Been going here on and off for twenty years.\r Twenty years ago they were a fun store to visit, and the only odd experience I had was a lecture on the evils of credit cards by an employee.\r The products they carry are not as unique or special anymore, and the displays are very lackiing. It may be the newer market which is to blame.\r They used to be unsurpassed for printing, now I am a little ambiguous on that count. About every third time I go for prints there is an issue. \r The first time their website was jammed up and it would have taken more than three days to get 20 prints. They said they would print off of a memory card. Went home and copied to a CF. For some reason they said they could not copy from that, only from a flash drive or SD. Finally got the prints, but I stayed away for a year since it was so inconvenient. \r They were okay for some smaller orders, then they botched an order of 150 prints and tried to tell me it had something to do with aspect ratio. Interesting, in my job I deal with this issue and it was not an applicable argument. I stayed away another year.\r Again a few small orders, then another one for a few hundred $. That was okay.\r Today I tried to get 4 prints (no kidding) for a special purpose. They copied three, but would not copy the last because they said it appeared to be a copyrighted image (a high school shot to be used as a throwaway for a year book). I was not aware of that and do not really have an issue with it, but this was scanned so I do not believe there was a digital signature. I was not asked about this, I was told by the professionals running the print machine on Sunday. \r The more I thought about it, the less I am okay with having my orders under that sort of scrutiny by technicians, especially since some of my own shots from my film days are definitely superior to this image. \r Their equipment prices are fair, and their print service is pretty good, but the employee arrogance is a bit of a turn off. Think I'll look elsewhere for a while.
