I was born a hairy girl. I?ll admit it. Hairy on my arms, hairy on my legs, hairy on my sideburns. It?s something I?ve struggled with my whole life. Finally, now at 25, I discovered laser hair removal. After a consultation at Assara I knew things would never be the same for me. The specialists at Assara are so professional and understanding. They actually make the experience relaxing. I?ve had 4 laser sessions over the spring and I?m so excited to reveal my hairless body on the boardwalk in Atlantic City! Best Laser Center in NYC 6/15/2009

I don?t usually write reviews but I have to say that Assara is the best laser clinic in NYC. I?m just about to complete my treatments on my bikini area, arms and underarms and my skin has never been smoother or looked nicer. I used to be completely embarrassed to take off my shirt at the beach or even get close with guys, now I?m like ?check me out!?. At this point I?m a laser hair removal specialist! I started some treatments in Phoenix and when I moved to NYC in April I immediately started to look for a laser place to continue my treatments. I went to a laser place downtown and was a little turned off by the ambiance and staff. It?s nice to have relaxing music and try to make like you?re an upscale spa, but you have to follow it up with great services and amazing laser technicians. When I went to Assara I knew I had found a professional clean laser clinic. The girls who do the lasering are experts and the services are done in clinically clean rooms. I?m just finishing up my treatments on my bikini and under arms at Assara and I would for sure recommend people check it out. You can?t beat the price? Or the level of service. Five Stars for Assara 6/15/2009

I found Assara through a referral from a co-worker friend who had laser hair removal there last year, around this time. In the past, I went to two other centers in New York and one in New Jersey, where I live. After trying those other places I was frustrated with the customer service, availability and pricing. I am so glad to have heard from my friend that Assara was an excellent center in the city. Laser Facial Faded my Sunspots Away! 6/15/2009

This winter I spent some time in Florida and came back with some embarrassing (and annoying!) sunspots. I had read that getting laser facials would help to remove them or at least make them less noticeable. My friend had a laser hair removal session on her upper lip at Assara and told me they also micro-dermabrasion and laser facials. I?m had about 3 sessions now and you can barely see that I had sun spots to begin with. What a lifesaver! You have to try laser facials and micro-dermabrasion if you want your skin to glow and look more even. Try Assara, you won?t regret it. Pros: sunspots faded quickly more

I have been going to Assara for about 8 months now and I am very happy with my results and the unlimited program. Before I decided to sign up for their program I did extensive research on the available technology out there and they have one of the best lasers on the market, I believe its spelled CYNOSURE. My first treatment had the hairs popping out immediately, most of them did, and after a few weeks the rest of the hair shedded out and it was very smooth. Angela and Elizabeth provided my treatment sessions and they both gave me outstanding service with reminder calls the day prior to my appointment, and follow-up phone calls to make certain that I was happy. Although occasionally, I would stop by for a quick touch-up appointment during lunch time, I would recommend that you make an appointment, rather than do a walk-in, as I've found that Assara can be very busy at certain times. I'm impressed with the results! 6/15/2009

Initially, when I visited Assara, I came to laser my legs. I don't normally take pain well, and I was scared. I heard both that it does hurt and that it doesn't. What was I to expect? Perhaps you have to know where to go and to which technician! I had such an awesome lady technician who did such a thorough job. I was left with baby soft hairless skin. Showering is so much more enjoyable now that I don't have to constatly worry about shaving. From my legs I worked myself up to my bikini, stomach and under arms. Thanks to Assara, I feel so much more free! Pros: reasonable prices more

No more 'mustache' - Thanks! 6/15/2009

I would never admit that I had a ?mustache?, but after my mother and a close friend commented on my upper-lip hair situation I knew I had to do something about it. I thought about waxing? But the idea of seeing stubble when it grew back was just too gross. I always thought laser hair removal was too painful and too expen$ive, but when I called Assara I realized that it wouldn?t make a huge dent in my budget. I?ve done 3 laser sessions to remove the hair now, and my ?mustache? is a thing of the past. My boyfriend even commented that something looked beautiful and different on my face. Assara Center is Calm Clean and Welcoming 6/15/2009

Assara Center is calm, clean, and welcoming. During my consultation, my specialist explained very clearly to me the process. I felt that the staff at Assara cared about and understood the reasons why I wanted to have certain superfluous hairs on my lip and chin removed. I didn't feel like I was rushed or being "sold" a service. The best part, however, wasn't the consultation, it was the results! Great prices, great service, great center. Highly recommended. Walked into Assara a few months ago hoping to be brave enough to get myself lasered. I have gone back since and all I can say is that I've had great experiences there. The technicians are knowlegable and you can address any concerns you may have to them. Tip: Angela does a really good thorough job. Best Center in Manhattan 6/15/2009

I have been a client of Assara for a year now. I have recently seen some very great improvements in their practice, so I thought I'd share them. About a year ago when I started, my Specialist Angela impressed me with her knowledge of laser treatments, and her pleasant and professional demeanor. I received sessions for my bikini-line and upper lip, and have been pleased with the results. Recently, Assara brought-on a new Customer Service Manager, Miriam, who introduced herself to me about 1 month ago. She was super polite and professional, and made it a point to ask me for feedback on their treatment processes and customer service. This added touch made me very pleased that I chose Assara as my laser center. I have recommended Assara to many friends and family. I always hear positive feedback from them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 6/15/2009

I have been going to Assara Laser Centers for the past 5 months and my results have been excellent. I love the fact that it is located in a Medical Center, with several cosmetic doctors available to speak with me. The center is kept super sterile, and the Director and staff are very warm and congenial. I initially went into do my underarms but recently started doing bikini as well. It is so easy to wake up in the morning, go to work, without having to worry about shaving and taking up half of my morning. I have also been going to the beach a lot and I feel so much better about my appearance with no stubble. I recommend this center to any others in the city and I have been to a lot to check them out. more

I had an appointment for lasering withought having a consultaion first. I found out later that clients can come for free consults. Bottom line, I suggest lasering at Assara. There may be other good clinics around but I know for sure that this one did the trick for me. I lasered numerous body partsand I am happy with the results. I like the technicians, they really know their stuff! You can ask them ANYTHING! And you can feel very comfortable with them. Thumbs up all the way! Pros: they know their stuff more

Professional, Will Return, Would Recommend to Friends 6/14/2009

Sometimes even a little hair can make one uncomfortable. I had some unwanted hair in different areas on my body that I could not get rid of on my own. It became a hassle and upset me too much. I decided to look for a more permanent solution. My best friend suggested laser hair removal instead of waxing or tweezing. She recommended Assara to me as place she went to remove her spider veins. I hadn't heard of permanent hair removal before, so at first I was hesitant but figured I might as well give it a try. My appointment began with a consultation with one of their laser specialists. We discussed the the treatment process. I was happy to learn that the process was very quick, and that I could resume my day as normal right after a treatment. I decided to try a session on some stray hairs on my chin. This was 1 week ago. At the moment, my chin is perfectly smooth. Everything went as expected. Assara is professional. They are also organized, clean, quick. I will come back to have other areas treated, and would recommend them to other friends. more

Pleased With My Laser Hair Removal Treatments 6/14/2009

I had tried it all. Obviously, shaving is a daily-annoyance. Waxing becomes expensive, time consuming, and sometimes will leave my skin irritated. The hair removal creams had nauseating smells. The threading removal was painful and expensive. All of these were not for me. I needed something different. I googled hair removal and Assara came up. I was at the end of my rope so I gave it a chance. It is like magic for me. Virtually no pain. No rashes. No smell. No side effects. Not too expensive. The reps there are the bomb. I've read some reviews about Assara on City Search and they can be very helpful in assisting you make decisions about Assara Lasering. Now, you can read my review now that I've tried Assara out for myself. I didn't believe it was necessary to have lasering done on my body but I heard some very positive comments from those who had tried it and wanted to check it out myself. My first treatment was done on my legs followed by facial hair and underarms. I am extremely pleased with the results. I didn't realize what a drag it was to worry about removing unwanted hair until I had these treatments done. Threading or waxing facial hair was always annoying and difficult and not having to worry about it any longer is such a relief! I love feeling my soft skin all the time and I may even branch out again and try lasering more of my body! I'm love being smooth! more

Impressive 6/14/2009

This is a quick review after having some treatments done at Assara Laser . . . I hope this will assist in making a decision whether to have treatments done at Assara. Facts to bear in mind before I begin: I cannot compare clinics as I've only had treatments done at Assara. I am pain sensitive and I am cost-sensitive. Laser hair removal has been on my mind long before I decided to visit Assara. But, I was concerned that the process might be too expensive, or worse yet, ineffective. Rest assured, the process works! My results were simply remarkable. I am so happy to never deal with those prickly stubs I used to get almost immediately after shaving (especially when it was cold outisde). Comparable to other clinics, Assara is quite affordable. I've also found them to be very accommodating to my busy schedule, and have given me late evening appointments when I needed one. All in all, Assara is an impressive hair removal clinic and I would recommend it. more
