best laser hair removal centers 7/13/2008

I found Assara Laser Centers through internet research. I googled several new york centers and read a few online forums and review websites. I've read numerous complaints and bad reviews on many of the other big name laser hair removal centers in manhattan. Still, I wanted to find out for myself. I called at least four of the centers whose names "popped up" frequently in my online research. I also visited two including Assara. Hands down, Assara was the best for my telephone consultation and questions, and for my visit. I received two bikni treatments so far, and am now considering having underarm treatments done. I've also referred a friend, who receives full-body treatments in their unlimited program. The manager at Assara gave me a gift card and thanked me for my referral. I felt like an appreciated client here. I recommend that anybody who is researching laser hair removal try what I did, make a few phone calls, and see if there is a stand-out winner. Assara will definitely be in your top-two list. Pros: managment gave me a free gift card when i referred a friend. i feel like an appreciated client here. more

Highly Recommend -- Staff makes you comfortable 7/10/2008

I attended Assara's open house on wednesday July 2. not only did they provide FREE food and drinks, but they had three of their specialists there and two of their managers available to ask questions. cynosure, the company that makes their laser systems, also sent two representatives to talk to the open house attendees. i can't imagine that another laser center in new york could put on such an event. i learned a lot and purchased a package on the spot. My first treatment was a week ago, and I'm so happy with results so far. THANKS FOR THE OPEN HOUSE. I WOULD NOT HAVE PURCHASED WITHOUT THE INFORMATION SESSIONS THERE. Best Laser System -- Cynosure Apogee Elite, Staff is customer-service oriented 7/10/2008

I've received IPL (intense pulsed light) treatments from several laser hair removal centers in Miami. I recently moved to New York, and found that IPL treatments did not provide effective results. I know American Laser Centers used IPL, as that's where I received my prior treatments. Ever since my hair began to regrow, I did additional research and found out that it is important that your laser hair removal center actually uses a TRUE LASER, and not an IPL system. The laser system at Assara is the most-comprehensive on the market, according to its manufacturer. I've been satisfied with my results, and I've found the staff at Assara to be very friendly, informative and customer service oriented. super satisfied with removal of my spider veins 7/10/2008

I had spiderveins concentrated in a few spots on my legs, the back of my knees, my calves and on my feet. i work as a waitress and as a receptionist, and apparently, extended periods of time standing without a break and sitting without a break to walk as my jobs require create these unattractive spider veins. i met with elizabeth at assara, who helped me to troubleshoot the cause of these blemishes. she also gave me a few recommendations on how to avoid them in the future. i tried three sessions to remove the veins, and have had stellar results. my sessions have taken approximately 30 minutes per visit. my appointments began promtply on time. all in all, i'm most pleased im getting results in such little time. i'll continue to have treatments. provides intelligent answers to questions on telephone and in-person consultation 7/9/2008

I have been consistently impressed with the staff at Assara Laser Hair Removal Specialists. As recommended from my internet research on laser hair removal, I was prepared with many questions to ask before I scheduled my first consultation. I found that many laser hair removal centers in New York are unwilling or unable to have a discussion on the phone about the effectiveness of laser hair removal and about the differences between the centers in New York. I spoke to Mark on the telephone, and he answered each of my questions with detail and with no hesitation. I highly recommend that anybody seeking an excellent laser hair removal center, at the very minimum, give Assara a phone call. available treatment sessions during lunchtime are convenient 7/9/2008

Wonderful laser hair removal center in midtown. I went for a lower legs and bikini treatment and had such a nice experience. The specialists treated me quickly, professionally, and we even shared a few laughs during the treatment. I work in midtown, and find that lunchtime treatment sessions are the most convenient for me. recommend bikni line if you go to the beach 7/9/2008

i received a bikini line treatment so that i wouldnt have to spend time grooming each weekend before going to the beach. its not that grooming is always too time-consuming, but i wanted to save the time and effort so that i could spend more time relaxing. the treatments were very effective, and gave me the same results as waxing. my experience was overall very good, and i'm quite pleased with the treatment results. i'm not sure how many treatments are necessary, but i've had three treatments, and have noticed a dramatic decrease in the number of hairs that grow back in between treatments. it looks like i'm about 50% hairless. the remaining hairs are thinner and less noticeable with each treatment. i'm pleased. I never thought I'd end up saying this, but I really :OVE being smooth. Before coming to Assara, I went to two other laser hair removal places in midtown, but I honestly found that Assara was the most professional and had the most experienced specialists around. Another thing I found was that some of the other places only did laser hair removal; Assara had specialists that had experience in laser facials and skin tightening. Anyhow, I thought my experience was awesome and would recommend to anyone looking to do laser hair removal or laser facials in Manhattan. ps. I joined their $599/month unlimited program. I am so happy that I had laser hair removal of my underarms and facial hair. It took 3 treatments to see dramatic then three further treatments to complete the process for permanent reduction. I am pleased that Assara provides its treatments in a medical-style office; rather than a retail-style space, so that i'm comfortable that any questions or issues i may have will be addressed immediately by medical and laser hair removal professionals. I received a back hair treatment from Gina. Before coming here, I'd read a favorable editorial review about assara in a new york magazine. The review emphasized Assara's laser systems, the Apogee Elite. I understand that laser system provides rapid effective service. I have no complaints. My consultation provided me with enough information for me to become comfortable receiving a treatment. Effective treatment - have had lasting results for the past year, recently decided to have additional areas treated 7/6/2008

I came to Assara Laser approximately one year ago to receive a bikini-line treatment. I was treated by their specialist Elizabeth. Elizabeth consulted with me and explained the process of laser hair removal. The process requires six treatment sessions, which are spaced approximately one month apart. Prior to my first sessions, I shaved as normal. Within two weeks after my first session, the hair which would normally have grown out into stubble, merely fell out. I waited approximately four to six weeks, in between my sessions, with little hair growth. After some hair began to come in, my next treatment session would occur. In between sessions, I was virtually hair-free. I've had six sessions and have had lasting results for the past year. I recently returned to Assara for their Open House last week. There, I also decided to have my under-arms treated. I still request Elizabeth for each of my treatments. more

Best for on-the-telephone informative answers regarding laser hair removal treatments 7/6/2008

Before trying laser hair removal, I wanted to learn more about the treatments and expected results by asking questions on the telephone. Most places that I called were not willing to have a telephone consultation and discussion with me. I sought a laser hair removal treatment on my full legs, for which a package was not inexpensive. I called 5 places and asked the following questions: 1. best and worst case expected results, 2. difference between IPL and laser systems, 3. advantages and disadvantages of package versus individual treatment sessions and 4. can I receive treatments during the summer when I am tan. At Assara, I received direct answers and even more information than I expected, which led me to schedule a consultation (short answers: 1. 80-95% total permanent reduction in hair 2. IPL is a flashlamp rather than a laser and cannot provide lasting results, 3. 15-20% less cost, 4. yes - laser has settings for light, tan and dark skin). The phone conversation gave me a stand-out indication in the difference between laser centers. I currently am a client. clean and comfortable medispa center, informative and open management and staff, received complimentary treatment at Open House 7/2/2008

Yesterday, I attended their "Open House." The event was quite informative. The center's atmosphere was very clean and professional. There is a comfortable reception area, a large consultation room, two treatment rooms, and a large conference room, in which I viewed a 5 minute video short about laser hair removal. At the open house, I received an introduction to the decision-making process behind laser hair removal, met two managers, two treatment specialists, and a representative from the laser system company Cynosure. The reception area was filled with guests (and food was provided!). I highly recommend Assara to anybody searching for helpful information regarding the effectiveness of laser hair removal. ive had a photofacial and my legs treated a few times and everytime I have had AMAZING service.... and the place is sooo much nicer than a few other places i looked at before deciding on Assara. I've received treatments at Assara for over a year now. After I completed sessions on my bikini-line, I was quite satisfied, and wanted to further sessions on my underarms. Great place for laser hair removal 3/25/2008

I visited a few places before deciding on Assara Laser for my laser hair removal treatment. For me this was the best place: their location was perfect so I could nip across in my lunch break, the clinic was spotless, the lasers looked new and they could fit appointments into my schedule. But the best thing for me was the technician who treated me: she was a perfectionist (I had the full body treatment) and she wasn't satisfied until I was fully zapped! i enrolled in assara's unlimited program, which seemed to be the best package for me, given that i wanted to find a center that would treat almost my entire body. the consultation was very informative. I've been coming in twice a month for the past 3 months on my lunch breaks since i work in mid-town. the treatments helped give me confidence. i've been to the beach once now that its March. being smooth with no stubble anywhere really helped me -- i used to feel like everybody was paying attention to my excess hair. i think its worth it to have a consultation. even if in the end you decide not to do the treatments, you'll at least know that you're not alone with your hair problems.
