Amaci Salon

Visited Amaci for the first time ever and was extremely impressed! I was set up with Michelle who was a sweetheart from the beginning. She was so thorough and detailed and showed that she really cares about her work. I had been nervous because I was coming in to fix a prior bad haircut and she did an amazing job! So happy I found a new stylist! Will definitely be back :) more

The percentage does not make sense here. Amaci is not that good. I've been there for a cut and i was not thrilled with the results more

I decided it was time to try a new salon, something close to where I work in Back Bay and stumbled upon Amaci Salon - I am so glad I did! (On a side note, after going to the same hairdresser in the North End for over 20+ years, I decided it was time to find somebody new after she decided to chop off all my hair, after I told her to cut 1 inch off, and gave me one of the worst dye jobs I've ever seen. Not to mention she had been very icy towards me the last several times I went there. Not good. It's been six months since I last went to her and she hasn't contacted me since - so much for loyalty!) more

Anna is such a sweet heart and she really knows how to do eyebrows. She was friendly, the eyebrow threading was quick, clean, and cheap. I brought in a picture of what I wanted and explained that I want dramatic angular eyebrows with a high arch, thick as possible. Before she started she drew out what was possible to do, and what she thought was the best eyebrow shape or my face. I always get scared that whoever is doing my eyebrows will end up thinning them out too much, but the way Anna shaped my eyebrows made them look thicker and more dramatic than before she did them. Also, she is very very good at trimming! It really added to the sharp look I wanted more

So I went to Amaci Salon for the first time and was very nervous to change to a new salon. I requested Amad as my stylist because he had amazing reviews. I came into the salon and the receptionist was very welcoming when saying hello and the salon seemed very cozy but looked sleek and modern. She offered me coffee or water and had me put a robe and there was plenty of magazines available to read. I then proceeded to get my hair done with Amad and the result was the best color/cut I've ever received! I am so happy I finally got what I wanted especially since my old hairstylist just started not listening to me and seemed to be turning into someone who thought they were the better than everyone. All I can say is I will definitely be returning as Amad's regular client! more

I walked in the door about 2 minutes before my appointment time. Waited while a stylist chatted with the receptionist, who was texting on her phone at the same time. Was given a smock when I asked for the ladies room, and told while I'm in there to change into this. Came out and sat in the waiting area. Man comes in the shop, receptionist says ""She's in the bathroom, oh wait, she's right there."" (If you've been here you know I was sitting right under her nose, and I was the only one waiting.) He leaves the shop for about 5 minutes, returns and takes me to the chair. Long story short, the unprofessional beginning should have been warning enough. I sat through an hour long trim having to hear an awful lot about all of the stylist's issues he is dealing with. When he finished the blow dry there was no checking of the cut. Not a single comb through or checking the bottom for length or strays. My hair is not even. The bottom is about an inch longer on the right than the left. A simple check could have remedied that. As for the cleanliness of the place, one woman was windex mopping the floors. (+) The restroom could use some updating, as in when you have to put in a new toilet paper holder, fix the old holes in the wall. I have no idea how this salon has gotten an average of 5 stars after the experience I had. As for the reviews that say have a glass of wine, a coffee, even water, I was not offered any form of beverage at all. I just don't get it. Think twice about having your hair done here. more

Okay so I went to her for my first time. , very quick, very clean, and talented. I learned that not everybody can be a waxer. They need precision, steady hand, and good timing. Anna has all of that and she's a clean person which is a plus. Because I'm a struggling college graduate, I opt for a different salon that charge $10 cheaper. To my surprised, not just they double dip the wax stick, they also leave me unclean, irritated and an ingrowed after my second wax. Even after I treat my skin with care after the wax, exfoliate before. I don't know what come to my mind, really! Now I'm back with Anna, and my skin has no problem, and I'm very happy. Be on time for your appt., :) more

I am very picky and apprehensive about who cuts my hair. I went to Amaci Salon this week for the first time, and I have never been happier. Amad is amazing at his job and really knows how to deal with hair and make the client feel beautiful. You can tell this is what he enjoys and was supposed to do. My hair feels so healthy and light, and even the blow-dry was the best one I've ever gotten. The salon is clean and classy, and the whole staff is very friendly and makes you feel comfortable. I enjoyed my visit from beginning to end and I look forward to going back again in the near future! more

I first went to Amaci because it's across the street from my job in Park Plaza. I was thrilled with my first visit. Michelle is awesome. She may be the most thorough stylist I've ever had. During that first visit, she got herself a new regular customer. I'm going to try an eyebrow waxing, tonight! more

I got my color and highlights done by Amad, the owner, and he did a fantastic job. He knew exactly what color would look good on my complexion without me even knowing what I wanted. The color came out great and my hair was left feeling soft and looking shiny. I would definitely recommend Amaci Salon to someone looking for color treatment and highlights. The prices are reasonable and completely worth it for the caliber of work that the stylists do. more

Anna does AWESOME eyebrows! She takes her time so much and really asks you what you want. Yet if you ask for her opinion, she has a very good eye and will tell you what goes will with the shape of your face. You know she does an amazing job because she works so carefully - you have to book a 20 minute appointment several days in advance. I was a little unsure about the shape and she literally will threaded my eyebrows layer by layer and had me check in a mirror each time so she could get it just perfect! I ended up going for a cleaner look but not exactly the shape she wanted me to have, just because I had a formal that night. But I'll let it grow out and have her do the right shape for me for next time! thank u Anna :))) more

I go to Domenic at Amaci and I have to say that he is, hands down, the best hair stylist I've ever had. He's been in this business for 15+ years and really knows what he's doing. I've followed him whenever he's made a career shift from one salon to another and would follow him anywhere! I place a lot of importance on the way my hair is cut and colored and he knows exactly what I want with very little consultation. The service is also amazing. He goes above and beyond to accommodate your needs. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a cut and color. more

I went to Amaci Salon and everyone was very welcoming and sweet. My stylist Katie was amazing it was my first time with her and I wasn't sure about what I wanted and she gave me a lot of great suggestions for my color and cut and I love it! It came out exactly the way i wanted and I am very happy. I am definitely going to recommend her to my friends. more

The Amaci Salon in Boston is a top of the line hair salon. My experience there was awesome. All of their staff are extremely friendly, it was a warm and enjoyable environment. The haircut was the best cut I have received in years. I would recommend this salon to anyone who is seeking a very professional and enjoyable environment. more

The service was fantastic. Ahmad was amazing once again with the color and cut! I have not been to him in a few years because I moved away and boy have I been missing the best..I certainly will have to do the hour ride!! Highly recommend it! more

The service at Amaci is amazing! Right when you walk in they greet you and ask if you would like something to drink. The salon is very clean and they had all the services I wanted to get when I went in. I got my hair cut from long to a short pixie cut by Amad and it came out gorgeous. I also went for eyebrow threading for the first time with Anna and I loved it. I was nervous going in but she is so nice and she actually made my thin eyebrows look thicker. I am very pleased with Amaci and I will be going back soon. more

for eyebrow threading services only I came in kind of skeptical, but went through with it on the trusted advice of my sister. It was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded and I had already had my eyebrows trimmed two weeks before. Unfortunately, they were trimmed a little too thin for my liking. So naturally, I didn't go to anna to thin them even more, I just wanted the hairs between the brows cleaned up. Not only did she clean up my brows, she managed to defy the laws of nature and made my THIN eyebrows look FULL again! WHAT??!! I don't know how she did it, but my thin little eyebrows got their arch back and it LOOKED thicker and better than ever! I will definitely be coming back here to get my brows done,and send all of my friends to the brow goddess;D more

I went to Amaci to get Brazillian wax for the first time ever. I was, of course very nervous, but Anna made the experience comfortable (as much as possible) and not awkward at all! As a college student, I was not in Boston over spring break and therefore had to go to a local salon in my hometown. I was very upset with my experience there and it made me realize how great Anna really was! I will definetley make the trip up to boston to go to Amaci when I go home for the summer because it is that much better. more
