First of all the place reeked of dog urine when I first walked in, that should have been my first sign to turn around and walk back out. I brought my pup in to be groomed and when I returned to pick him up he was in a pen with other dogs. Keep in mind that I only brought him in to be groomed, not to be boarded in the doggie daycare. I was not aware that they kept the dogs in a pen once they were done being groomed. Other places I have been to keep the dogs in individual crates once they are finished, so I assumed this place would do the same. My puppy is only about 6 pounds and not used to the company of other dogs. Regardless, they should have asked for my permission to keep him with the other dogs-- which I would not have granted because he is so small and skittish around other dogs. When I picked him up I noticed he had 2 small cuts under his eye, very close to his eyeball. I brought this to the shop owner's attention and she asked the groomer about it. The groomer claimed that she did not cut close to his eyes and it was probably one of the dogs in the pen, which she acknowledged as being aggressive. All I got were a bunch of ""sorry's"". Even when I called back later that day and spoke directly to the owner, she admitted that it was a mistake to put him in the pen. She said that they ""normally don't do that"" and it must have been done when she wasn't paying attention. She just apologized again and said she'd put it in his file. I don't know if I should have expected anything more, but I will certainly not be returning. Also my dog is not neutered, which is all the more reason why he shouldn't have been put in the unsupervised pen with other dogs without my consent. Obviously they were aware that he was not neutered because they groomed him. I paid $45 for a puppy cut/bath/nail trim, which seems pretty pricey for the this lack of customer service and careless practices. Pros: parking Cons: poor customer service, careless practices, pricey, smells terrible
