DO NOT USE THESE MOVERS!! We moved from NYC to California and had the worst experience ever with the California New York Express movers. The furniture pick up from NYC was uneventful and went smoothly. However we were in for quite a shock when our movers showed up at our apartment building in CA to deliver our furniture. First of all 2 of the 4 movers that showed up were drugged up, they're eyes were glazed and initially could not walk in the straight line. Secondly, before the movers unloaded the truck, the driver extorted an exorbitant tip from us and lied saying that that was as per the terms of the contract. Finally, one of the movers while unpacking the boxes stole a brand new Coach bag valued at $400 from the box. When we complained to the company they were not helpful at all and when we filed a claim with the company, they offered us $21 for the lost item. I wish I could give the company a 0 star rating. more

LOVED your service from move quote in California thru delivery in New York! David in L.A. was awesome and assisted me whenever I had questions and your crew in NY went out of their way to get my things delivered to me on the day promised although at first it didn't look like it was going to happen - but they worked very hard! Both crews in LA and NY were extremely professional, friendly and FAST! I will recommend you all to anyone that requires a cross-country move! You are the BEST! more

Great inexpensive and fast cross-country moving service - used them to move from New York to Los Angeles. The movers were efficient, professional and friendly - they helped pack things up they thought might get damaged in the move, including large furniture pieces. more

This company helped me with a big move from CA to NY right before Hurricane Sandy and they were extremely professional and helpful the entire time. We had two stops (one in Manhattan and one in Brooklyn) which i was worried about at first but once I saw how well everything was handled, I felt 100% comfortable and confident that I was getting top-notch service. All of my items delivered were completely intact and moved to the exact spots in my home that I had requested. Very responsive customer service as well! Would definitely recommend this to any of my friends who would need a similar service in the near future. more

Total Fail! The movers did not show up. We had confirmed twice. When we called a half hour after the agreed-upon moving time, a person named Josh-who we had emailed several times before and who's name is listed on the contract, told us we hadn't confirmed! He had already re-routed the movers to another job (within a half hour!) and could not move us that day, leaving us in the lurch. WTF! Totally unprofessional. We believe this guy must be a broker or something, farming out jobs on the fly. more

We used them to move from Los Angeles to New York. The movers were great, very efficient. Our boxes/furniture arrived undamaged, even amidst Hurricane Sandy. Their customer service number is very responsive and they provide constant email updates. We would definitely use California New York Express in the future! more

Used for household move from LA to NYC. No car. Dislike (reason for not rating 5 stars): Delivery was 2 hours late. Screws to mount mirror on dresser were lost. We needed to buy some. The new ones were reimbursed by the crew on the spot. Estimate of volume was 5% lower compare to actual measured day of move, within reasonable margin of error though. Like: Customer Service was good. NYC Dispatch was very flexible in scheduling delivery. Crew was professional and courteous. Estimate items were accurate and salesman straightforward. No last minute surprise. Quote and item included/excluded were well explained and detailed. Advice to get 5 Stars: Better timing accuracy for delivery. Better bounding estimate. Overall good experience. This is my first professional move so difficult to compare you to competition. However, your quote and initial service were definitely more accurate, affordable, straight forward and honest than competitors. more

Extremely happy with the service. These guys were Courteous, professional, prompt. The best part is how organized they are when picking up your stuff and dropping it off. Not only do they meticulously inventory your belongings, but they make sure you are aware of everything they are doing. If I ever find myself moving back to California, I will use these guys again. more

We moved from NJ to the East Bay of California. This difficult move was made so much easier by using California New York Express. They took such good care of our furniture, mirrors, pictures and valuables and were polite, helpful and on time. They delivered our houseful of goods in one day and were so helpful by asking us where to place the over 200 boxes of ours. more

I recently used California New York Express Moving to move from SF to Manhattan. From when I wrote my inquiry to two days ago when they delivered my household goods I was extremely impressed - service was much cheaper than alternatives, staff were quick and professional both in-person and on the phone and it completely exceeded expectations. While I didn't have any ""high-end"" artwork/furniture or anything, I did have a number of electronics and furniture that were shipped safely. If you are moving between these states don't research any further!! more

I had an outstanding experience with California New York Express Movers. The whole process was so simple, which was especially helpful given that this was my first cross-country move. I was so surprised to find that such a wonderful, professional company offered such reasonable prices. In addition, I was extremely pleased when the company honored my requests for specific dates for BOTH the pickup and drop-off of my belongings and accommodated my locations just outside the cities they serve. I?ve never heard of anyone else having such a positive experience with a long-distance move (except my friend who referred me to this company!). The folks in the office were highly responsive and professional, and the movers were kind, efficient, and careful. This company made a potentially very stressful process as easy as could be and I am so glad I was referred to them. I recommend them very highly and hope they continue to maintain their excellent service and affordable prices more

This is the second time I have used CA/NY Express, and I have to say -- these guys are the best! From initial quote to delivery of items, they are totally reliable, provide great customer service, and have always been on time. The moving crews are friendly, thorough, and incredibly efficient -- upon delivery, my things were moved in and assembled in less than an hour. The rates are great -- especially considering how good the service is -- and they provide a month of free storage. more
