I bought a car here KNOWING why I had to choose a used car lot: I messed up my credit and had no other option to get a car. I KNEW the interest rate would be a bit higher and that the cars may have problems. They treated me pretty good here. I know if there's a problem they will help me fix it because-if we treat each other decently-why wouldn't they? These reviews I'm seeing are absolutely ridiculous. If I don't make my payments they will take the resulting actions-one plus one ALWAYS equals two. I don't see any problems as long as I make my payments-other than that it's up to me as an adult to take care of the rest. more

09/20/10 \r I was looking for two days for a car that I wanted and was unable to find it until I went to Austin's. I was able to find a car that I wanted and not that someone pushed me into. The salesman Darrell was very kind and helpfull. He made the car that I bought in perfect condition before pulling off the lot. 9-28-10\r my friend went and bought a car at austins autos for 999.00 as- is. that evening it broke down.\r 9-29-10\r i was furiouse. went back with his car in tow to confront what i thought was a dis-honest deal.\r \r we were treated with respect and kindness despite our rudeness. not only that but they financed my friend a better car (which is an understatement) for a deal that was un-real!\r \r plus a100% refund on an as-is car! My wife and I we went to Austin's auto in hopes to find a car because I blown the motor on my truck and we needed a used car. They were very helpful. Not only did they give us a very good price on a mini van, but they took my truck in on trade at a very good price. I will be back there to get another car. love my tahoe. was in and out in an hour. they financed me when nobody else would. rob was very helpful and got me a loan no problem. very resonablly priced. would recommend them to anyone.. word of advice to people buying a used car. it is a USED car if you are looking to purchase a new car, purchase a new car! there is always going to be something with a used car no matter if you buy it from dick hannah themselves. My boyfriend and I just went in there today and had a great experience. It was about the sixth place we had been to today and by far, gave us the best treatment. Our sales guy was great and the owner gave us all the needed details. They even had problems on running my card at first and the owner took care of it. We would have never been able to go somewhere and get bank financing. I have a pending divorce and he has no credit. We really need a second car and found the perfect one for our family. We were in and out in less than an hour. They take car of all the DEQ and DMV. We got a great price on the Land Rover. I am so happy with it. Thank you guys so much! I just made my 11th payment at this place. I bought a car here a year ago. The fat lady at the office was not very nice. that is my only complaint. I guess she doesnt work there any more. I bought a chev Z71. It was cheap. It has high miles , but has been a good truck. I make my payments on time. I was late twice. The first time, they did not charge me, the second time i payd $40 for 2 days. High I think, but its in my contract and i was late. I am posting at the managers request . He showed me about 25 file draws full of thousands of customer files. He said no one takes the time to post when they are happy. So here is a post. My name is jon, its a 98 chev z71, i still drive it everyday, and its a good truck. I have friends who have bot lotsa cars there, one friend has bot more than 10 cars. they have great deals, and do finance just about anybody. they financed me after even the places that say they finance anyone turnd me down. Your logic is flawed-I am a real customer, who just made my payment and was asked ""do you like us, do you like your car?"" I answered yes to both and was asked to post a review telling my true story. Matt, the manager, walked me to a storage room and showed me files of over 20,000 sales folders-each a different customer. The stock numbers on the reviews are so we can get $20 credit off our next payment for telling our story as happy customers. He said 26,000 sales and only the 6 or 8 really pissed off people who had a bad experience post reviews. he told me not to lie or embelish, but to tell what I actually believed. Anybody in their right mind knows that used cars have flaws-use your brains people. If we had stellar credit there would be no need to use in-house financing to get a car. I got a decent runner with a low down payment and managable monthly payments, one of the sales guys asked me to post a good review so I figured I would. I knew what I wanted, I knew what kind of money I had, and I was really surprised the financed me on such a decent car, I think some people aren't realistic about what 800 dollars can buy you. If you are realistic and need some help getting a car this is the place for you. more

I just got a divorce, and my wife ruined my credit. I couldn't get financed anywhere, and I only had 500.00 to put down. There was no pressure from the sales people. Although we had to jump the car because it had been sitting for a while, I got a steal of a deal. I have had no problems with my truck, and I will go back when I buy my second car. Pros: I had no way too get finaced Cons: I needed a new battery more

After reading the reviews for Austin Affordable Autos, I thought I better write one too. I drove onto the lot, had exactly what I was going to spend for a down payment in my pocket, and a good idea of what I was looking for. The salesman, Robert, came out to greet me after about ten minutes and my wife and I were looking at a beat up Piece of junk of a Chevy pick-up. It wasn't having a very good time on the test drive, smoking, and lurching, not to mention the interior was horrible. Robert was telling us that the truck was in sad shape, and it needed a lot of work. I moved away from it as we parked it. My wife went looking around the lot and we found a GREAT Dodge Dakota, right in our price range, perfect bed, super clean interior and even had a good cd player. Yet they had to jump it to get it started, and jump it to keep it running, meaning a new battery. They actually made a deal with us to fix the entire exhaust system after a subtle hint that we would look elsewhere. Did I mention it was either the exhaust or the rear window that they would fix, not both? Anyway, they did the repairs on the truck for us, I picked it up a couple days later. A week later we took the truck to California. It was the best running truck I have ever driven. Did awesome in the snow in December, both in Vancouver and Portland. To date it hasn't let me down not once. And as far as Austin's customer service, they have been pretty cool with us. Our payments are made on time, the truck is running great and its getting ready for a trip to Colorado in March. I expect the trip to go well. thank you Austin's for helping us add the tuck to our family. Pros: They have alot of cars to pick from, and they are affordable. Cons: You get what you pay for, and thats the bottom line cause Stone Cold said so!! more
