Simply one of the best record stores (if not THE best) in the Twin Cities - organized with care, with a ton of room to go explore and discover (check the ""Difficult Listening"" and ""Make Out Music"" sections). Dave and Laura are the kind of shop owners that want you to be comfortable, and they've created an environment where you can easily have that - be it in an easy chair by a listening station, a nice conversation with them about music or the neighborhood, or just leaving you alone to do your thing. There's no snobbery, but a lot of knowledge. Not a ton of NEW stuff, but a ton of GOOD stuff. I go there for country, soul & r&b and local music, but usually leave with something totally unexpected under my arm. Anyone serious about their record collection should plan to spend an hour there. Anyone else, totally worth a stop-in or two.
