I remember 2 times he really consoled us. We had a little dog named Seigie part malamute/Rat Terrier, happy go lucky guy. He got out one day play in back yard with all our dogs. Wrestling, running and it started to rain. I was in tub. Jumped out threw cloths on and ran to back door. They all came in at once covered in mud. Got all in cleaned and bath no big deal. Seigie got it first because of his short legs he was the dirtiest. After that he started breathing hard. I rushed him to vet. Dr, Gill said blood tests. Well while we were gone he called. Seigie passed away during tests. It happens. I left him there to do a autopsy found out a parasite in muddy water got in his lungs. Nothing could have saved him. He saved my other dogs. I got them more shots and cleaned up the standing water after it rained.Made sure dogs stayed inside while it was raining. We had Gold Retriever/ Shepard mix name Sarah Ann. She needed up with Spinal problem. One leg went out then that night the other. I called hubby home and made the call to put her down. Dr, Grill told me he could help her live longer. I saw in her eyes she was suffering. He said it's your call. I held her for a few minutes and said okay let her go. He gently gave her the shot and she was gone. He hugged me and said she in a better place now. I cried all the way home so did Hubby. We had her 7 long years. Got a card in mail from Dr. Gill that week. Made us feel we did the right thing in letting her go. Don't put a man down that has that much compassion.
