We LOVED it! 1/18/2007

I was here over the weekend with some friends. We just wanted a fun night out and did we get one!! Friendly, professional service, and the food...I highly recommend all of it!! The mussels in cream sauce, the crab cake, the tuna cru, and you MUST try the mini burgers from the bar menu. They were perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned. Did I mention perfect?! Finish up with a chocolate dessert, and don't forget the cocktails! Definitly a great choice! Pros: Service, food quality/creativity, appetizer portions, cocktail menu. more

Whoa!! BRASSERIE STILL DELIVERS!!! 1/17/2007

I cannot believe that after all these years Brasserie still delivers!! Wow to the Rib Eye! The service was great despite the restaurant being packed at around 7:30. Apps were great, the place looked ultra-cool, love the TV's with shots of the guests coming in! Oh, and the desserts were spectacular, save room. Pros: Great food, excellent service, very cool ambiance!! Cons: A little loud at times. more

the only thing we liked about this place was the loaf of bread they put on your table at the begining. 11/17/2006

I was so dissapointed at the food in this restaurant. The service was non existant, we had to return our lobster bisque as it was luke warm at best. Our main courses of bouillabaise was average at best; and we had to return the chocolate beignets as they were totally uncooked inside. It was uncooked chocolate dough. When we told our waiter this, his repply was, Do you know what beignets are?"" i should have answered"" yeah they are fried dough dumplings , but cooked ones, not uncooked. Needless to say, i wont be returning in the near future. Pros: nothing really worth about this restaurant Cons: not worth the price at all more

Overhyped overpriced. 11/12/2006

Went for lunch.Service friendly but slow as molasses. Food was OK but came out cold. Had to ask 3 times for water. Bread was a small baguette plopped down on table without a basket. Pros: Cool looking space. Cons: Everything else more

Had the lunch cost $10.00 I'd return; but at $90.00 for 2 people, there are so many restaurants that are head and shoulders above this place that I won't go back. Pros: Cool looking space. Cons: Everything else more

The Good Reviews Are Scams 11/1/2006

The majority of people who gave this restaurant an EXCELLENT review also gave ""Excellent reviews"" to all of the establishments that are part of RESTAURANT ASSOCIATES...Just look at the Profiles of the reviewers and look at the other restaurants they have reviewed...Its all a scam...I have eaten at the majority of these restaurants and please....How good can they be if they are willing to take $50 off your check for your birthday? Sub-Par at food at best at all of these establishments...What a joke. Pros: scam Cons: scam more

Brasserie: simply the worst service with good food! 10/29/2006

Couple of friends visiting from out of town and always wanted to try this place. The food was well made and flavorful (Rib Eye). The kitchen staff prepared our steak perfectly along with its delicious appetizers. But our server was just bad simply put. I can only use the analogy of giving a gift, a diamond in a card broad box! What went wrong: (1) waiter didnt even know anything about their cocktail (types of vodka available), (2) avoided to check on our table periodically, (3) second wine order didnt come to us until quarter of the way into our entree and (4) we had to wait more then ? hour after our entree were done until our table was cleaned and given our desert menu (which we had to wait again). Go somewhere else - this city has great Brasserie establishments with par food quality with superior service. Pros: Good food Cons: Serves more

Chic atmosphere, impressive food 10/18/2006

The Brasserie is a NYC staple. From their beautiful decor to their creative contemporary French menu, Brasserie never fails to impress. It is definitely a see and be seen kind of place, with its striking glass staircase and urban, chic look. The new fall dinner menu is also outstanding. And don't forget to order dessert! It's a can't miss. more

Go here to see and be seen! 10/11/2006

From the braised lamb cheeks to the confit, everything here is made to perfection! Whenever I'm dressed to impress, I make my way to Brasserie as I'm sure to see and be seen with the best. The decor of the restaurant is so unique. There is a frosted, floor-to-ceiling expanse of floating bottles and the rest of the place is sheathed in pearwood, glass, tile and terrazzo, rife with curves and slanting surfaces. I love it there! Pros: The bar is very impressive Cons: None more

The Unbeatable Brasserie 10/5/2006

this space is AMAZING! i've heard stories of Brasserie and how it was THE hot spot back in the older days, and i can only imagine that it looks 10 times better now. a very clean, futuristic feel. very posh. a lot of other ""brasseries"" have come and gone, but this one will always remain the original. they have a very diverse menu, but i chose the yellowfin tuna. what can i say, im a softie for a good emulsion! and the cheese tasting plates are the way to go for an appetizer. more
