Great customer service 8/12/2008

Very trustworthy. They could have charged me a lot more, but instead tried a cheaper way of fixing my car and it worked! They not only fixed a current problem on my car they took a look at everything else that was wrong on my car and gave me an estimate on what else needs to be worked on. Appreciate Their Honesty 8/5/2008

I came in thinking that I needed a new tire for sure, as I had been losing air in my tire and another tire store had already looked at it previously. Instead of just agreeing with me, because it could have been possible that I may need a new tire (and I wouldn't have known any better), they called me and told me that they just patched it after finding a nail in my tire and sent me on my way with ZERO money out of pocket! more

fixed my Air Conditioner 8/5/2008

I took my chevy malibu to get the AC worked on. Turns out it was just over charged with freon-so all they had to do was drain the system and re charge it. They were very prompt and I appreciated there honest service more

Ben White Automotive did a great job getting my car repaired and back to me in a timely manner. Their friendliness and honesty was much appreciated. Quality Service, Honest Prices 6/23/2008

Quality service from people who know what they're doing and know how to treat their customers!! Ben White was able to fit me in their schedule without an appt. and got me out that same day. This really shows their priority to help anyone. I was called back when promised, and gotta clear rundown of all that I needed to fix my vehicle. No extra stuff, honest evaluation. I've been around town for auto repairs, but these guys do everything right the first time at a reasonable price. You can bet I'll be back.... more

A Breath of Fresh Air 6/13/2008

I picked up my car from its third visit to Ben White Automotive this morning. My first visit was for a consultation on my A/C. They told me what was wrong and how much it would be to fix. They did a temporary fix about 6 months ago when I couldn't afford the complete A/C makeover. Between that time, I had my Check Engine Light among other warning lights on my panel turn on. Nothing was wrong, just a misfire. Pros: They explain everything slowly and in detail so you know exactly what's going on and what you're paying for. Cons: ...? more

Good service on AC repair 6/4/2008

My Kia needed a compressor replaced right after the warranty expired. Oscar was very straight-forward and helpful. They were quick to get the parts from Kia and helpful with arranging when I should come in so that I could minimize my time waiting in the shop while I was away from work. The total price came in slightly under the original estimate. I'll go back there next time I need something. A bit on the expensive side but very thorough and informative. They explain to you everything that is wrong, why it's wrong, exactly what they're going to do to fix it, and how important it is that it be fixed. I had a whole host of junk wrong with my car and not a lot of money and they helped me set priorities (what had to be done now vs. what could wait a year or two w/o making my car explode). more

Very good Auto work 5/21/2008

I had my brakes done here and they actually charged me LESS than they quoated -how often do you get that. They always do fair work -always call before they proceed and usually very fast -these guys are great. more

If you find yourself needing automotive repairs I would strongly suggest you try Ben White Automotive. They have been working with my Infiniti QX4 for the last two years. Honest work and fair prices. Cons: I live by Lake Travis so they are pretty far away. more

Honest Shop 5/19/2008

I just moved to Austin 6 weeks ago and dreaded finding a reliable honest mechanic. Generally it's a pretty painstaking process. After my car failed inspection at Jiffy Lube one of the mechanics there recommended Ben White Automotive. I took him up on his advice and was so pleased with the service at Ben White Automotive! They were very forthright and honest and completed the work on my car in a very timely fashion. I was so delighted They are definitely my go to auto shop! more

Good honest repairs 5/15/2008

The guys there are super honest. i took my car in and was not pressured to have ""extra"" work done. only what was needed. the work was top notch! This is not the kind of service you find at the big chains. I will take any work i need done back to these guys. Did i mention fast they were able to fix my car in less than 24 hrs. more

I found Ben White Auto South lives up to their reputation. I took my mini van in for an oil change and overall checkup and was told it was in great shape and when it would need it's next oil change.
