Review content:
Who would have thought that a little city like Wilmington, Delaware would have such a wonderful restaurant. It's a wine bar - it's a restaurant - it's a great place to relax. My wife and I consider it to be our ""neighborhood secret find"" and have been there several times, usually for special (some not so special) occasions. I almost did not want to give it a high rating in fear of giving it away and the place getting overcrowded.\r \r Wine: over 250 bottles on the wine list and over 50 of them available by the glass, with a price range that would be acceptable to most wallets - depending on the occasion. Tom, the proprietor, tells me that he's against outrageous price mark-ups so that he can offer a selection to a wider range of customer. I priced a few of the bottles in a wine store and found his mark-up to be reasonable. However, I could not find all of the wines locally. I later found out that he takes pride in finding unusual wines and then having them shipped in from around the world, so his variety goes far beyond what the local distributor has available. Excellent!\r \r Food: a nice variety on the menu that would appeal to most. Cooked and prepared to order and presented in a grand style. Everything has always been delicious. An interesting twist is that they offer each entree in a ""small plate"" as well - for about half the price. This is nice, especially if you are not as hungry - or would rather spend your money on the wine! I like to order surf and turf this way; it's plenty to eat and it's delicious. Superior!\r \r Service: OUTSTANDING!! Every server, from the waiter to the busboy, treat you like you are the only customer in the place. They are all very personable and completely focused on your satisfaction. Every waiter I have ever had knows and understands the wine list (Tom ""makes"" them try every wine - hic!), so they are very adept at recommending a fine selection.\r Overall, Domaine Hudson is a fine restaurant that I highly recommend. Pros: Wine list, Size of meal selection, Service
