I have been going to this center for 2 months now. I love that I got immediate results after my first treatment. Before trying laser hair removal, I didn't know that after my first session, **all** of the hair on the treated area would disappear. Its not until 5 weeks later that hairs started to grow back, and it was clear that the treatments were working. The hairs that were growing back were thinner, and much more sparse. Assara is a really great clinic! 5/19/2009

I heard laser hair removal works best with dark hair on light skin, but I learned at Assara that darker skin and lighter hair works too. Anyway, I wasn't sure what the results would be... but they were spectacular! Unwanted hair on my face have magically vanished. I used to pluck all those unwanted hair- and so often! I strongly suggest checking up Assara. I am very glad I came and had my treatments done here. I am having a treatment done at Assara today and I'm looking forward. I'm around half way done my treatments. I am very pleased with my results. I have extremely soft skin, thanks to lasering. Cost can definitely be an issue but if you can afford it, go for it! I don't think Assara prices are costly in comparison to other clinics. The machines they use are top- that I found out! I've had lasering done at Assara Laser for a while now. I am grateful to those who encouraged me to actually get myself down here and do those treatments. I can't say I felt like I needed to get lasering done but now that I have, I can't imagine my life without it. I am so much more confident about my body and so much happier. I began treatments less than 6 months ago. I had a most fantastic friendly, bright, kind technician. Much of the experience has to do with the technician. I find Assara cares for their clients and really wants to please them. The reasonably low costs for treatments is a huge plus. I am very satisfied with my results. I am very happy with Assara laser hair removal. I can't compare other clinics to this one but I can say that I am impressed with the results of my treatments. Assara is flexible with scheduling which makes it easy to find time throughout the day to have treatments done. Assara is very accomadating and my technician is super caring. Overall, great clinic. Depends on what you are seeking? If silky smooth skin, Assara may just be the place to visit. I had several treatments and can say that I'm very pleased with the results. I've been ashamed of my body hair and now I can flaunt my body around. A great place for skin rejuvenation and lasering! 5/10/2009

I heard about microdermabrasion and I guess I was not that excited about it at first. I tried it anyway and right away I received a compliment on my skin. I had it done again and this time I really saw vibrant skin. I was shown the dead skin that was removed- it was a lot. It was a painless procedure. I also had laser hair removal done at Asara and was VERY happy with the results. If you want baby soft skin, I recommend laser hair removal treatments. You can see amazing results immediately!! A professionally run clinic that doesn't steal your money 5/10/2009

Honestly, I was scared to have any lasering done on my body. Some family members of mone had some treatments and I guess I wanted some too. I went to Assara which is where they had lasering done and I can't explain how happy I am that I did. I suggest researching the unlimited package they offer. I had some lasering done recntly and am very please with the results. My sister in law had some laseing done - I'm not sure where and didn't seem to have been satisfied with it. Perhaps it has to do with where you go. I'm not sure. All I know is that I've been going to Assara and the results have been spectacular! Pros: comfortable, well worth the money! more

I just posted a review but wasn't able to see it. I am writing again as I really want people to knwo about the laser hair removal clinic I had my laser treatments done. Some people are self-concious about their weight, I was uncomfortable with my unwanted hair. I never really felt confortable wearing a bathing suit before without shorts on top. I can't believe the way I used to have to feel because of the hair around my bikini area and on my face. I am thrilled to have gone to Assara. NO complaints. Thank you Assara. Excellent Results on my Bikini Line - Ask for Elizabeth 5/3/2009

I had the worst case of ingrowns around my bikini area that I was even afraid to have it seen and noticed on the beach or at my healthclub's swimming pool. Waxing worked pretty well, but its difficult for me to set aside time every two weeks for a waxing session, as I frequently work and have family responsibilities with my two children and husband. A friend of a friend referred me to Elizabeth, my specialist at Assara, to have a consultation for permanent hair reduction sessions. Liz did a great job of explaining the process, but I wasn't sure if it would work or not. Liz gave me several references of her clients, who said they would be willin to discuss the treatments and results with me. Speaking to them made me very comfortable. After my first two treatments, the skin around my bikini area amazingly smooth. I have done two treatments and the results are already amazing. It has changed my life. Laser Hair Removal 101 . . . . 5/3/2009

I initially called Assara because of their reviews here on Citysearch. People stated how this center is very knowledgeable and professional, they were 100% correct. When I first called up the gentleman that took my call knew almost everything about Laser Hair Removal, techniques, technology, procedure, etc.... I knew nothing and now I feel I can talk to others and educate them as I have been. I didn't know that there were several machines/wavelenghts out there for certain skin types and treatment types. I also learned that Lasers are specific to hair removal and IPLs are not and not as effective. Suprisingly a lot of centers are using IPLs because they are very inexpensive equipment to purchase. Well I don't want cheap on my skin or face. I have just finished my third treatment on my legs and let me tell you I have discovered my baby skin again, sooo smooth. Easy to do . . . ! 5/3/2009

After starting my treatments 3 months ago I am so please I made this decision. It is so easy to do and much more time efficient that wasting a whole morning shaving, knowing you will have to start over again. My legs are virtually hair free now and my bikini has a few more treatments left. You don't understand how easy it is until you try it! more

Just Finished My Sixth And Final Hair Removal Session 4/30/2009

I finished my Laser Hair Removal treatments this summer on my legs and bikini area. After 6 sessions, I saw a fantastic result and my legs and bikini area are smooth and clean now. It was not so painful on the legs, but the bikini area I felt a tingle sensation, maybe a little more than I had expected. But the good thing is my technician was very comforting throughout the whole treatment. Laser saves a lot of money and time and I am very glad that I received treatment when I did -- I am now happily married and my husband loves it. It saves you from those awful razor bumps that look terrible in a bikini or nice lingerie. more

Assara Laser Cosmetics (the one on 7 west 51st) is great. I am a shy 22 year old guy & was treated very well by the attendant. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed.
