Best haircut in town 6/15/2006

I used to go to Maksou because of its proximity to my office, but when my haristylist left, there was no one there that could give me a great haircut at a reasonable price. Amad, the owner of Amaci, is the best and gives the best haircut in town and for a better price than other salons in Boston. He goes out of his way to make sure all customers get great service. I have recommended Amaci to my girlfreind who gets her highlights done at Amaci. Amad has more than earned her trust, she won't let anyone else touch her hair! more

I highly recommend Amaci Salon! Amad has been cutting my hair since 1998 and I have been a client of Amaci Salon since it opened. He does a fabulous job cutting my hair .. I won't go to anyone else. The salon is a friendly and relaxing enviroment. You'll love it!! more

It's amazing what a good haircut can do for ya'! 6/11/2006

I HIGHLY recommend Amaci Salon! It's the easiest way to get a great cut & color and avoid routine, stale style & color. Since becoming an Amaci client, I've constantly been told that my hair looks the best that it ever has-- and most importantly, I agree! Amad & the Amaci staff are not only very adept with various approaches to cutting hair (wet & dry) and coloring, they offer superb advice to tame unruly hair (like mine) recommending great products and demonstrating styling techninques so I can duplicate the "just got my hair done" look every day. I've been very impressed with Amad's dedication to customer satisfaction- if you don't like your hair, he's not happy. In addition, I love being able to call last minute, when I REALLY need a haircut, and schedule an appointment that fits my schedule (even Saturday evenings) and that is not a month away. They're easy access by car or the Arlington St. Green Line stop. And while I haven't ventured into the skin-care portion of the salon, everytime I'm there I see contented customers coming & going- maybe I'll have to try that next. more

I started going to Amaci as a referral from a friend and I am only upset I did not listen to her sooner. I have gotten more compliments on my color and cut than I can count. They have the best of both worlds of outstanding service as well as professional and comfortable environment in the salon itself, but one of the best things about them is their ability to accommodate my schedule since I travel a lot for work and the weeks go by before I know it I need an appointment and they are always able to accommodate my chaotic schedule. Last I think the location is ideal, you can get there by T or the parking lot is there if you need it I can't say enough of how great this place is and how I would highly recommend them to anyone. more

My blonde is no longer BLAH-nde 5/31/2006

Dominic saved my blonde from the blahs!! I went in with highlights that had washed out my color and left me only able to describe it as 'blah'. I didn't know what it needed, didn't know how to ask for the right thing to correct it, but Dominic took one look at it, heard me say 'blah' and without further instruction knew immediately what to do! I left with a gorgeous head of honey blonde highlights with depth and warmth! I'm new to the Boston area and I can't thank City Search enough -- thanks to these reviews I found my salon on my first try!! The staff are friendly and upbeat and my hair looks fabulous! I'll definitely go back! Take my advice and go there too! more

It completely changed my life! I am no longer a frumpy, lifeless, dishelved thirty-something. Amad works absolute wonders! Thanks to Amad's expertise and brilliance, I now have unapologetically beautiful color and my hair is incredibly healthy. I have NEVER received so many compliments before - even my old colorist loves it! And everyone at the salon, especially Dominec, is fabulous, friendly and fun!! Trust me - I come up from RI to have Amad cut and color my hair. Make an appointment and let Amad and crew bring out your inner vixen! You will NOT be disappointed! Amaci is the ONLY Choice! 5/19/2006

Amad has been cutting and highlighting my hair since the salon opened on Stuart St. I can honestly say that I have never feel better than when I walk out of that Salon! He is a master with color, and amazing with cuts. I never know what I want when I sit down in his chair, and he always says, "dont worry, I know exactly what we will do." It is always something different, and always fresh and trendy. The atmosphere of the salon is relaxing and inviting, I never want to leave! If you are looking for the BEST, you will finally find it off of Newbury Street. Pros: Friendly, knowledgable, Never Looked Better! more
