My wife and I were just there for our anniversary. Our initial impression was that it was a bit loud for our tastes. The restaurant is pretty much one room with high ceilings, s...

We had two birthdays yesterday, and out of several suggestions, we decided to go to Crow to celebrate. My partner called earlier that morning to make a reservation for 4 at 7:30 ...

still thinking about the gnocci... 2/3/2005

It's funny that throughout the reviews here, this place is dubbed "Seattle's New York Bistro," because that's exactly what came to mind when I ate there last night. The restaurant's atmosphere is very energetic, young -- with an (intentially) unfinished loft-like decor. We sat at the food bar which I highly recommend -- it was so fun to watch them prepare such amazing food, and gave us an opportunity to make an educated choice on what we wanted to order. Others here complain of slow service but ours was extremely quick and was actually handed to us piping hot by one of the chefs himself. I ordered the brown butter gnocci which was absolutely phenomenal -- I'm still satisfied almost 24 hours later. I highly recommend this place for a casual yet sophisticated dining experience. Pros: interesting menu, great cocktails Cons: limited parking, a bit noisy more

Below Average 1/27/2005

The food here is so-so, was not very impressed with the lasagna or chicken. Nice wine list, but overall it was not worth the money. Pros: nice atmosphere, close to Keyarena Cons: , No parking more

Hope you're not in a hurry! 1/20/2005

The food is good but plan ahead because you'll be here a while. Fortunately, we allowed for extra time before the ballet thanks to other reviews for this restaurant. Our waiter was polite and the service was fine but slow. If you're not in a hurry and want a place to spend some time catching up with friends over a bottle of wine - this is the place. more

Bad service nullifies food 1/12/2005

"Reservations are a must" but they make not one difference. We waited for an hour without so much as an apology, offer of a seat to perch, or even a free crust of bread. Tables opened up elsewhere in the restaurant, but we were not seated at those either--apparently they didn't want to overtax the waiter in that area. Meanwhile, we'd been standing for an hour and we were potentially paying customers. I'm sorry we didn't go elsewhere because the food was totally average for a "New York Style" Seattle restaurant--of which there are many now. Spend your money elsewhere til this place figures out how to better treat its customers. NEVER have I received such poor hosting service in this town. Wrote a civil letter of complaint and never heard back, either. Pros: average food Cons: , host's attitude, loud more

Don't go to Crow 1/3/2005

Food was cold and raw. Service was unhelpful. Ambience means nothing without good food. more

Extremely slow & unprofessional service 12/12/2004

The food here is good, but the positive does not outweigh the fact that both times I have been at Crow my service has been way below standard set by restaurants in the same price range. There are pleny of other places in Seattle to where you can get both good food AND service you won't grow old waiting for! Pros: Food more

Bizarre dining experience 12/7/2004

We were very excited about checking out "Seattle's new New York bistro" but were pretty disappointed. 1) We made reservations for 8 on a Wednesday night. Due to some sort of mix-up, our table was given away and we had to wait almost an hour to be seated. Annoying? Yes. We were offered free appitizers but were able to order 2 (for 4 hungry people) before the menus were taken away. 2) They sat us at a table with no silverware. The waiter mumbled some complaint about the hostess before setting our table. 3) The food was INCREDIBLY slow - nearly an hour wait with no explanation. My friends reported that the food was excellent. My meal was so-so. Not bad. Not great. Pros: Pretty good food, New place, Unusual location Cons: , Uncoordinated, Loud more

Crow rules! 11/18/2004

Finally, a decent new york/bistro style restaurant in lower Queen Anne, or in Seattle for that matter. From the same folks that brought you the Stumbling Goat in Phinney Ridge, Crow is really great. Super nice staff, great ambiance, and unbelievably tasty plates. Great new developing neighborhood, new Tower down the street along with Vita and a great new non-smoking bar. GO CROW! Pros: ambiance, food, staff more
