Top Notch Service 4/12/2016

I took my pickup in recently for a oil change and front shocks. I found the staff to be friendly, helpful and professional. I will be back with my car and motorhome. I would, however, suggest that the waiting area be improved. more

Great Service - Above and Beyond 4/11/2016

Our truck needed repair on Saturday where most repair shops wouldn't be open, we drove around Oak Harbor looking for anything. We noticed the doors were open and yet they were not officially open he welcomed us in and told us he would look at our truck Monday morning. Gateway loaned us a van so we could get around while on vacation. We very much appreciate all the hard work. more

Great quality 4/8/2016

Brought in my BMW 745li, needed to replace my engine and Gateway swapped it for me in just a few days with great quality. I've been driving the car since with no problems whatsoever. Also, it didn't cost me as much as I expected it to. Thanks Gateway Transmission! Ill definitely be coming back. more

Engine sounds 4/3/2016

Dave recommended a timing belt change, tuneup and rear drive module servicing. Majority of engine noise has now disappeared. more

Excellent 3/30/2016

Visited Dave in March 2016 at the Oak Harbor shop when my car would no longer shift. They were courteous and professional and very expedient. They had my car repaired in one day and took care of everything as discussed in the estimate. I highly recommend these knowledgeable folks over at Gateway Transmission. Fast, reliable service at fair and reasonable prices. more

The lobby was not up to par. When I came in there were only four chairs and I had to sit in the middle next to a lady that had a dog that smelled horrible. I was not happy with my experience in the lobby at all. I think there should be more of a sitting area and a TV or music playing in the back ground. I also was not happy that my car didn't get a wash like it did when I used to take it to Mount Vernon towing. I'm not sure if I will be back. RESPONSE FROM Car Care Clinic at Gateway Transmissions: Brenda, we are sorry you were uncomfortable in our lobby during your oil change appointment. You're right, we do need some additional seating. Maybe a couch or a corner sectional. Music would also be a good idea. We are sorry you missed getting your car washed; the coupon that you used for the oil change didn't include the automatic car wash, but if we had known you wanted it, I'm sure we would have accommodated you. Good luck with your next repair facility, we are sad to lose you as a customer! more

I really was well served. The level of knowledge shown by the staff and their concern for my vehicle put me at ease. When I got the car back, it ran like new. I will be a client of Gateway Transmission for a long time. more

The got the job done, before the time requested and for a good price. 3/15/2016

We just recently purchased my daughter's 2008 Ford Focus and it was coming up on it's 90,000 mile transmission service. I did not know were to go, but my husband recommended Dave, from years ago when he put a new clutch in his truck. I was told there were several cars ahead of mine, but he and his crew got the work done, ahead of schedule and at a reasonable price. I also found out that they also do tune ups, oil changes--the works. When we need someone to take care of the Focus we will call Dave. more

Great job and they were correct on what was wrong. 2/25/2016

Talk with tech the first time and just by my info to him he told me what he was sure of the problem. Took car in and they looked same day, told me what was wrong just like tech had said, ordered parts and had car done before noon next day. I took on test dirve and problem was corrected, great job more

Car Care Clinic at Gateway Transmissions troubleshot my problem with my vehicle and they helped me through what we found afterwards. They were very professional and timely with their work. It was my second time going to them and I have had good experiences thus far. I would definitely recommend them to others if I have the chance. more
