Best cut and color in Chicago with Pamela 11/14/2006

I have been going to Pamela Moore for years. I love her so much that I followed her from another salon to Brilli. I was a little skeptical about going to a new salon, but Brilli has so much character. The atmosphere is contemporary yet warm and friendly. Pamela always knows just what to do with my cut. I don't even have to tell her what I want. As for color, I am a natural blonde but she always finds a way to optimize my color. I always leave there feeling fabulous. It is definitely worth the price. I would follow Pamela anywhere!!! Hip, Cool, Skilled, Friendly, Enjoyable 10/17/2006

I felt more attractive just walking into the place. Then I sat for a moment and sipped on wine while my stylist prepared for me. She seemed very experienced and was skilled. I got great advice for what I could do with my hair. I also got great advice for what products I could be using. Pros: Ambiance, Experience, Comfort more

Very disappointing 10/1/2006

I went to Brilli once before, and even though my colorist turned me brown instead of red, I went back. My color eventually washed out and was the shade I wanted (and it lasted longer than usual). This time though, I had to wait 40 minutes for my stylist who said, ""I didn't even know you were here."" No one seemed to care that I was waiting, I had to ask twice when she would be ready. No problem if you are running late, but at least let me know. Cons: LATE! more

My favorite salon ever! 8/10/2006

I have been going to Brilli ever since it opened and I highly, highly, highly recommend it. Pamela, my regular stylist, is fantastic--I get my hair styled, cut and colored often and she does an amazing job every time. She suggests changes to my cut and color when she senses that it's time to try something new, and I have never been disappointed by the results. I have also used Brenda and Barbara with equally great results. I get so many complements on my hair and have recommended Brilli to many of my friends. The atmosphere at Brilli feels chic, yet comfortable, and the entire staff is always friendly and professional. I hate being pressured to buy hair products, and although the staff will recommend things to you if you ask, I never feel overly pressured to buy anything. I feel like they truly care about making me look my best and not just about how much I am spending when I walk in the door. Pros: Ambience, Service, Quality of Work Cons: None! more

Extremely Impressed 7/13/2006

When a friend of mine suggested Brilli, I was apprehensive considering my hour and a half commute. However, apon my arrival I found Jana to be considerate and respectful of my goal blonde, which other salons told me was unobtainable. A commendable consultation, amazing conversation and the real care for my hair, and I wound up with the most beautiful, buttery blonde that has literally stopped bystanders in asking who my stylist is. I have never, ever, felt as confident as I feel today. Jana gave me exactly what I asked for, and more.I will forever be a loyal client to Brilli salon, from reception and shampoo girls, to brilliant colorists. Cheers girls!!! I love you all!! Pros: Amazing staff aside, Jana is the most talented colorest in the Chicago area Cons: I had more money to spend on shopping when I left (love the considerable prices!) more

I was very impressed with Brilli Salon. The staff is very friendly and truly care about your experience and satisfaction with their services! Pamela Moore is a wonderful colorist and stylist that takes the time to understand what YOU want! The ""Brilli Salon experience"" really differentiates them from the competition! Loved my wedding hair by Pamela! 6/25/2006

Pamela has been styling my hair for the past 10 years. I followed her to Chicago for haircuts and color when she moved here. Pamela also gave me the most beautiful wedding hairstyle. My hair turned out just as I imagined it would. She is a perfectionist when it comes to styling a brides hair. I highly recommend Pamela for color, cuts, and for special occasion hairstyles. All the girls at Brilii are great. Rachel gives the best massage in Chicago by far and Barbara has the art of waxing perfected! The Best Color! 6/12/2006

I have been going to Brilli since it opened and I love it! I typically see Pamela but have had Jana, as well. I am addicted to the way they color my hair! I just went back blonde for Spring/Summer and I am super happy with it. I also recently had a glycolic treatment from Tiffany and it was so realxing and my skin looked great. Barbara is brilliant, friendly, very knowledgeable, and very professional. She made me feel comfortable, and offered suggestions regarding skin care. Barbara is sweet and full of positive energy and she directs the flow of that energy through your body and soul to turn you in to a new person. Andreana has a great smile, a friendly attitude and went out of her way to make me feel comfortable. Andreana has a bubbly personality that uplifts your spirits. Rachael is friendly and has strong, soothing hands. Rachael is sweet, wonderful, and quiet during the massage. Parking, though, is tight. I hope they make some arrangements with the validated parking garage next door, which is used by the clients of Whole Foods, Caribou Coffee, and Gym place. Andreana is the absolute best! 4/4/2006

Salon Brilli is full of fun, energetic, friendly, knowledgable girls! Andreana cuts and colors my hair and she is phenominal! Her cuts are perfection, they always look good and grow out perfectly. I have very hard hair to manage and Jana does a great job! My hair is cruly and thick and I wear it straight! I would not survive without Jana! It always looks great and I trust her to do what is best. She also is great with my color and am always happy with the outcome. Its always a great experience! more

I have been a client of Andreana's for a few years now and I would follow her anywhere!! Andreana is an exceptional hair stylist and colorist. She does amazing hightlights! I always feel like a million bucks when I walk out the door. Andreana has a great sense of style and is always keeping my look up to date. Not only do I feel great at Brilli Salon but everyone else always looks great too! What an attractive and fun group of woman to be surrounded by. Fellow curly heads LOOK NO FURTHER! 2/5/2006

As a woman who has naturally curly hair (not wavy, truly curly) I am happy to say that there is finally a hair stylist out there who can make my hair look good! I have trusted the amazing Barbara Gretsch with my curls and ALWAYS leave both looking and feeling better. She knows how to work with your curls, not against them, (which most stylists do not know how to do) and through perfect layers can give your hair shape without leaving you with hair that looks like a pyramid or hair that is just plain boring. Now living in another state, I plan trips throughout the year just to visit Barbara and let her work her magic on my hair. And as a side note, she is just as talented with her skincare and waxing practices as she is with her haircuts. Pros: intimate space more

I love my Paris haircut!!! 2/1/2006

If you have always had the perfect cut and color from former stylists, please do not read further. However: for the rest of the world: Barbara Gretsch at Brilli is wonderful! She has colored and cut my hair twice at Brilli and, most recently, redesigned my hair to give me a fabulous haircut just in time for a trip to Paris! My cut is easy to blow dry and style myself (who knew this was possible) and the color never fades or looks like it's growing out. I highly recommend her. Not impressed at all! 2/1/2006

I was referred to this salon by a friend and after reading reviews I decided to try them. I was expecting my experience to be completely different than all of the other salons I have visited. Well Brilli is no different than the rest. My appointment did begin on time which is a rare thing in salons but it ended as quickly as it started. My stylist did not listen to what I wanted and I ended up with terrrible a terrible color!! The cut was not bad, it was shorter than what I wanted but again it was because she did not listen to me. She had a bit of an attitude and at the end of my visit tried to sell me a ton of products. I was not impressed at all and my search for an exceptional salon continues. Pros: Whole Foods!! Cons: Attitude, Not worth the money, Horrible color!!!!! more

Love it 1/27/2006

I'm new to Chicago, and went to Brilli on reccommendation of a friend. I chose Andreanna for my cut and color. I was recovering from a short cut and drastic color and wanted to go natural, but with some flair. She reccommended a cut that suit me and helped me to articulate the kind of color I was going for. The best part was that there was a separate person to wash my hair and give my head a massage to boot. I really enjoyed it. I'd definately be back. Oh and it's walking distance from Whole Foods too. A total plus in my book! I ended up spending a little more than I would have liked, but the result was beautiful, and to me, worth it. Pros: service, quality, ambiance Cons: price more

Fabulous New Place 1/22/2006

Brilli Salon is a fabulous new place with people who are great stylists and color experts. From the very warm grettings by the receptionists to the exceptional friendly service by Pamela. I will definitely be going back. I walked out with a great cut, color and highlights. They are definitely not pushy with hairstyles and products. What a great experience!
