My family and I eat out quite a bit so we acknowledge the fact that every restaurant has its own style of food and service. Arcodoro's food and service is top notch. Chef GianCa...

Outstanding evening and attention to detail - food, service and atmosphere. 8/26/2008

Most recently our family had a special evening where we all gathered to share a meal and catch up with each other. The group was large and included several children, so we gathered in the private room. The attention to everyones needs was outstanding - from the special requests of the adults and the children, to the service given to ensure everyone had a fun evening. Thank you to the entire staff for making our evening so special - we all appreciate your efforts and the wonderful food and look forward to our next trip! Pros: food, service Cons: no highchairs more

This restaurant knows how to take make its customers feel welcomed! 8/22/2008

I want to thank Arcodoro for the most wonderful dinner party my family had a few weeks ago in the Sardinian Room. The food was fabulous, but more importantly, the attention the staff (and in particular Joe) gave to the party to ensure we had a great evening was outstanding. Joe took such a personal interest in making sure everything was taken care of beyond any expectation, and my family noticed every detail. My family is still talking about what a nice evening it was and when we will do it again! more

Dessert good, Food not at all tasty, customer service AWFUL 8/12/2008

A group of us came here for Restaurant Week after some glowing reviews from a few sources only to be highly disappointed. The service here was terrible and extremely unprofessional. One member of our group could understand Spanish and hadto sit there listening to the Spanish-speaking staff curse at us or to one another in Spanish. The head waiter for our table actually cursed at another waiter and admonished him for bringing us ""too much bread""! Another actually glared at us for asking for ""regular water"" instead of the branded water. Pros: Dessert, parking Cons: SERVICE SERVICE SERVICE, most food more

Awful service..will never go back 5/13/2008

The service at this place was awful. We had to ask to get a menu, we had to call our waiter to order our drinks, we had to ask our waiter to bring bread, then once they brought the food we had to ask them to bring pepper and parmesan cheese (we were all eating pasta and we shouldn't have to ask them to do this when paying 25-30$ a plate), we then had to ask to get the check which took a good 20 mins..not once did the waiter ask us how we were doing. On top of that, I felt the food was really overrated...I will never come back and I do not recommend this place to anyone. There are so many better Italian restaurants out there! Pros: Parking, nice outside eating area Cons: SERVICE, Food, Value more

Inattentive Service 5/12/2008

The food was okay but the service was terrible. We had to ask for menus after we were seated, and we had to ask them again to bring the bread to our table. One of us had to stand up and walk over to our server just to get their attention when we were ready to order. When it was time to pay, they were very rude when we asked them to put our meals on separate bills. They didn't seem to understand that some of us were paying with cash, and others were paying with debit or credit. About 20 minutes later they finally brought our separate bills. Overall, it was not the best start to our prom night. Pros: The bathrooms were clean. Cons: The service left much to be desired. more

extremely small portions and highly over priced! 5/4/2008

Highly over rated! I ordered some type of stuffed ravioli...which honestly tasted as if it were just heated up from out of a can! there was no meat....for a $30 order of about 6 small squares of cheese ravioli! I do understand the quality of good food and sometimes good food can be highly priced BUT the food was not at all worth the price! I dont understand how this restaurant is still in business....the food is tasteless...and extremely over priced...and i have never seen such small portions EVER!! Pros: very friendly staff Cons: extremely small portions, tasteless food, extremely over priced! more

Very nice! 4/30/2008

A perfect evening. Was seated in a comfortable location. Waiter was very helpful with the wine list. Menu was unique yet traditional for Italian. After a great meal the manager even came over and briefly spoke with us to see how everything was. Great food. Great service. Great time. more

Amazing Sardinian Cuisine in a Warm, Friendly Atmosphere 4/28/2008

A great find! A charming atmosphere, laid-back and cozily lit with much attention given to detail. The staff was wonderful. Our waiter answered all of our questions about Sardinian cuisine and recommended the perfect wine to compliment our meal. The food was fabulous and distinctive, while still not straying too far from its roots. I tried the Costata D'oro, an aged Black Angus rib-eye steak in a garlic marinade. It was delicious. I highly recommend this unique Sardinian restaurant and will definitely be going back. Pros: Knowledgeable Staff, Great Food! more

They Need HELPPPPPPPPPPP 4/3/2008

I was sat promptly and had to ask my server whom wanted to take my drink order for a wine list, He was not briefed on the wines and had no suggestions. As we reviewed our menu I ordered the tomato and mozzarella appetizer, our server still insisted and brought over the appetizer special that was plated for my approval. He did not get it, I wanted the tomato and mozzarella appetizer not the special. Perhaps I should have gotten his hint? The tomato mozzarella appetizer cam with 4 thin tomato slices and a small Buffalo ball cut in half for 14.95. Appetizer came promptly as well as are dinner that was outstanding, but after the dinner was served our served disappeared for nearly 30 minutes then after asking if we carried for dessert disappeared for nearly 45 min. I don?t mine a pricy menu when the chef has created extraordinary dishes but the appetizer was not there and the manager? Did they have one? He never made a presents in the dining room. There are to many great restaurants in that area to try this restaurant a second time. Pros: Dinner was good Cons: Appatizer needs work and service what service? What Manager? more

I won't go back! 2/15/2008

On a valentines dinner night, I paid $70 for a porterhouse steak that was kinda tough. And the steak knife was'nt even sharp enough to cut it smooth. I was fighting the steak all night and finally gave up. I did'nt complain to the manager because it was suppose to be a romantic evening with my fiancee. more

Lousy Service 12/26/2007

The food was mediocre at best, but the service was even worse. We had an older grey haired waiter that felt as though he was doing us a favor by waiting on us. He almost never made eye contact while speaking to us and we had to ask the busboys to get him everytime we needed him! The sad part of it all is that the restaurant only had 4 other tables in the dining room! We'll never go back, it was a complete waste of time and money! My main concern is this, how can the management not observe that this ""professional waiter"" is doing such a lousy job...in the long run this restaurant will suffer. more

Best Sardinian Restaurant in Houston 12/22/2007

My fiance and I like to dine out, and Arcodoro is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is delcious. I would recommend one of my favorite dishes, which is the ""risotto al nero con scampi al timo"". They also have a great selection of wine. The service is amazing; they always treat us like family. more

What a bad service in such a nice place 10/14/2007

Arcodoro was a big dissapointment. The service has been one of the worst. They said that i had to order appetizer, main course and dessert all at once because their computer service was old. That did not make any sence! I complained to the manager and they were able to fix the problem. The place is beautiful, but the food was rather plain. The best thing was the tiramisu. I don't think i will be returning to Arcodoro, there are better Italian restaurants in Houston. Pros: nice impresive inside and good location Cons: bad service, non impresive dishes more

Ok Pizza & not much else 9/18/2007

As an owner of an Italian restaurant, and an Italian I'm not going to be able to recmmend this place. This surely is with respect to the man, a friend , who owns the place but due to very poor managment and the lack of ""good"" food the restaurant is not much to talk about. I think that if it wasn't for his location and the decor then he would not be doing any business. Now if you want the closest thing to an Italian food there's only one place in Houston and that's Da Marco. It's almost the same price but the food is like a night and day. I don't work for Da Marco and I've got nothing against Arcodoro but the service and the food. It's beyond me how some folks can open a restaurant and call it Italian, "" Sardenian or not"". If you want to go there and hang out a little and have a pizza with a beer or glass of wine then it's ok but that's all I can say about Arcodoro and most the so called, "" Italian Restaurant"" in Houston. Pros: location and decor Cons: food and service more

Poor Service and poor quality - not Italian 9/2/2007

Nice decor but otherwise pricy food and very poor service. We treated a friend for her birthday and waited for 90 minutes before receving our entrees. In the meantime, we wanted to enjoy our bread & wine, but we couldn't even do that - we had to ask for our bread. When the food came, we were quite disappointed and we didn't even get a slice of cake with a birthday candle. We paid for that cake. Small portions, poor quality and poor customer service for the price. I wouldn't waste money or ruin a Saturday night on their food. Try other Italian restuarants if you want great Italian food, great service, and reasonable prices. Pros: Decor Cons: Everything else more
