I just purchased my new 2012 Camry SE from Beaman Automotive in May; a fantastic automobile from a fantastic dealership. Hat's off to a terrific team; from the sales managers to t...

The service department could use a tune-up, but the sales team (especially Greg Cole) and products are fantastic. I had a relatively simple service request: replace the front pass...

Great experience at this dealership 6/27/2011

One of the best car buying experiences I've had. Very simple and quick. From start to finish, we were done in a couple of hours and if you have kids, you know how valuable time is. I love my new van!! more

No Better Service 6/1/2011

I just got my car back today from the recent hail damage and I just cant tell you how delighted I was with the service from Mark and the team at Beaman Toyota.\r There was no sign of hail dents that were all over my Camry.\r Thanks Beaman!\r Your service after the sale always keeps me coming back. more

What a great experience! 6/1/2011

I hope this isn't to long, but I really want to tell this story! I work in downtown Nashville and needed to have an oil change and my tires rotated (I had a shaking in the front of the car). I pulled into Beaman Toyota on broadway at approximately 7am Weds morning. I meet a service guy named Kenny who was very friendly and got me through writing up my car and quoting me a price (very reasonable). I waited 5 minutes in there very nice waiting area having a cup of coffee and responding to a few emails, when their shuttle van gave me a ride to work. Around 1:30 I received a call from Kenny (my guy) at Beaman telling me that there was a problem with the right front tire causing the shaking (I mentioned above) in the front of the car. Kenny emailed me a few pictures showing how the tire was wearing poorly and needed to be replaced. He told me the other tires were fine and quoted me great price to replace the tire (I checked it out on-line before I said yes). I came in after work to pick up my car which only a took a few minutes. These guys really know how to take care of business. I would recommend them to anyone who needed service for their vehicle!!!!! more

Will buy here again..no doubt!! 6/1/2011

Basically I have always driven a Toyota, and I was hoping to get a new one bc the one I was driving was a few years older than what I wanted. It has been a great car, but I just wanted something new and different. After speaking with a Beaman sales person, Ben Louge, I realized that the Scion was probably more along the lines of what I needed. He addressed my needs and requests in a timely fashion, and with the pure pricing on the Scion, there was no haggling or back and forth. That was great. Great experience overall, and they threw in 2 free years of oil changes as a sweetener. My salesman took pretty good care of me, and I will probably go back and give them a chance when I get ready to buy something else. more

The real story! A great experience! 5/28/2011

being new to town and needing a new car I didn't know where to start. I got online and started reading reviews. Needless to say, Beaman's reviews were not to great. However, I wanted to give them a try. Best dealership ever. Not only was I treated fair,my salesperson Justin George, went way above to make sure I got a great deal. Everyone at Beaman was wonderful. I have sent several friends to Beaman and everyone I know had a great experience there. Give Beaman a chance if you want a great deal and above average customer service!!! more

Unethical 3/20/2011

One day after Beaman told the news media that they were not raising prices on toyotas as a result of the tragedies in Japan, they added $1,000.00 to the sticker prices of their Prius cars. (handwritten on the window stickers). What liars and opportunists these people are... they seem to forget the customer on each and every occasion! more

Off to a bad start, but ended up good. 3/15/2011

In response to my prior complaints, here and elsewhere, Beaman stepped up to the plate, reduced the price on the car commensurate with the increase in interest rate which they could not avoid and offered a number of other benefits in good will to regain our trust. The finance manager made every effort to make amends. For this, I will give him big stars. I will evaluate their service department over the next year and will be fair to offer a positive review as our experience continues to improve. My intial rating was very poor but it turned out excellent. Therefore, I'll put out 3 stars. more

A lesson in anti customer service 12/25/2010

I went to Beaman this past week in hopes of finding a 2010 Tundra. I spent about 2 hours looking with one of the salesmen. I liked the 2010 on the showroom floor but wanted one slightly used for a better deal. He found the exact truck with 6000 miles on it and said he could have it there the next day. He told me what an awesome deal It was getting it at a price of $30,600. \r \r I went home to do some research and within 5 minutes on Beamans web site I found the NEW SHOW ROOM FLOOR TRUCK for $30,550!!!\r With this knowledge I returned 2 days later to negotiate for the used truck.\r \r I had every intention of walking out with the used truck for as much as $28,000 or just buying the showroom floor truck at its internet price.\r I asked my sales guy to get me an itemized bill of EVERYTHING that would be in the final price of the used truck so I would have a starting point for negotiating and they could not add on extras after I offered them a lower price.\r \r After being gone for well over 20 minutes he returned with BJ Futrell ( the internet sales manager) and informed me that BJ would take over from here. I sat down with BJ and he started to go over the itemized bill. I stopped him and said, ""I'll look over it, I just need to know if this bill has ALL charges for the final bill.""\r \r He then proceeded to tell me it was just missing some taxes, indoc fee, ect... I was rather irritated at this point and informed him that I had just waited 20 minutes and did not get what I had requested. He told me know problem, he'd just write in the extra costs with his ink pen. I refused and said I wanted the bill in a typed format. \r \r After going back and forth on the issue a couple times and being referred to (in his irritated voice) as ""man"" rather than sir or by my name, BJ proceeded to roll his eyes, sigh and get up to go do what I had asked for (about half an hour earlier at this point)\r .\r At this point I was not happy with his lack of customer service so I went ahead and let him know that I knew they were trying to sell me a used truck for more than they were asking for the exact same new truck on the showroom floor. Then he told me (again in an irritated voice) that the price was not set in stone and I could make a lower offer. Duh!!\r \r I offered $25,000. I knew he would not take it but I figured it was no more of an insult than what they tried to pull on me and we'd have a starting point for negotiating.\r \r He let out a smart ass laugh and said ""NO"" \r I walked out and never heard another word from them.\r Again.... I planned on driving one of those trucks home but the customer service was so horrific it just couldn't happen.\r \r Also, every time the sales guy had to leave my sight to do anything, he was gone atleast 10 to 15 minutes (smoke break maybe??) \r \r Unacceptable.\r \r more

Beaman Scion 6/22/2010

As far as car dealerships go they are OK. The are at least trying to make you happy. The Scion brand has fixed pricing so they could not get too snaky I suppose, but still they were nice enough. Overall they were the better choice of other Scion dealerships available to me and have been friendly post sale as well. Pros: Friendly, attention to detail Cons: They are a car dealership- they all are snaky more

Thieves... 8/21/2009

Now, I never purchased a car from any Beaman dealership, but that's not gonna stop me from writing a review based on an experience I had with them. I was involved in a rear-end collision in my Pontiac Sunbird and had the car towed to Beaman Pontiac to get a repair estimate for insurance purposes. I was on my way to school when this happened. I removed everything I could remove. I told the wrecker driver that I would be coming to Beaman to get my stereo equipment out. Come to find out, when I got there, they already had it out. In other words, they stole it all. I asked them where the stuff was, and they said they didn't know. They claimed they don't steal, but someone certainly did. So, until they pay me back for my stolen stereo equipment, I will never buy from them. Nor will I EVER recommend anyone else do so. Pros: I have never bought a car there. Cons: Yes, ""cons"" is a good way to describe the staff. more

don't seem to care about customers 8/19/2009

We just recently moved to Nashville and bought a brand new scion TC before the move. Not long after getting down here it was time for our first oil change. We have been trying to get in touch with Beaman for weeks to make an appointment. Their receptionist doesn't know what she's talking about & tells you she is connecting you to maintenance, which just brings you to an answering machine. That is only if you are lucky enough to have them answer the phone at all! Then after reading these reviews we called Rivergate and they got us right in & were very friendly! more

Bait and switch at its best... 7/15/2009

I purchased a car here and wished I wouldn't have. We came to an agreement on the price of a new car, and then when I went to sign on the dotted line they told me that they didn't have that car anymore. \r I called because of a problem I was having with my car, and no one returned my call. \r I will never buy a car from this place again...you shouldn't either.... Cons: salespeople are rude here... more

Worst experience with Micah at Beaman Toyota in Nashville 10/7/2008

We went to Beaman to buy an FJ Cruiser. At first our sales person Micah was very helpful in showing us the car and talking numbers. Then he quoted us 20k , with a dvd player on a used one, we agreed. When we got to sign the paperwork he'd changed it to 21k saying that he actually meant 20k PLUS a dvd player, which would be 21k.\r \r We decided this wasn't what we wanted to do at this point. Micah threw a huge fit in the parking lot, telling my husband that he'd come in on his day off, that he was not being misleading, that he had a sick wife at home and how could we do this to him.\r \r We left.\r \r We bought at car at Alexander Toyota. Best experience with them.\r \r Micah recently emailed and when we told him we'd gone somewhere else, he sent a rude email back to us.\r Give me a break .This is not how you win customers, Micah.\r \r When the Beaman sales manager calls me again - which he has every week since we've been there to see if we've bought the car yet - I am going to tell him how much business you have lost for him with your terrible customer service and bad attitude. My brother has expressed interest in buying a Toyota Sequoia and we were going to point him up to Beaman until we had this terrible experience. Do yourself a favor and spend your money with Alexander. Ask for Marshall. Great customer service, no pressure and we got a fantastic deal.\r \r Pros: they had inventory Cons: bad attitude, was very misleading and shady, bad customer service more

Bad experience with Service Dept. 4/9/2008

I have purchased 2 4-Runner's from Beaman Toyota and am a firm believer in having the maintenance done on them when required and recommended. I have been to the Service department several times over the years for Oil changes and other repairs. Recently, I went to the Service Dept. for an Oil Change and was told that I had to have an appointment. I told the service rep that I have never made an appointment. He was very rude to me and told me I would have to leave.\r \r So I left, fuming.... Drove straight to Rivergate Toyota where I was treated very nicely and will be returning there for all of my service needs along with future purchases.\r \r Beaman lost another customer here because of their rude service dept. more

Good experience buying Prius 2/19/2008

We bought a Prius from Beaman last November (of '07) and had a great experience. They were very knowledgeable about their product and after we bought our car- we even came back to get help with the navigation system. We had some glitches with paperwork and them getting us our registration (which was supposed to be renewed) but after some patience and persistence, it all worked out. I am sure we'll buy from them again.\r Good luck :) Pros: convenient location, knew product Cons: took a long time to be able to get a Prius more

Service department is the worst! 10/15/2007

I took my truck in for repair. Picked it up was told it was fixed. Mark Taylor was listed as the tech who did the repair. I got it home and was looking it over and discovered components loose, leaking and inproperly installed. I am mechanically inclined. The only reason I took the truck to Beaman, was the parts and labor were supposedly covered by a recall. (Of course, the recall did not cover all costs. ) I called the Service Dep. Manager who blew me off. I took the truck back to Beaman, confronted the tech about his shoddy work, and he got all defensive, because he knew he was busted, but ""Management "" did nothing to fix this problem. \r Before this incident, I had purchased my last 3 vehicles at Beaman. NO MORE. \r This is directly for Mr. Lee Beaman, president of Beaman Automotive.....\r \r Mr. Beaman, I hope you enjoy your $250 you got for this ""repair"". It has cost you thousands in profits from future purchases. Way to treat your customers!!! Also, another word of advice.... The service techs might get some work done properly if all of them were not up front sniffing on the female service reps. \r GOODBYE FOREVER,\r PREVIOUSLY LOYAL CUSTOMER WHO GOT SCREWED!!!!!!\r Pros: Toyota is a quality product, but get it and the service elsewhere. Cons: Poor repair work, worse customer service, service techs and reps not professional. more

Shady salesperson 1/14/2007

I went to Beaman end of Dec 2005 wanting to buy a car. The sales person came quickly to assist me and my friend. After decided whether I wanted a new car or a used one. I decided that I wanted a 2006 LE Toyota Corolla. The sales person who I didnt even remember the name was very shady. He tried to get me agreed on buying an overpriced car. He didnt want to explain how the interest works and laughed at us when we made an offer. Chris and I were not very happy with him especially when he left us to talk to someone 'inside' numerous times about our offer for a long time. He was very pushy and said we would regret not getting the offer (which was the one that was overpriced). I would suggest that anyone who would want to buy a car would consider asking about the interest instead of getting the price that you could afford to pay monthly because the interest could be way over what you could get as the best deal. Always asked the price and the interest and then divided up to how many month your financing is and that is how much you need to pay. Beaman caused big dissappointment to me on my very first car purchased. Later on, someone else called me Jan 2006 asking me whether I wanted to get a car from them. I told them that I already got a car from Toyota of Murray and didnt like the sales person. He told me that he was fired (I dont even know whether that is correct). Beaman didnt get any business from me and I would not recommend them to anyone. I would suggest that if you would ever want a Toyota, go to Rivergate Toyota. They are trustworthy and I love the way they do their business. I didnt get any car from them because I was faded up with the Nashville dealerships (mainly caused by Beaman). Then, you see so much probably not because you save so much. So be careful. I think the reason why people got tricked so much is because they want something so badly and do poor research. Don't be in a hurry when you try to buy big purchase, you could regret it years later. Pros: It is close to downtown, easily accessible Cons: Shady dealership/salesperson more

Best car buying experience ever!!!!!!!! 10/16/2006

I was in need of a new vehicle and ended up going to Beaman's. My wife was able to work out a very good deal and the salesman was more than willing to talk to me on the phone while working out a sale with my wife. We were able to get what we wanted for our trade in and were given all of the incentives that they could find. There were even some obscure incentives that we qualified for on top of the advertised ones. The whole process was very enjoyable and would recommend them to everyone. Pros: Service, patience, ease of sale Cons: parking more

Terrible customer service 6/15/2006

I currently had my car repaired at Beaman Toyota and was ""helped"" by Corky. First of all, they charged me $90 just to diagnose my car. Then they tell me that if the part that they ""cleaned"" defaults again, I will have to replace it for only $1,000! Of course, a month later my car stops on the side of the road and I have to get towed to their dealership. Corky was not helpful at all, and did not provide me any alternatives to replacing the part. He also seemed to be the only person who didn't think that this was unusual, and that a three year old Camry should not have a malfunctioning throttle! \r Four days, and $1,100 later my car was finally fixed. When I called a corporate number to complain, I found out that the throttle was recalled and was under warrenty!! HOW DOES A DEALER CHARGE PEOPLE FOR PARTS THAT ARE RECALLED! How could no one have known that this part was under warrenty by Toyata, and how many other people have blindly been charged for parts that should have been free?! I was refunded my money, but I will NEVER go to Beaman Toyota for anything again! Pros: shuttle service, helpful manager Cons: not trustworthy more
