And loved it both times! It is very classy and comfortable. You feel like you walked out of Grand Rapids when you walk it. My husband and I stayed here for a Weekend to Remember Conference and it was so romantic! It is worth the money to stay here for a couple of days and get away from the world. The hotel is decorated beautifully

This Hampton Inn is located on the Southwest side of town right off US 131. I've stayed here numerous times for work purposes and have had nice stays each time. I come back pretty much for the staff. The staff has been and continues to be top notch especially the evening manager, Mike. He is always running around making sure everyone's stay is great. Like all Hampton Inns, they offer free wireless Internet access, free continental breakfast, etc. They also have a small (!!) exercise room, an indoor pool and whirlpool, computer with printer in lobby, and guest laundry. The only downside to this hotel is I question how much the owner puts into the hotel. There isn't consistency in the rooms. Some of their rooms have the new Hampton bedding but many of them don't. I have to request a new bed in order to get a nice bed. I notice that they also take many shortcuts in terms of quality products or what they offer. However, the staff is soo nice and really make you feel like it's your home away from home. So for now, I'm ok with the few negative things.

This is the place to stay in Grand Rapids. The hotel is new and the staff are outstanding. They know the area well and were able to direct us to a great restaurant. Rooms are clean and the beds are absolutely the best. We stay here on the way to taking our daughter to Blue Lake Fine Arts camp. The place was so outstanding, that I was disappointed we were only staying one night. I agree that it was a bit tough to find- it is tucked behind a strip mall, of sorts. But it is well worth the search!

Another nice Comfort Suites located in Grand Rapids. This one is on the southside of town located off 76th Street. The hotel typically always seems slow although I'm not sure why. It's a really nice clean hotel with reasonable (or atleast comparable) prices. They acourse offer the free continental breakfast, free local calls, coffee makers, and irons. Like most hotels now days, they also offer high speed internet access. They also have an exercise room, indoor pool, sauna (rare find in these parts) and an outdoor deck. All their rooms are considered suites with microwaves, mini fridges, pullout sofas. If you are expecting a true traditional suite, you will be disappointed. Like most new Comfort Suites, they two rooms are simply seperated by a half way. The staff is always friendly and willing to go the extra mile.

Great place to stay, nice clean rooms , friendly staff and great breakfast, all at a price which is extremely affordable. The rooms are very tastefully decorated and are well equipped. There is a nice small pool with a hot tub to relax and enjoy. Perfect for a weekend getaway from Chicago

I had a friend come in from Chicago and he is use to traveling in state and out of the country and he was was well pleased. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and the room was excellent and the price we paid was a steal for what they had to offer. I was proud that I select this spot. It was close to everything and most important my house and job. I would recommend it again and he states this would be his house when he is in town.
Pros: worth the price, great location, feels like home

While traveling on business before moving here, my husband and I stayed at the Crown Plaza in Grand Rapids - right off 28th street near I-96. The employees were incredibly friendly and helpful. The price for the room was reasonable as well. They offer an exercise room and a great pool. They also offer a shuttle service in case you need to go somewhere. Different hotel to stay in when visiting in the area.

The room was very nice. The kitchen and bathroom had wood flooring and the carpet had some style. This hotel is better than most in this chain. The bathroom is spacious and comfortable. The tv was small but everything was neat and clean and there are a lot of restaurants two blocks away. And the price is great.

This place is amazing! Anyone who lives in Michigan knows how hard it is to find recreation year round. Here, you don't have to rent a room to use their indoor waterpark. They even have an arcade. They have select days that you can come in and buy 5 passes for $50.00. That is 3 hours of fun at $10.00 a person. They even have birthday party packages that include tokens for the arcade, pop for everyone and pizza. Now you know what you can plan on doing when the kids are off for Thanksgiving or Christmas vacation.
