Again you guys did a great job on the 99 C-5 Corvette sounds nice and quit after changing the pulleys and belts and the new slave shaft for the full end to end new transmition feels better and smother shifting I'm happy and my cars happy. When i had a problem with my van, I immediadetly looked for a local mechanic. I saw Gateway Transmission on-line and looked it up on BBB and found out they have an "A" rating. Im so glad I brought my van to them because I was very satisfied with the work they did.. Kudos to Mr. Dave and Charles for a great service. Very knowledgeable and trustworthy people. more

I went in to Car Care Clinic on a Saturday with a heater motor issue. It was replaced; however, it was not totaly tested before giving it back to me. I called and told them that the other speeds, other than high, did not work. I returned the vehicle on the following Tuesday and was told the resistor had failed along with the motor. Max, the service manager, repaired the vehicle, including the resistor, at no cost, and through in a car was to boot. I will reccommend this shop because of the excellent customer relations. more

Outstanding customer service and were very patient with me in figuring out what I needed to do. They fixed other gripes with engine that previous mechanic shop installed incorrectly. They definitely make sure that your car is in the correct standards even though it was in a place you couldn't even check and notified me of the incorrect installation. You at least you know you are getting your moneys worth with this company! Thank you Dave and your mechanics on a job well done! Great job , replaced Clutch , worn parts in transmission, Rear main seal on motor , and clutch hydraulics . Job was done on budget as proposed and so far no problems. more

Car Care Clinic is really, really great. They're friendly, professional and always get the work done on time. I did have one thing that was a little disturbing, they offered to give me a ride to work after I dropped off my car, which was fantastic but then I discovered they charged me $60 to test my battery, which I can have done for free almost anywhere. I didn't think to ask about it so I was just a little surprised when I got the bill. I would still recommend them to a friend. more

All I had done at Car Care Clinic at Gateway Transmissions was an oil change. When I came back five hours later, it wasn't ready. I asked for it to be ready by noon and it wasn't. Also, the cost was supposed to be 125 dollars -- that's what they told me. When they ring it up, I find out about environmental fees. I felt it should have been disclosed and that they needed to be upfront about it. I wanted them to look at another issue and they couldn't do it that day. They said diagnostic service costs about $117 per hour and it can take 1 or 2 hours, then maybe they'll apply some of those diagnostic service costs back to the work that's needed to fix the issue. It sounded like a high diagnostic fee, for a chance they might find something. A friend told me normal diagnostic costs are in the $60 to $70 range. We were unable to fully diagnose your faulty block heater during the time your diesel truck was here for its oil change; I wish we had been able to find the problem quickly and save you the frustration and cost of an additional visit. We definintely dropped the ball when you were quoted a price for an oil change and the small environmental stewardship fee was not mentioned. That's why we removed the fee the moment you brought it to our attention. I had a transmission put in my F150, an old Ford model. Car Care Clinic at Gateway Transmissions had no problem taking care of it and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. They explained everything about it- before, during, and after- which I thought was really good. They did some really good work and I haven't had any problems whatsoever. They were all good to me, and they all did well at their jobs. Everybody there is working as a good team; they've got a good thing going there. From mechanics to public relations, I was pretty happy. The place has a very desirable atmosphere and they are really good at speaking with customers and explaining everything. I would definitely take my rig back there if I needed them again. You can take my word for it, I'm a retired mechanic. more

I especially like that they quote right from the maintenance database. Especially if you have more than one vehicle, you can't beat the price of the VIP package even if you do just oil changes and a checkup. more

I have a 99 Corvette I had a lot of work done from them. Started at Blade Chevrolet was very unhappy with service at billing. Car clinic had my 95SUV and 89 S10 they did great work on so I look in garage and they had a Vet like mine on the rack, so I said ok I'll give um a shot. I've couldn't be more happy with there work and most of all my car runs like new. Had them put new transmition, clutch, KM air flow,8 ball shifter, full out brake (red)job to accent my Custum rims,exost plate, 2 computer and a few others. I took our vw bus in to have the clutch adjusted. I asked Dave to look her over and he did find a few things that needed attention. Important parts, the brakes, front and rear, ball joints and the shift linkage. They also changed the bearings. She drives, handles and stops great! I am very impressed that Dave had the knowledge and took the time to source quality parts. I also appreciated being kept informed of what was found and what the options were at each step. You guys are great! Thanks!! You will definitely be seeing us again! more

I've been using these guys for 3 years and I knew they were good based on the level of detail and professionalism they put into every repair order. But this last time they far exceeded my expectations, Not only did they perform the required maintenance at a marvelously low price, but they found the source of chronic engine vibration that I had chalked up to the vehicle's old age. while replacing my timing belts, they discovered a bent engine mount that was invisible except during timing belt replacements. They replaced the mount and my 168K mileage vehicle is running like a new car! Huge kudos and special thanks to Charles! In Oak Harbor, this is THE repair shop to call when your car needs work. more

It is going to have more problems, but they changed the fluid and cleaned the filters so it will last a little longer. The people were professional and friendly, and their prices were reasonable. Gateway Transmissions is my place to go any time I have car trouble. They are very friendly, and they take the time to listen and answer any questions I have. They always treat us well and take care of the problem. They go the extra step to make sure we are happy with the service they have done.
