It's not easy to find a Mexican restaurant of this caliber in Grand Rapids. Location on 28th St. is perfect when you are out shopping or if you need to do a business lunch or dinner. I have never been disapointed. if you haven't been you should definitely try this place. Great!

Fred's Pizza & Italian Restaurant in Grand Rapids is the best restaurant in the world! When you walk in to Fred's you are instantly carried away to a better place! The smell of the food is amazing! The owner Sam makes all the food on site never any of that boring chain store food"Pietro's". The servings are large the cost is low and the service the best I have ever seen. If it seems like this is heaven well yes that is true. Go to Fred's now and gorge your self, eat like there is no tomorrow, and the go back the next day for more.

Since its grand opening in 1995, Frederik Meijer Gardens has grown out of its artistic apprenticeship and blossomed into the cultural, botanical and sculptural Mecca for Michigan residents and the greater Great Lakes region. The 125-acre attraction on Grand Rapids' Northeast side is a year round experience comprised of wetlands, woodlands, meadows, indoor and outdoor botanical gardens, world-class sculptures and performances by nationally acclaimed musicians. The crown jewel of the indoor gardens is the five-story Lena Meijer Tropical Conservatory, the largest facility of its type in the state and is home to tropical plants and flowers from five continents including 30' high palm trees, coconut trees, bamboo, papyrus and vibrant orchids. The giant greenhouse also features a waterfall, gentle streams and is maintained at a delightful 75 degrees. Next to the conservatory, the Gardens' indoor horticulture collection also includes a carnivorous plant house and desert and Victorian gardens. In 2000, Meijer Gardens opened three state-of-the-art galleries that have held the works of Picasso, George Segal, Mark di Suvero and Claes Oldenburg.
The 35-acre outdoor sculpture park is filled with works by famous and world-renowned artists like Rodin, Henry Moore, Sansovino, Magdalena Abakanowicz and Jacques Lipchitz. Some of the works are colossal, the most famous of which is Leonardo Da Vinci's American Horse, the 24' bronze equestrian by sculptor Nina Akamu. Seeing is believing as no picture does it justice. It is simultaneously detailed and immense, beautiful and inspirational, fun and awe inspiring. If for no other reason, visit Meijer Gardens to see the Da Vinci Horse. The Beltline Bar is a family owned Mexican Restuarant the beats all other, in my opinion! We are lucky to live close by and will eat there every other month or so. The portions are very large and the food comes to your table quickly. The have a wide range of meals available and even have some American fare if someone in your group doesn't care for Mexican food. The prices are actually pretty cheap and the service is good. My only negative comment is that the place is so well-loved that there is often a lengthy wait to be seated!

If I could give this restaurant 10 stars, I would! First of all, it is a unique dining experience. You order a bunch of tapas (appetizers) that are mainly Mediterranian and they are brought to you scattered. (I personally recommed the ajo al horno, garlic. Yum!!!!!) You really can't go wrong with any selection. All of the servers are so well versed on their tapas and can make wonderful recommendations. The Sangria is also amazing. This is by far my absolute favorite restaurant in all of the Grand Rapids area. You are sure to leave full and have fun eating here!

Arnie's has always been one of our favorite restaurants. The food is ALWAYS great and the service is really good 9/10 of the time (once in a while you get a newbie or someone who's having a bad day). Their deserts are absolutely to die for! And you CAN'T pass up the cheese soup--it's the best! When friends & relatives come from out of town, Arnie's is the place we take them!

I recently went to the Little Mexico Cafe on the corner of Bridge and Stocking. I had been there once before with my sister and her boyfriend, that was the first time, this was the second. I was with my boyfriend and we were there for lunch and some margaritas. We were seated immediately, which was the same as the first time I was there. The odd thing is that the place is so small when you get inside it's amazing how many people it seats in relation to how packed the parking lot is. The food comes out within 10 minutes, doesn't matter who orders what, you can all have different things. It's like the know what you want when you walk in the door. The food is great the Sangria is definitely good. The prices are reasonable and there is a completely separate section for non and for those that like to smoke. I don't know if they take reservations. The people are friendly and the service is great. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for some good Mexican Food!!
