I purchased my gown Oct 30,2010. My Shopping experience was good, not excellent. When I was given the details of my when my gown would arrive they told me four to six months. Which is acceptable of what my wedding planner told me to expect. I placed a call to the bridal salon 6 months later in early April, I was told that the gown would be her at the end of the month. I called again April 28,2011 and I was told that the gown would be here within the first two weeks of May. I called again at the end of May and they told me yes your gown is due to arrive the second week in June and we have a tracking number for you to keep track of your package. This time the gown did arrive however I never receive a call notifing me of the arrival. The gown arrived according to UPS on a Thursday; I called on Friday did not get an answer. On Saturday I called, gave my name and asked if the gown had arrived and a man in a nasty angery voice said ""yes it did!"" ""We called you and left a message!"" I explaned to him that I never received a message he told me that I was ""lying and that they did call"". I have never had someone speak to me so, rudely and, lie about a purchase that I had made which cost me thousands of dollars. I will not be using them to tailor my gown nor, for bridesmaids gowns or accessories. They lost my trust with the first lie (that my gown would be here in 4-6 months). I feel like they disrespected me and the value of my money. more

Horendous Treatment, Do NOT buy from here 10/8/2010

Do NOT go to this store. I have never been treated so horribly in a store. I felt like Julia Roberts from Pretty Woman today. I walked into Bridals by Niko excited to look at bridesmaid dresses. This mean lady approached me grudgingly asking me what I wanted. I told her I was here to look at coral bridesmaid dresses. She immediately attacks me ""Are you just here to look or are you going to buy!"" I was taken aback, I explained I need to look first to see if I like anything before I buy. She basically walked away from me. And when I asked to be pointed in the direction of the dresses she grunted and said I can look around. I asked her ""Do you not want to help me? Because if so I will leave."" She said ""not really."" Okaayyyyyyyyy then...I told her I did not know what her problem is, but that I would take my business elsewhere. And that this was no way to run a business. TERRIBLE! RUINED my day. DO NOT GO HERE! more

Never would spend a dime in this store 3/6/2010

My fiance and I were looking for bridesmaids dresses and vests for my groomsmens. I asked the man at the counter a question and he walked away from me mid-sentence. We walked out immediately. Saved my Daughter's Wedding 6/15/2009

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but this is a special situation and I think the people at this store deserve it. My daughter ordered her gown online to save money. I agreed with her that it was worth the extra wait to save money in these economic times. Three weeks before her June 6th wedding it had still not arrived and they said it would take another 6 weeks even tho she ordered it last fall! She put a chargeback on her credit card, and in desperation we went to different stores trying to do a a super rush order. Finally arriving at Niko's Bridals, we were shocked to see that they had the exact gown in stock at almost the same price in a size close to what my daughter needed. They altered the gown on a rush basis and my daughter looked beautiful on her wedding day thanks to them. I will tell my friends that internet shopping for the most important dress of your life online is not such a great idea, and we found out the hard way. Horrible Customer Service 12/29/2008

My friend used Bridals by Niko for her bridesmaid's dresses. I was fine in regards to paying for my dress and having it fitted; however, they were horrible when I went to pick it up. Her wedding was two days after Christmas and I went to pick it up the week of the wedding. I went earlier in the week thinking I would get it before the holidays. I had already had alterations done so all I had to do was pick it up. I went at 4:30pm on a weekday they were supposed to be open until 7pm. They were closed - there was no note on the door and no holiday hours posted. They had no answering machine with hours, and did not take messages. I wrote them an email stating that I was disappointed in the lack of information and needed to hear back so that I could get my dress before the wedding. The man who I dealt with was not apologetic at all - in fact when I called the day before the wedding to make sure I could pick it up, he was very nasty. He spoke rudely and told me that I was the one accusing them of having bad service and that they were open just for me to pick up my dress that day. Apparently the date I was given to pick up my dress was an ""appointment"", when I understood that my dress would be ready to pick up starting that date. Apparently, I picked it up too late, even though I never received a call stating anything otherwise. He told me that the sign with the emergency note/holiday hours fell down. When I went to pick up my dress, there was nothing indicating the store would be closed that day at all. He also wrote me a pretty nasty email in response blaming me for not picking it up (at the same exact time I called to find out if they were open). In short terms - no understanding of customer service or that the ""customer is always right"" if not usually right. I recommend going somewhere else...in fact I recommend Jacqueline's Bridal where I got my dresses. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE THERE! I called the Alfred Angelo customer service line to file a complaint about the terrible service at Bridal by Niko, and the representative mentioned that they have gotten plenty of complaints about that place. I asked if any other Alfred Angelo retailers in the area would treat me better, and she basically said, go to any store but that one. So my advice: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. Cons: Terrible Service more

Service not that great 9/20/2007

I bought my wedding gown from here and the first 2 ladies that helped me were as nice as can be. The owner was not so nice. I was told the gown would come in by May and by the end of May I called and they said it was not in yet. I asked why was I told it would be in May. The owner said someone told you wrong. I had ordered this dress at the end of January. I did not get a call until June. When I went to go pick this dress up, they had ordered me the wrong size dress. It was 2 sizes too small. This was their error and they made it to be it was mine.The lady said she could alter it and it would be fine. I said I paid all this money for a dress and I do not want it altered. They stated it would take too long to reorder. After talking to them for a while they finally rush ordered and I got the right size, but when I came in to try it on the lady was very rude and tried to rush me out. I would never do business with them again. You are paying all this money to them more

I bought my dress back in Dec ('06) and was told it would be ready by mid-March. When I hadn't heard anything by the last week of March I called to find out what happened. I was told that my dress would be in by the end of that week or the next. I waited to the third week just in case, and called again. I was told that it was shipped and I would get a call 'tomorrow or Monday'. I waited until the following Friday and called to talk to a manager. The manager came to the phone dripping with attitude and had no desire to hear what I had to say. He interrupted me two words in with 'what is your name and wedding date' he came back to the phone saying 'your dress came in 3 days ago'. When I asked why I hadn't gotten a call he said 'Well, we don't call right away...we have to do paperwork and stuff', like he was talking to a 5 year old. I started to explain that i was upset not that it took so long for my dress, and that they didn't call me right away, but because I kept being told one thing (you're dress is coming...we'll call you in a few days...) when clearly that wasn't the case. I barely got 5 words of this out before he continued to interrupt me saying 'why do you care, your dress is here now', and than told me he didn't care that I was upset. When I went in to pick up my dress i was told that manager's name was 'Tony' and that I must have over reacted because it was impossible for him to be so rude. The woman I talked to kept interrupting me as well. I referenced this site and the review below because I'm sure it was the same guy and she still wouldn't believe me. These people are extremely rude and clearly do not care about their customers!! Cons: Managers were horribly rude!! Also in the city so parking is a nightmare more

Let's forget for a minute that it took my dress four months to arrive. Let's concentrate on the fact that the manager only ever spoke to me like a pestering relative who was once again hitting him up for money. Even simple questions were repeatedly met with brisk, clipped answers that dripped with dislike. When I called to reschedule a fitting and mistakenly gave the appointment day as Sunday, I was answered with a loud and rather accusatory, ""Impossible! We are not open tomorrow!"" The clincher for me was when this manager angrily told me off in the middle of the store for having an ""attitude"" (i was there for my *third* fitting, and, apparently, he didn't like the way i gave my name). A customer who witnessed this reported that this same man had reduced her niece to tears, which was why she (the aunt) was in the salon to deal with the dresses. Ladies, getting married is stressful enough without this. more

MY COUSIN BOUGHT HER WEDDING DRESS FROM NIKOS AFTER GOING TO THREE OTHER STORES,TRYING ON 15 TOTAL DRESSES, SHE FOUND THE ONE AT NIKOS, WE ALSO PURCHASED OUR BRIDESMAID AND MAID OF HONOUR DRESSES FROM THERE, THE DETAIL OF THE DRESSES WAS WONDERFUL. NOW IT IS MY TURN TO GET MARRIED AND SOON AS I WALKED UPSTAIRS ONE LOOK AND I FOUND MY DRESS EVEN IN MY SIZE, OUT OF 4 TRY ONS THE FIRST ON IS THE ONLY ON EVERYONE ELSE LIKED AND THAT IS THE ONE I AM GOING WITH, SO TO EACH HIS/HER OWN, ME PERSONALLY I LIKED WORKING WITH NIKO AND HIS ASSOCIATES. more

""We don't need that money"" 3/14/2006

My mother and I visited Niko's in February and found a beautiful wedding gown that I was sure would be my gown. I looked a few other places I found another dress. Saw the other dress in person, fell in love, decided on gown. Went back to Niko's to offer her the business. She told me that she couldn't order the dress and the company would rather lose thousands of dollars that deal with that designer and that the company does just fine now and doesn't need the money that they would make by dealing with that designer. I took this for they don't need my money since that designer is who I wanted. My sister tried on a bridesmaid gown and before she could get her clothes back on they were turning the lights out and closing up shop!!! Rude, snobby, short, inconsiderate, and UNPROFESSIONAL!!!
