WONDERFUL! 2/3/2010

I just moved back to NJ from CA - very stressful time! Both the CA crews and NY crews were excellent - they were fast, professional and friendly. When I asked them to take extra care of my bedroom furniture, they were more than happy to comply. In addition, the estimator was also excellent - he explained the details of the pricing and made some great suggestions on packing. My only issue: my delivery times changed 3 times, so I was a little inconvenienced. Otherwise, GREAT JOB - would highly recommend them. Honest Movers 1/30/2010

I have moved back and forth from New York to LA and used California New York Express 3 times. From the very first estimate to the last move everyone in this company was very helpful, understanding and honest. My furniture was packed to perfection and delivered to me and set up exactly as I asked. The movers were careful and respectful of my things. All contact I received from CNYX was always professional and handled in a timely manner. There were no hidden costs and no hassles. If I decide to move across country again or even a local move I would use this company again and again. I would also highly recommend them to any of my friends. Pros: No Hidden fees more

Great Moving Company - happy customer 1/14/2010

California New York Express Moving was recommended to me by a friend in NY who had used them to move from SF and so I went with them and they just moved me from NY to LA and did a fantastic job, from start to finish. Their rates were also very competitive. Every single person from the company was top-notch, from beginning to end. Noel, the estimator on the NY end is a consummate pro and very charming. Always on time, extremely knowledgeable and efficient, straightforward and incredibly responsive when I had questions. The moving guys in both NY and LA were fantastic - extremely polite, fast, focused, smart, professional, and friendly. I trusted them completely with my belongings, in every way. The system they have of tracking and accounting for your belongings is also incredibly impressive, down to the tiniest of details like miscellaneous items with my furniture (wheels, legs for the couch and chairs, etc. - I was amazed. And, I really appreciated their regular email updates on what state my stuff was in - moving your life can be stressful and there's something comforting about knowing where it is each day. Excellent Moving Company 1/8/2010

I highly recommend using California New York Express Movers. Two friends of mine used them before me and were very happy with the results, and I had just as positive an experience. They were prompt with email responses and incredibly accommodating. The movers who packed up the truck were nice and worked diligently and efficiently. The movers who unloaded the truck were just as nice and hard working. Our stuff is currently in storage, but there's no noticeable damage on any of the boxes. Also, when the movers were on the road, we received regular updates on which city our home was in. Could not recommend this company more! Great Cross Country Movers 1/7/2010

The quality of the service was great. Although the dispatcher rescheduled my pick up time, which was inaccurately communicated to me, and therefore caused some problems. Just make sure you know that there is a time window. But once the movers got there, things went smoothly. And everything arrived several days sooner than expected and in good condition. Really a good experience. And much less expensive than my quotes from other movers. 50% cheaper, without sacrificing quality. more

On time and nothing broken or missing...great movers! 1/6/2010

December 2009, I moved from midtown Manhattan to Ogden, UT and was worried about finding a company willing to drive to Utah at a fair price. I found California New York Express through various Google searches and moving site recommendations. The whole process through Express Moving was easy, professional, and everything arrived on time in one piece. For something that I figured would be a painful, stressful process, I am happy to report it was extremely easy and stress-free. At first, I was only going to ship 10 boxes through UPS but I calculated and using Express Moving to move all 10 boxes and my furniture was cheaper than shipping with UPS. Much safer as well. Every person along the way was professional and courteous and moved efficiently. Use California New York Express Moving, and remember to tip!! Lost items; bad service 11/28/2009

I used this mover twice. On a move back from LA to NY, the company took a number of items out of my place without recording them on the moving log. As a result (I'm assuming), the items never showed up in NY. Despite a very friendly sales rep who eagerly invited phone calls to answer any questions PRIOR to the move, after the items went missing, I was told to only communicate via email or mail. No phone calls at all. That process was slow. And claiming that since there was no ""evidence"" of the items being removed from my place in LA, the company offered no compensation. I'm now missing a number of sentimental items (from travel to Buenos Aires and Ghana, another one a gift from my dad...). It's a clever scam, if intentional. Simply remove items but never record them. There's no way for the customer to make a proper claim. Given the lack of professional response, I would advise potential customers to look elsewhere. more

Fantastic Movers!!! 11/16/2009

OMG!!!!!! You guys were the best ...starting from your superstar salesman...Noel Naughton......we had many estimates but he was the kindest & most available salesman!!!! Then moving on to the guys that moved us...it was like the calvary came to rescue us from our 6 month packing journey that left us tired and weary...they were polite, helpful and kind too!!!!! As for the guys who dropped the furniture in Vegas they were speedy and efficient...I thank god I went with you because I was on my last leg...and you made this a very very smooth transition form NY to Vegas...thank you kindly!!!!!!! Amazing to do business with!!!!!!! 11/10/2009

Everybody lies to get business these days...that's one of my pet peeves, being told something is going to go a certain way or cost a certain amount and when it's all said and done nothing turned out the way it was promised!!!!! It is NOT like this at CA NY Express. Every time I called them they called back promptly. They quoted me a price and it was the same exact price upon delivery of my belongings. They worked with me on the delivery date (I am in school). The delivery guys were nice. They took care of my expensive furniture. They have 1 month of FREE storage. They were nice every single time I interacted with someone on the phone and in person. I have not had service like this in years! I wish they could teach other people how to run businesses!!!! I would recommend this company to anybody and everybody who needs movers!!! They made my 3,000 mile move very pleasant and easy!!!! I am so happy I chose to go with this company :) more

Trustworthy and Professional Long Distance Movers 11/10/2009

I've used California New York Express twice now, and both times I've been extremely pleased with the experience. All of their guys took great care with packing and moving my stuff. They worked hard and took their time on both ends of the move, and as a result the only item that was broken was one margarita glass. Moving is stressful enough without having to worry about the quality of your movers. So I felt like I was in good hands with Cal NY Express. I moved 4th floor walk up in Brooklyn NY to Los Angeles. Noel came to give me estimate on site, which is great. I had no idea how many boxes I would be using and I couldn't be sure about other company's phone estimate, but he was Pro and gave me quite solid number. and it was no more than any other company's estimate. but without worries of under estimating own inventory. Then Teddy and his team came to pick up. They were cheerful, yet professional. They moved all of my 100+ boxes and some furniture in 3 hours! They numbered, secured boxes, wrap furniture and everything. After days of stressful packing, it was such a relief to get one of major thing done quick and smooth. I excluded a few items and total amount was adjusted to less than initial quote. After 9 days, a day after I arrived in CA, they delivered everything. They came right on time and in less than 2 hours, it was ALL DONE! I was busy checking list for inventory so didn't get much chance to chat with guys, but they were very nice, too. I promise thus guys that I write a review about there excellent service as soon as I'll finish unpacking?. Well I finish unpacking a week ago I just now got the time to write about the wonderful experience I went through relocating from NY to LA. To start with I have never done such move before and had a lot of fears regarding the whole procedure. Well it all started when I fist mete peter the sales representative that explained everything to me and my wife who didn?t stopped asking him question about god-knows-what?.. And peter kept answering her every question with noble patient. I thought to myself well they try to sale?.. It can't be that good? Well folks, it is and better. Thanks to all the guides we got, we knew exactly how to pack stuff and the crew helped us with heavy more complicated things we have. The moving specialist crow kept on the connection via e-mail and on the phone updating us on how the moving went along. When we finally got to new house the local crew and truck were there just as promised. All our belonging was unloaded and unpacked in a very professional manner. Hidden Fees, Rude Service 8/10/2009

Read this contract carefully, because there are tons of hidden fees in here, like charging you 5% to use your credit card - who wants to carry around a thousand dollars in cash? When i called to complain about this fee, the guy told me that he didn't care because I signed the contract. They also gave me a moving window of 1-2 weeks and when they went outside this window, they again referred to a line somewhere in the contract. If the people you are talking to are touting 1-2 weeks (and it turns out they NEVER get anywhere 1 week, let alone across the country) this just makes them a bunch of liars. DO NOT MOVE WITH THIS COMPANY!!!! Cons: Hidden fees, and rude customer service more

Great Moving Experience! 6/19/2009

I moved from NJ to LA using this company and it was really great! Every time I had a question, I emailed my moving specialist and she got back to me within 30 minutes. They inventoried all of my stuff by putting sticker wth my name and a number on everything. When they were bringing it into new my apartment, they gave me the list and I checked off everything to make sure they weren't missing anything. The guys were all very nice as well. The pick up date was May 28 and they dropped it off June 9. It was not bad at all because every day I got an email update on where the truck was and when they were going to be here. The only thing I can say that was bad was that they said they were drdopping it off between 9 and 5 and they got here at 4. It would be a little easier if they gave me 9-12 or 2-5 like they did for pick up. I brought that up to them and they said they were working on it. Otherwise, I have no complaints, everything was in one piece! Use it if you are moving across the country! Pros: Very professional Cons: Had to wait all day on the drop off day more
