Bick's the Best Food in Broadview 11/23/2010

I don't know why I have not done this before, but my husband and I have been going to Bick's for years. I invite friends and family there whenever I can. The food is always excellent and is a good value. Dan always give us a big smile and a welcome back, and the service from the staff is excellent. I love the crab cakes, corn bread, flat top chicken, and the filet special is always awesome. They have some good wines by the glass that make the meal special. Thanks Dan for being our ""neighborhood spot""! more

WOW!!!! What a GREAT SUPRISE!!! 12/16/2008

We like to try new places to eat at least once a month.... We where driving home down Greenwood from South of GreenLake, trying to find some where to eat... Every place we came across was either really busy or didn't look appetizing... Alomost giving up and going home we came across Bicks.... We ordered a bunch of the small plates...Our usual way of trying a new place out. Anyway.. What a treat!!!! Everthing was just a trill to eat and full of great flavor, and the drinks .... FUN!! FUN!! FUN!! more

Darn Good! 12/3/2008

Past, burgers, salads, fish and more. It's all darn good, and there's plenty on each plate. Not the cheapest place in town, but well worth the price. One of our favorite places, you can't go wrong with the food, and the people are great. Pros: The food Cons: a bit expensive more

All time favorite restaurant 11/6/2008

My hubby and I eat here at least once a week and always have the best dinner. The servers are exceptional and always greet us at the door. Try the firestarter appetizer, flat top chicken, the burger and the mussels are just some of our favorites. The specials are always good too! I tell everyone that lives in the north-end about Bicks! Pros: food, staff, ambiance Cons: non more

great food, great service 2/10/2008

If you're looking for a great steak dinner that won't break the bank, try their sirloin steak w/gorgonzola and mushrooms. I ordered mine medium rare, and it was cooked perfectly. It was so tender and juicy I forgot I was eating sirloin, not filet mignon. I've had steaks that cost 2 or 3X more than theirs and did not taste half as good. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. I topped the dinner off with the blackberry cobbler 'a la mode. It was a nice balance of tart and sweet. The only thing that did not impress me was the flatbread appetizer with habanero salsa. I expected the flatbread to have more flavor. You would definitely not want to eat it without the salsa or various hot sauces at your table. To me, it was just a transfer device to put the salsa and hot sauce in my mouth. Other than that, everything was excellent. Pros: tasty food, great service Cons: parking is limited more

One of our Favorite Spots! 3/4/2007

Phenomenal neighborhood choice when you want good, quality, and inexpensive food but you don't want typical pub grub. Bick's is good for those who stick with the menu basics as well as those who like trying new and exciting entrees. Recommended!!!! more

Eat the Heat 4/5/2006

Bicks is my favorite spot to dine north of 85th. I've never had a meal there that wasn't original and delicious. Contrary to some reports on this site, I've never had bad service. I hosted a birthday party there on a weekday for a group of 14 people and the wait staff graciously accommodated our party and the extras that straggled in. Because it's one of the only nicer places to meet in the neighborhood, Bicks is often really busy and crowded but the ambiance is still relaxed, fun, and non-pretentious. Local celebrities, average Joes, professionals, and families enjoy the amazing food shoulder to shoulder. The manager, Dan, will work hard to make your visit memorable. Pros: Firestarter Appetizer, Specials Board, Veggie Menu Cons: Crowded, Wait times, Grps bad idea Fri/Sat more

My Favorite Restaurant 6/4/2005

My girlfriend saw this recommended by Rachel Rey (the Food Network lady) last year. We tried it out and have been going back at least once a month ever since. The Thai Curry mussel appetizer is the best. Haven't had anything on the menu that I wouldn't order again. The food is all very interesting and tasty. The service is really friendly. They do reservations, have a good beer menu, and great, surprising specials. Pros: variety of food, friendly/fast service, atmosphere Cons: not cheap enough to, eat there every day more

An awsome casual dinning restaurant. 8/13/2004

Bicks is fantastics with good prices excellent plentifull food. The southwest chicken sandwich is the best sandwich around. Cann't say enough good things about this place. Pros: Good food, great prices more

Love/Hate Relationship 6/14/2003

Bick's definitely fills a niche in the Greenwood/North Seattle area. They have great cocktails and food in a fun atmosphere. The service, however, is hit & miss. Sometimes I get really friendly, personable service. But I've also had the most indifferent, if not rude, service there on more than one occasion. I have gone back because of the food, location & atmosphere, but always feel like I'm rolling the dice on what type of service I will receive. I've finally had enough. My last experience was not just disappointing, it was offensive. Bick's and I are over. I'd rather have a sure thing. Pros: Food, Drinks, Atmosphere Cons: Service, "uniforms" more

We Love Bick's! 12/6/2002

You will always feel like a regular when you step inside Bick's. The food is consitantly good and we've never had bad service. What's even better is there's alway free parking in the neighborhood which is why we find ourselves there more than downtown now! Pros: Great service, Great price, Non-smoking Cons: Loud (but homey) more

First timer, big fan 10/13/2002

my hubby dragged me up to bick's, promising fast service and good food and they surely delivered. the appetizer came out within about 2 minutes, and the meals were on the table before we could even finish the appetizer. the seafood pasta dish was incredible - done in a nice, light broth. and they have a veggie menu for all of you non-meat eaters out there. prices were super-low...salmon for $12! 2 full meals with an appetizer and beer came to $34. yum. more

An unexpected gem in the Northgate area 9/2/2002

Bick's has always been a favorite destination for a great burger, and the more often I visit and sample other things on the menu, the more impressed I am. Not everything on the menu works, but the salads, the salmon, the chicken, and the portobello mushroom are fantastic. The bartender makes a mean martini. Only downside is that the tab is pretty hefty for a neighborhood joint. Pros: Great food, Nice waitstaff Cons: Expensive more

Great neighborhood place 8/19/2002

Great neighborhood restaurant/bar. Nice decor, welcoming, very friendly/prompt service. Really good martinis... and big! Great bar staff. Food done well. more

Where everybody knows your name 7/30/2002

Bick's is a great neighbourhood haunt. I love the spicy rock shrimp eggrolls to start. YUM! The falttened chicken is interesting it has goat chees and a balsamic sauce that is melt in you mouth good. The martinis are killer, hit it for happy hour and your breww loving friends can order one of the 40 microbrews and for thos who love 'Tinis they have a grand selection of those as well. Overall we love this place on a weeknight when we are in the mood to venture out! Pros: Good food Cons: Not much parking more
