around $415. Heck, a routine visit to the gynecologist costs me $200 (or would, if I didn't have health insurance) - why should I expect emergency services for my cat to be in any way cheap? When I think ""emergency room"" I think possibly $1,000's spent... more

Let the professionals do their job. 1/13/2011

It seems like everyone either loves this place or hates it. While this is not my favorite place in the world (who loves the emergency room?!?), I feel I need to defend it a little. A lot of the negative reviews seem to come from people who are unwilling to accept that emergency medical care is expensive, period - whether the patient has two legs or four. I didn't think there was anything wrong with the way my cat (and I) were treated. The receptionist went through a list of questions for me and listened to my answers carefully. I know she was paying attention because the diagnosis/treatment papers that I was later given listed every detail that I described, even the somewhat irrelevant details that I was babbling at one in the morning. I didn't mind that I couldn't accompany my cat to the examination room, and I do think that this is a 100% professional policy for an emergency clinic. My immediate emotional reaction was an ache to be with Ella during the ordeal, but I got over it. Let the professionals do their job. more

The staff very lovingly took care of my beloved dog 1/10/2011

I feel a need to further my positive shout out to this place. The staff very lovingly took care of my beloved dog during her final hours. In the process, they also took care of me. I thank them for their compassion toward me and my puppy. Their understanding helped me through one of the worst evenings I've ever experienced. Should you ever need urgent care for your pet, I highly recommend this clinic. more

I'll never forget your kindness in his darkest hour. 1/6/2011

The day I lost my best friend and personal assistant Brutto was the absolute worst day of my life. I credit Emerald City Emergency Clinic for not only being open during the snowstorm, but also the patience and understanding and sympathy of everyone who works there. When I went in to pick up his ashes and paw print a few days later, the vet assistant made a point to tell me how sorry they were for my loss. Thank you for helping me say goodbye to my wonderful boy. I'll never forget him, and I'll never forget your kindness in his darkest hour. more

Last Tuesday you took care of our dear dog Jackson. Thank you for all your kindness, calls to our daughter in Dallas, and your words, ""we'll close his eyes"". You explained Jacksons condition- your presence in the room helped Jim and me. We will miss our friend who taught us to grow older with style, to enjoy every meal and to greet with happiness. Dr. Lewis Thank you so much for your kind and caring treatment of Betty last Tuesday. I cannot tell you how nice it was to have you be so throrough and focused on Betty. She is such a sweet dog and you took such good care of her that she is recovering nicely and will be back at it(minus a few teeth!) because of nice, skilled and attentive folks like you. I hope we don't see you at the hospital again but maybe on a nice long walk!! Thanks so much, I hope you know what a difference you make and how professionally and empathetically you make it.
