I've been going to Ballard Optical for a few years now, and I've had nothing but great experiences there. They've always been so helpful, really friendly, very responsive, and patient as hell with a very indecisive customer (aka, Me.)\r \r In August 2009, I went in for my yearly eye exam and was given a new prescription. I spent about 90 minutes (probably more) looking at frames (they have a TON of cute frames to choose from, so it was hard to decide) and the women who worked there not only helped me by showing me which frames would be best for my prescription (it's a little strong, so thin frames don't work as well for me), but they helped me with finding frames that fit the small bridge on my nose AND look good, too! They were professional and fun - not to mention very nice to spend so much time with me. \r \r I took some time to decide on my frames -- and I mean SOME TIME (as in a few months). I had recently been laid off and had a ton of personal expenses coming up, and the staff was very kind and understanding about me needing to wait a bit until I made my purchase. \r \r When I did return (in March), they not only sat with me again for hours (I'm not exaggerating here - I mean hours... Over 2 hours one time and another hour or so the next time) while I looked at more frames, they answered more questions, and helped me find the right frames for me. They really went over and above the call of duty (if it would have been me working there, I would have lost patience with me the first time back in August). And the best part -- they made the experience really fun (yes, fun at the eye doctor!!)! All of the women (Cynthia, Lisa and Isabelle) were very nice and so great to work with!\r \r And Dr Kimpton is a fantastic doctor, too! He has always been professional, kind and VERY thorough in his exam. Plus, he always asks me at the end of my exam if I have any questions and actually takes the time to answer them (this was a first for me when it comes to eye doctors – other places I’ve been rush you out of there as fast as they can).\r \r I really couldn't ask for a better place to go for eye care - Ballard Optical is the best! And, even though I no longer live in Ballard, you can be sure I'll be going back there this August when it's time to get my eyes checked again\r Pros: Thorough exams, helpful staff, tons of frames, professional Cons: Not a one
